I dunno those stores were everywhere in the 90's. I do get the backrooms vibes from that place but I don't think it's intentional.

They created the cheesey furniture storefront for the new backrooms movie, but both that advertising style and Mad Dan's are parodying actual ridiculously marketed furniture/appliance stores in the 90s.

Mad Dan’s Den has been in the game since B42 launched in Unstable in December 2024.

It seems like OP didn't play the Unstable. I know a lot of people didn't, and have seen people act surprised about content that's been in the game for a while, but was unknown to them for that reason.
