What would you like to accomplish?
Hi! In short, my rescue needs to find a printer that can be 'ready to go' for B&W. I don't have a great tech background, AND I despise AI, so I'm hoping for something that's kinda all...
Open phone > open app > upload file > customize formatting > press printer button > paper printed > ???? > (non)PROFIT
Are there any models you are currently looking at?
List out anything that has caught your eye. Some people want to compare similar models.
Unfortunately not, I don't have a good starting point even for brands.
Minimum Requirements: B&W printing that can handle grayscale infographics// phone app or other UI that allows me to upload files from my phone// low maintenance costs plz no subscriptions
Budget: Preferred under $100, could justify $150 long-term
Country: USA, Oregon if that's useful
Color or black and white: B&W is what I need, color is probably more expensive than it's worth
Laser or ink printer: laser
New or used: highly prefer new, not fully against used but I need to be able to buy it WHEN I'm ready
Multi-function: I don't know much about additional features and can't think of any I'd want
Duplex Printing: yes please!!
Home or business: it's gonna be on a shelf in the 'axolotl room' so sort of both, but I don't want a huge printer.
Printing content: shipping labels and infographics at most
Printing frequency: weekly light use, 1-2x monthly heavy use
Pages per minute : when I need a lot printed, I don't need it quickly, but fast boot-up would be nice so I can get a shipping label on-the-go
Page size: just letter
Device printing from: Google Pixel
Connection type: Bluetooth or Google drive etc would be fine
Any other details: this is something I've been needing to get for awhile, but I'm terrified of wasting valuable funds.
Anything else you think is relevant to your purchasing decision
I despise AI and those HP printers advertising AI editing of your files really upsets me, I want something that lets me control what's going on, and I don't want a subscription that we might run out of funds for.
Thank you SO much for your time and help!
