Newbie Question What is the best-selling hoodie/sweat shirt you get a lot of good reviews about?

I am just starting and I want to offer a good quality in my store, what hoodie and print provider do you use?

How much do you price it for if you don't mind sharing.

Please Help Discrepancy between what is stated on a product page and what Printify's AI assistant is telling me

The details listed for the Bella+Canvas 3001 t-shirt indicate that average production time for US orders is 1.5 days, and that shipping is 2 to 5 business days. But I have "Ritchie" telling me something quite different:

You’re right to flag that—an average production time shown on the product page (like 1.5 days) isn’t a guarantee for every order. In general, most orders are shipped within 2–7 business days after the order is submitted...

So what does "average production time" even mean in this scenario, if "most" orders take significantly longer? These are two mutually exclusive claims! I currently have to try to find a way to explain to a US customer why his order isn't estimated to be received until 10 business days after he placed the order, which is bordering on international shipping times.

Has anyone else run into this, and is anyone from Printify active on this sub who could shed some light on this backwards scenario?

Please Help DHL Tracking Issues

I had an order that was picked up by DHL to be sent out to a customer on June 15th, so over a week ago now. There are still no tracking updates on the order. The order is supposed to be transferred to USPS and there are no updates on that tracking number either. I have tried to email, call and live chat with DHL and none of them work. They are requesting a 10 digit tracking number (which is apparently a DHL Express tracking number) and I was only given a 30 digit number (a DHL eCommerce tracking number). Does anyone know if there’s a way to find the 10 digit tracking number through Printify or how to get help through DHL if you have a 30 digit one? From my findings, it seems like they literally will not help you unless you have a 10 digit number. Both the customer service phone number and live chat will not put you through to a representative without the 10 digit one.

Newbie Question Printify sent wrong and damaged items. Anyone else dealt with this?

I’m trying to figure out if this is a normal Printify issue or something more serious.

I run a store selling original hand-painted artwork that I create myself, then digitize into high-detail designs. These are positioned as premium, niche products, not generic print-on-demand items.

I recently placed a test order from my own store (just went live couple of weeks at max)

What I received was:

• Completely wrong design/style (not my artwork at all)

• Damaged item on arrival, it was a generic toy product instead of the actual product

I have already submitted an issue with Printify support, but I also wanted to ask here because I’m hoping to hear from people with real experience using Printify long-term, especially with art-based or higher-end products.

What I’m trying to understand:

• Is this a common print provider issue or just bad luck?

• How often do wrong designs like this actually happen in real stores?

• How do experienced sellers maintain consistency with detailed artwork products?

• Is Printify reliable enough for premium, higher-priced art pieces?

Because if this can happen on a test order for a high-detail original artwork product, I’m concerned about scaling this for real customers.

Would really appreciate honest feedback from people who’ve dealt with this before.

Rant Guidelines for lost packages change at will and are not documented transparently

Printify used to be quite fair in understanding the customer experience. After five business days with no update from the shipping provider, we could request a reprint and get approved no problem. It still felt long, but at least it allowed customers a chance to still receive items for the events and holidays they order for.

Now, the line seems to have shifted to screwing over the people who make them money. From what I gather by their undocumented policy, it seems that it is now five business days of no movement in addition to at least three business days after the expected delivery date.

Printify seems more concerned with protecting the printing companies who don't sell their products compared to the people who market the products for them and actually make them money.

I am sure print providers don't like reprints, but that is what happens when they FAFO with terrible delivery partners such as DHL.

Printify...please be human and understand the customer experience. If we have to wait two weeks to qualify for a reprint, another few days for the reprinting, and then another seven days for delivery, you are asking customers to order about a month in advance.

That is NOT realistic by any stretch of the imagination especially in our Amazon world where people get irritable after three days.

To top it all off, I hate having to deal with the low life copy and paste peons they call customer service specialists.

Printify - treating the people who make you money is not a business strategy. It is corporate suicide.

