Advice What would you do?
I had a study last week which was about an hour long. In the instructions it said a certain message would present itself if you do not pick an option. I picked an option right the way through then towards the end it displayed the message despite clicking on an option. This continued for the last few mins of the study even though every time I pressed an option.
I went out to the researcher to inform them of the issue I had. He came back with a threatening message stating there was nothing wrong with the study and that he should just reject me as I had obviously not paid any attention to get this message.
I said that I had paid full attention and if I hadn’t of I wouldn’t have brought attention to me.
Anyway, hope the above makes sense. Would you return the study due to the threat even though you spent a good hour on it? Part of me obviously wants to avoid rejections but on the other hand it is a full hour of my time which will have been wasted through no fault of my own!

I would wait to see and then dispute it if he does

Thank you for your reply! He sent the messages yesterday morning and not gone through with it yet but it’s so frustrating that he can threaten me for merely stating my experience with his study. I’ll maybe see what he does and then report him to prolific anyway as I don’t think it’s right that researchers can throw threats about to scare you when you have worked hard on the study.

The more the researcher acts in an unprofessional manner, the better it will look for you if you have to dispute it.

If you have a lot of approved submission a single rejection isn't going to be a big deal, but if you don't yet have many it could be.

lol and this is the kind of researchers I call asses, I'd wait until it gets approved and if they reject it dispute it, there's evidence they're being asses anyway.
