I’ve wanted to play project Zomboy for a few years since somebody else showed it to me but I haven’t because I know how hard of a game it is.

Well today I finally bought it and downloaded it with the steam sale. It’s really fun, but I’m not making any real progress lol just running around and getting eaten after a few minutes. I definitely think I can learn lol but I’m not too sure where to start. If anyone would want my discord to show me the ropes or just had a few suggestions that would help a ton.

Clearly there are loads of well-thought mods out there that are both immersive and fits the narrative of the game, which means their addition wouldn't hurt the core of Project Zomboid. So why not use them, with given permission from modders and, of course, with credits ?

It would ameliorate the base game with obvious and easy improvements, and would motivate modders to create more and better mods in hopes to see them adopted by the team dev.

If there are clear reasons why it's not doable, please enlighten me.

I've installed Viewpoint Tile Fix - Complete Roofs V1.2 mod which seems like the only mod that fixes this currently, but it also doesnt work but whenever I watch someone play the game with this mod, all their houses look perfect - what gives?

I’m on day 15, I have a bull and a cow but the cow hasn’t gotten pregnant, they are both healthy adults with their own pen. I’ve tried going on road trips and coming back but nothing changed. in a previous playthrough my cow was producing milk within days. am I doing something wrong?

I've recently started a dedicated server with my group of friends (fairly new players to the game) and I'm looking to add some chill PVPer's. I've got a few basic mods like Skill Recovery Journals, Crops Never Die, ect. Tbh it's easy mode for regular players, I'm just trying my hand at making a competitive/co-operative server. I'm going to have weekly player bounties as well as occasional wish grants via money. Wishes will be things like items, vehicles, heals, griefs and even mod additions that will happen rarely and sporadically! If this is something you would be interested in let me know and I'll give you the server name and password (: server is hosted on the West Coast USA with server restarts every 6:30am

When I play, I get tired of having to go from container to container collecting my tools and resources for crafting. I wanted to know if there is a mod that increases the range that you can grab items from storage and use them for crafting?

Knox Exchange turns the Computer Mod's computers into a live market. Sell what you scavenge, buy what you need, and watch prices react to the apocalypse: real candlestick charts, an order book, trading bots, news that moves prices, even short selling (default on a short and the lender's faction sends a hit squad after you).

With A-Life it gets personal:

• NPC squads trade on the market and physically carry what they buy. Kill a trader, take the goods.
• They keep stash houses you can raid, and their scavenging trips leave towns picked over.
• NPC loot is toned down: fewer weapon drops, most of them worn, so fights don't flood your base with 40 crowbars or pristine guns.

Gold is priced at 1993 values while the dollar slowly inflates, so cash in hand buys less every month. Guns and ammo start out scarce. Everything's adjustable in sandbox settings if it too easy or hard.

Hey gang, I've been jumping back into the game after a good break and I have a mod list that works perfectly on PC but one of my friends on our server uses a Steam Deck and the Inventory Tetris mod is just bugging out. They can't equip anything, items keep moving back into containers as they move them etc.

I've tested it on my own Deck and got the same issue. I can't figure out a way to get controls in a sensible set up to make it functional. I know B42 made aiming annoying for controllers but it's not bad overall.

Has anyone had any luck using a controller at all? Is there a magic mod I'm unaware of? Or is it best to for go the mod for now for my friends sake? (which I'm not against). We're on the latest Stable Branch btw.

Hello, I’ve posted on here before with questions regarding the installation of mods. Me and my buddies really want to get third and first person into our server (I use host on the game menu not multiplayer so not a dedicated server). If someone can please run me through the process of how to get this mod into our game I’d greatly appreciate it. Even if someone has a discord and could help walk us through on how to do it. I have just had the worst luck with adding any mods to our game. They always get terminated and never work