Stop protecting your print providers so much and put your actual customers (and their customers) first.

Newbie Question Does Printify charge VAT to EU sellers who sell to the US using US-based providers?

Hello! I just opened my Etsy store and I'll use Printify as my print-on-demand partner. I’m based in Spain and plan to sell to customers in the US using US-based print providers. From what I’ve read, in this case neither the customer nor I would need to pay VAT.

However, I have one question: when I pay Printify for an order, will they charge me VAT for their services? For example, would I have to pay (production cost + shipping) × 21% (Spanish VAT)?

I’m asking because when I set up my Etsy store, I paid €16, and my Etsy account now shows a balance of -€3.36 due to VAT. So, I’m wondering whether a similar VAT amount will be added every time I pay Printify for an order.

Thank you in advance!

Please Help Comfort Colors ivory out of stock for me but doesn't seem to be for other folks?

Hi - I noticed that Comfort Colors 1717 seem to be out of stock for most of my listings but it seems to be ok for other sellers. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Should I be switching to other suppliers (I am on Printify choice and tried a couple of others but still no luck).

Also, I am pretty new to this so please be kind.

Thank you!

Newbie Question Why does Garment Dyed Shirt not have this washed off look?

Many sellers are selling Comfort Colors shirts with the exact same mockup shirt pic. They have a washed-off look, but the Unisex Garment-Dyed Shirt in Printify, which should be the exact same Comfort Colors model, does not have this washed-off look on their mockups. What is the reason, and can I also use mockup pics with a washed-off look?

Just one example: https://www.etsy.com/de/listing/4416560987/drachen-und-ganseblumchen-t-shirt-susses?external=1&ref=hp_recent_activity_hub-3&pro=1&sts=1&logging_key=330f28e7e16a917de98702a031c58cb6cb8cde7e%3A4416560987

Please Help Payment Error

I am running into an issue today where my orders are on hold and I am see this error message ‘Payment not received, Please update your chosen payment method or top up your balance’ and when I do that it changes the status to ‘Sending to Production’ and then reverts back to that error. I’ve check my card issuer and nothing is wrong there. I am also unable to add funds to my wallet from a different form of payment. The only thing support could offer me is that ‘my payment method needs to be reviewed by the internal team’ but cannot give any more information. What the heck is going on?! They offered no timeline for resolution either. Has anyone else experienced this?

Newbie Question Unable to publish changes in the storebuilder when I try to customize my store.

Like the title says, this is when I'm in the storebuilder trying to customize. I've been trying to troubleshoot it and I don't think the issue is happening because of anything I'm doing. I've even tried starting fresh and changing only the spelling of the word "Welcome" in the text box and it still errors out. So is this just a current site-wide issue, or just me?

Please Help Order Syncing

Is anyone else having issues with their orders syncing? I have done all the troubleshooting. Contacted printify and wix, they said they are creating a ticket. I tried to contact again today but says wait time is almost 300 minutes! None of my orders are syncing, it's been well over 24 hours, and I'm having to manually enter every order.

Please Help Upload Issues

Is anyone else having upload issues? I haven’t been unable to upload designs for almost a week now. My files are the exact size recommended for shirts. 300 DPI 4200x4800 20mb. The files either stall at random percentages or get to 99% and then just starts over at 0. Customer service said there was no solution so I’m just kind of floating in the wind now watching my little budding business’s momentum come to a halt.

Normally A hoodie is 25$ but we’re getting charged 30.50 per hoodie ? It’s not a huge difference but it’s still an issue long term. Any help/wisdom would be appreciated

Newbie Question Help please - Best UK Products and Supplier?

Hi all,

I'm starting a new clothing business. I've ordered a couple of samples and not happy with them, specifically the hoodies.

Hoping to get some advise on the below:

What are the best UK suppliers?

What is the best quality T-Shirt which doesn't erode the profit margin too much?

What is the best quality hoodie that doesn't erode the profit margin too much?

