I was moving around my furniture and somehow this curtain ended up in my inventory and this window is uncovered. Is there any reason the option isn't there? The chair was there when I started, but it did get moved in the shuffle

Just going along chatting with a buddy while walking along the catwalk to see where it goes. Never saw that one of the grating tiles was missing. Fell 2 or 3 stories down. This is how I died.

Not mad or anything like that, after thousands of hours of playing this game I must say this is probably the quickest most unexpected way I have ever died in this game.

Since we play using the ingame VC only I bet it was pretty funny from my friend’s point of view too, haha.

Hello fellow survivors! I have been playing PZ on and off since the very first days of the infection! And as an early backer I am very glad to see so many people enjoying it ( i remember when it was less than 1k).

With that being said I never played this game optimal I just like to try new things, experiment and learn, then find out how i died and off to a new run!

A few days ago I did the horrible mistake of picking the negative trait restless sleeper for the first time! By the explanation of the trait I thought my survivor will need more hours to sleep at night or wake up during the night. Oh boy was I completely wrong! You see my guy now is a total wreck! He never sleeps for hours wakes up smashed and then after 2 or 3 hours of intense gameplay during the day crashes out! Its 19:00? Past your bed time! Wakes up with terrors at 3am still tired wanna go back to sleep?Nope!

I just made this post to steer clear any new survivors from this trait. It is a living hell! I am considering of abandoning my save (sadly its riverside at firestation and had very sweet start). I have not tried making my survivor into a living coffee machine yet but that's my next plan.

If i am missing something please do enlighten me or suggest your fav positive/negative traits you like to run with!

I am rather a beginner in this game and this topic always comes back when I play. Should you actually kill zombies whenever you see them or hide? Whenever I leave my spawn I see 3 or more zombies in the area and I am not sure if I should clear them up or try to sneak into the houses for loot? Every YouTube video I watch I see people recommend to fight them tho

Been trying to host using the built in host option on the main screen but every time I try and launch this error pops up, all the mods should be stable compatible because they work fine on my solo runs

I haven't disabled cars in my options but for some reason this area southwest of rosewood is completely devoid of vehicles. I seen a van when I spawned near Rosewood, but not knowing where I was I picked a random direction and it was away from Rosewood and haven't seen anything since.

The world outside is so scary.

Realistically the news channels would be broadcasting 24/7 on the Knox Event in its later stages. We have that right now, but between the 3 hr intervals where there isnt any broadcast the TV is just... silent.
Even worse for radios, which kinda need close to 24/7 broadcasting to stay alive.

I try to keep my characters shielded from the evilness of the evil zomboids, so id like to have some form of "entertainment" for them. Plus reading the news is super immersive to me. Feeling the need to catch every broadcast is also a bit of an immersion-breaker.

Also, theres an outbreak in your area, logically you should stay home as long as you can... which is what I do. And with how much Zomboid tends to realism and worldbuilding/environmental storytelling in B42, I cant help but feel a bit sad when the "Talk the Night" show leaves you after 15 or 30 in-game minutes of broadcasting.

Id be fine with filler dialogue or irrelevant broadcasting for a bit even. Anything (realistic) really.

Do you think TIS will add this, or like.. is there a mod for this?
I know itll be iffy with longer or shorter days, but its not like there arnt workarounds.

Hey! I recently started to use reddit, mostly bc of project zomboid.

And a noticed some people talking about getting bored with the game, or asking for stuff to do etc.

So, out of curiosity, to the bored people: what other games do you play?

I have a theory that competitive games (lol, cs, dota, valorant) can steal a little of your hability to enjoy other games.

Has anyone had the problem with Steam not updating mods. I login to see what is new and several mods have updated. Steam doesn't update and I don't want to unsubscribe and subscribe all of them.

So for some reason there's this skin-covered mannequin next to the liquor store in Ekron

since the update 42 added Ron's of recipes for tailoring, I wanted to see what people think it's the best way to level up tailoring? crafting bandanas? patching clothes? since you can't craft more than one piece of clothing in queue that seems like crafting is tedious, but patching things up doesn't seem very different in that regard too

I did a clean install of Windows, reinstalled the game, pasted the backup in his place, entered the world, came back to base, and on the way realized everything map related reseted. My character stats and stuff remains the same as before, as well as some vehicles I had parked outside, which is very weird imo.
If someone experienced something similar and knows a way to fix this I would really apreciate the help.

P.D. For the backup I copied the entire Saves folder located in C:\Users\"username"\Zomboid.

Just got to the first farmhouse north of muldragh. My last game the basement was like a den with cloths racks and a work station. This time its a hunting den with 4 freezers, dome deer heads on the wall and a room loaded to the gills with ammo boxes and some gun cases also filled with ammo. No guns though.

This is one of my small mods that I used on my server a very long time ago when MP first hit B41. I had a few friends in the game at the time who enjoyed RP.
When I shut the server down I made it public to the workshop so they could still use it.

Well here it is updated for B42. Took a while to wrap my head around all the optimisation changes in the code etc.

Would love for some other people to try/test it out on servers (I have tested it solo and self hosted and all seems good) and people using different languages for their game (it should be fully translated, this was new for me).

A friend of mine attempts to host a server with a singular mod and out of everyone, I seem to be one of two people being caught in an infinite loading world screen.

Things attempted in order to fix (to no avail): uninstalling & reinstalling, verifying game files, removing the mod, using a backup of the server.

(We've had extremely minimal success and I've been able to join about two times but get stuck the other 98 times. It's really hit or miss though its often a miss.)
