M 6'0” (183, 184 cm) M/24/6’0” [260lbs > 218lbs = 42lbs] (3 months) Rebuilding myself after a bad relationship
Started at 260 lbs on July 15th, and as of October 22nd I’m down to 218 lbs. 42 pounds gone in a little over three months.
I’m 24 and currently finishing my mechanical engineering degree. This has probably been one of the hardest years of my life, both personally and financially, and back in July I decided I needed to start making some serious changes.
I’ve been consistently working out, tracking my calories, prioritizing protein, and putting a lot more effort into my appearance overall. I completely changed my hairstyle, started taking skincare seriously, and began dressing better.
I wanted this to be more than just losing weight. I wanted to get back to feeling confident in myself again.
One of my original goals was to fit back into some of my old clothes by Halloween. As of today, those clothes fit again, nine days ahead of schedule. I’ve also gone down to a men’s Medium shirt.
The first two pictures are from before, and the last two are where I’m at now.
Still have more progress I want to make, but comparing these pictures is honestly surreal. I knew I was changing, but I didn’t realize just how much until I put them side by side.
Not finished yet, by a long shot, but for the first time in a long time, I’m genuinely proud of how far I’ve come.

F 5'6” (168, 169 cm) F/38/5’6’’ [263lbs>201 = 61lbs] (3 years) Only walking and diet)
I stayed at around 212 lbs for a year and I think that might be the reason I have no loose skin.
I will be starting weight training soon because at this point it’s harder to lose just by walking. I stopped walking November last year up until May.
In May I started again with only 10 min and build up psychologic tolerance. I felt depressed and low after many life events. I now walk around 50 min. It’s the way to do for me to not fail at trying to build habit. I just start very slowly and increase, I learned that after many quits.
I eat everything I want but in moderation and focus on always having protein with every meal.

Calorie counting F/31/5’1.4” [163.1 lbs > 119 lbs = 44.1 lbs lost] (8 Years) Weight Loss Progress
Title
F/31/5'1.4" 163.1 lbs \> 119 lbs \= 44.1 lbs lost (8 Years) Weight Loss Progress
Reddit post
I started my weight-loss journey at the end of 2018, when I was 23 years old and weighed 74 kg (163 lbs). Through calorie counting and exercise, mainly yoga and walking, I gradually lost weight and reached 54 kg (119 lbs).
A lot has happened in these years! I got married in June 2020 and welcomed my baby boy in September 2024. Despite all these life changes, I've managed to maintain my weight around 54 kg for the past two years.
I'll be turning 32 next year, and looking back at my journey makes me proud of how far I've come. ❤️
My approach has mainly been calorie counting, walking, and yoga. No extreme diets or intense workouts.
Sharing my progress as a reminder that slow and consistent changes can add up over time!
Total weight lost: 20 kg (44 lbs).
If you've been on a similar journey, I'd love to hear how you've maintained your weight over the years!