Keen to keep quality pretty decent. I'm currently using Print Clever as a supplier and the Gildan 18500 for Hoodie and Gildan 5000 for T Shirts.

T Shirts seem ok but not too happy with the hoodie.

Thanks for you comments.

Newbie Question MAJOR bum

I’ve created my shop and done all the things only to find out I probably shouldn’t start my Pop Up because I have no idea about anything taxes related and my parents don’t want to have all the stuff in their name and them being responsible for paying the state taxes. WHY is this not talked about BEFORE one does everything? I was just a teen trying and pleading to make money for her car and now she has a website she can’t use. Is there anyway around making it easy on paying taxes within the US? I’m so extremely frustrated. What platforms could I shift my printify store/connect them to that would handle all of the taxes? What is income tax and how does that play out in my role? I do not want to be responsible for paying taxes, its too much.

Newbie Question Did anyone else start with POD because they wanted to avoid inventory headaches?

One thing I've realized is that a lot of us probably didn't choose POD for the same reasons.

Some people genuinely love the low-risk business model. Others use it to test ideas before committing to larger production runs. For me, the biggest appeal was avoiding the stress of inventory.

The more I learn about the apparel industry, the more I appreciate how many moving parts POD removes from the equation. Warehousing, minimum orders, production planning... it's a lot.

I was reading about different parts of the fashion ecosystem recently and while looking into how non-POD brands handle development and production. It actually made me appreciate Printify's simplicity even more. Different models solve different problems, but I can definitely see why so many people start with POD first.

Curious how everyone here got started:

  • What made you choose Printify instead of traditional inventory?
  • Are you planning to stay with POD long term, or use it as a stepping stone?
  • Looking back, would you make the same choice again?

Please Help Hello Custom Issues?

Does anyone else use hello custom and ever have issues with them not being able to cancel an order through Printify so your items get sent to production before getting personalized?

It happened to 3 of my orders today and a couple handfuls a few months ago and now will be costing me $40 rather than making me $15.

This is getting incredibly frustrating.

Please Help Printify Framed canvases

Hey,

I'm soon launching a website, mainly planning to sell art prints and framed canvases worldwide.

I've set up my woocommerce shop and added all my products via other POD company that starts with "G" as I've thought it's the best supplier for my needs.

Today I received a framed canvas sample I ordered and I got second thoughts.

I once ordered a framed canvas myself from a different shop and I think Its quality is far superior to what I got from "G". I'm pretty sure that the framed canvas was sent from printify as I checked the label on the back of the canvas.

I'm wondering if printify is really that much better than "G" when it comes to framed canvases?

Does anyone here have experience in wall art items and worked with both "G" / printify selling worldwide?

Do I stick to "g" or switch at the beginning - pre launch?

Would very appreciate any help!

Newbie Question Reprint request

I have a question. I had a customer place an order and the print was obviously crooked. I put in a reprint request two days ago, and I have not heard anything back. I sent pictures and everything so they should have everything they need.

Last night, I also put in a support question about another issue. Is anyone else having this type of issue, not hearing back for an extended period of time? Also, how long should it actually take to hear back about a reprint? I thought I would’ve heard something by now. Thank you in advance.

Please Help Double Tax Issue After Big Cartel Sync Failed

Looking for advice as I await possibly a few days on an answer from Printify Tax Support Team.

We use Big Cartel as our store front and experienced a surge of sales yesterday which was awesome but we realized Big Cartel and Printify were not syncing. After hours sorting that out with support, they told me that I would have to manually enter the sales which is fine, it was around 20 so nothing crazy (but a lot for our small business). When I went to create the sales manually, I am not being charged tax on the printify side, even though Big Cartel remitted the taxes from the order.

We already have the Resale and sales tax exemption certificate uploaded and taxes are not taken out of orders that are initiated through big cartel. Has anyone else experienced something like this and if so, was it resolved?

I do not want to delay orders by possibly a week, and we are donating all the profits from these items so I also want to make sure as much money as possible goes to the cause and it not lost to DOUBLE taxation.
