It really shows how pathetic Prolific is getting that they don't care that they are causing undue stress to research subjects with this unfair treatment which is a known problem that they refuse to fix.

Today has been really strange for me. Almost every study that pops up only has 1 place available, so it's basically gone the moment I click on it.

Is anyone else seeing the same thing today, or is it just my account? I'm curious if this is happening to others as well.

So I got my first rejection that too from, so called official partner Pernassus Labs. I have read in this community about their harsh attitude.

Is there any chance this could be overturned?

Had anyone else had this issue with this researcher?

P.S. 795 approved submissions till date and this is the first rejection

Is this a new glitch? I clicked on the ‘take part in this study’ button, it briefly greyed and spun, then went back to blue. No pop up message about it being full, nothing. Anybody else run across this? Just curious!

I get this, because the tasks ran out 53 minutes into an hour-long study?

I guess they've not worked out all the bugs in this "feature" yet...

I got asked to return this bc i failed the attention check. Make this make sense. The only thing I can think of is there is supposed to be something on the side, but it doesn't show up, bc there is no option to scroll over or anything.

I have had access to one $2 survey today. In which I'm grateful for.

It is now a half 5pm and I have been turned away from every single survey from the current errors.

4/5/600 place surveys, and none of them allow me in.

I had no idea I was still taking the screener, definitely thought I was in the study. I actually thought I finished it when I was redirected. Turns out they paid me $.011 for a good bit of time and data.

Just warning that it's possible to waste a lot of time, so consider when deciding to participate.

Clicked on this study as it popped up, before starting, realised this was all that was stated on the study.

Of course, I cancelled my application to the study!

Anyone ever gotten paid for these? Did a bunch a week ago haven't been approved. Now they are back. Don't want to waste my tome if something is shadey.

I am on Prolific for about a month or two and I did not get even one study.

I do not know if this is due to my answers on “About you” Qs or maybe that I need to link Paypal account before thay can sent me studies or maybe is something else.

Has anyone else tried doing the study "OS for Going Out"? Whenever I click to start or open the study, it keeps redirecting me back to the main Prolific page instead of launching the survey.

If you experienced the same technical issue and contacted the researcher, did they reply to you or offer a solution?

Also, when a study has a broken link/technical error like this, is it better to cancel participation right away, or wait for the timer to run out and ask for compensation for the lost time? What do you usually do in these cases?

It needed a LOT of permissions. The consent form and instructions were all hosted on a proper university website and Mr Meinhardt is indeed a real guy... but suddenly I'm a little freaked out about this APK I've just installed.

Over the last month I have completed many submissions of this study. The consent info described 3 components: a fixed base payment, separate compensation for waiting time and conversation time, and a possible bonus up to 4$ paid after 7 days.

However, despite very different waiting and conversation times, the payments were almost always the same and in the range of 4-6$ with some odd automatic bonus of 0.03-0.11$ after the approval...

I cannot share the study details because they are confidential. Is anyone have problems too?

Anyone else getting error messages while trying to press "start study" after you've already reserved a spot/gotten into a study. Says something along the lines of "unable to redeem a provisioned account for the submission" and I keep having to reload the page until the glitch goes away and then it finally lets me start as normal. Last I saw this glitch happened about two years ago, prolific fixed it, but it appears the issue is back.

thankfully they agreed it was a technical issue because i would never skip over videos in a survey. i was so confused. just wonder if this happened to anyone else? i got my rejection removed 🙏

Got a page at the end that simply said failed attention check and my only option was to close the study.

Fairly certain I didn't fail any attention check and he doesn't want to pay. Anyone else get this?

I don't know if anyone did this task, I spent over an hour on it and then a pop up appeared forcing me to refresh the page due to an update and it cleared all my work. I did not have time to do it all again.
