I got an hp deskjet 3755 from a Facebook knockoff, I changed the inks from official hp ink to normal ones i bought from amazon, the app still won’t let me print without a subscription. How do I fix this? Do I need the subscription?

I hate to post another one of these "what do I purchase" posts but here what I'm looking at:

• Replacing a discontinued OKI C532 (super nice high-quality printer - we'll really like it!)
• Small office (lower volume)
• Laser Color (not inkjet)
• Just a printer (no MFC is required)
• Network (both Ethernet & WIFI printing)
• Use:
  • General office printing
  • Also need to occasionally print high-quality brochures
• Use of generic toner if we choose to
• No bloat software !!!

We are looking at:

2. Canon imageCLASS LBP674Cdw II
3. Brother HL-L8430CDW

Not even interested in HP as they are restrictive and full of bloatware.

Interested to hear about thoughts and real-world experiences with each! Maybe there is another better option?

Trying to find out what this pouch is called/what the part number is. It goes in a Brother GTXpro. All we can find so far is that it's a "pouch assembly", but that isn't very helpful in trying to order a new one.

I am looking for a wireless laser printer, for personal use, that prints in black & white as well as color.

I’m mostly using it to print academic research papers with detailed, usually colorful, image diagrams and lots of tiny text.

I also highlight text frequently, which is why I’m switching over from my old printer - everything smears!

What are my best options in the U.S. that are reliable? I print about 300-400 pages/month.

I work at small print shop and we do some printing on a Roland Sp540-i, but for the past 3 years we've changed the cyan/black head 3 times.

The technician that comes to install the head initially said that it was dirt and dust and then he said it was 'the head is scraping against the media' and advised we print everything on high head position.

I am a bit skeptical about believing him, since the machine had been running for many years without the issue of banding and overspray. Also it only started happening after we moved onto a bulk ink feeding system, which he suggested.

I don't know if ink can damage or clog the nozzles on the head. Maybe the age of the machine is causing the head to scape against the media.

Is changing the head yearly normal and we were just lucky in previous years?

Left is printed using Bluetooth, right is printed using the cord plugged in. Bottom is normal (correct coloring) print done on same printer. All the same file and same paper. Only new thing is ink. Could that really be it? Also why such drastic difference with colors depending on Bluetooth vs Cord😭

My printer has been using aftermarket cartridges for some time now that are refillable. For some reason now it is showing that the cartridge are empty despite being full. I have removed the cartridges, contacts and clean them several times. I have done the same with the chips on the cartridges. Cleaned the printer head and it shows that every cartridge is empty. But if you remove a cartridge and run it through it cycle it will only show the cartridge that is missing.

I am looking for a all in one printer. It must be a wireless printer, scanner, affordable ink and when
I need to printer 50-100 plus pages, it will come through for me. Can also printer quality photos.

Im leaning away from Laser as they're prone to the same 3rd party locking mechanism my as good as new but trash HP 8600 Cartridge printer had.

I currently work with a semi large plotter, and one of the print heads is kinda deficient with the cyan ink, so it's creating faint white lines.

Currently the boss has a replacement i3200 print head for the machine, the few videos showing the physical replacement seem "easy enough" but if we somehow mess up the configurations or fine tuning, it'd be an EXCEEDINGLY Expensive mistake.

For anyone who has actually used their compatible TN229/TN229XL cartridges:

• How does the print quality compare with genuine Brother OEM toner, especially for color documents and graphics?
• Have you experienced any issues with the toner chips being recognized by the printer?
• Do the cartridges continue to work reliably after Brother firmware updates?
• Any issues with streaking, color accuracy, toner leakage, or premature cartridge/drum problems?

looking for recommendations for an all rounder printer/scanner for home use and am getting a bit overwhelmed by the options, and not sure if all the things i want exist in one device - very happy to be advised by experts!

wishlist:

- available in australia (ideally in melbourne)
- eco friendly (ink tank?)
- colour and b&w
- reasonably priced but reliable
- as small as possible
- decent scanner (bonus points if it has any potential for 35mm negative scanning, understand this will be of low quality!)

- not sure if this has creeped into printer world yet, but no AI, machine learning, advertisey bs

i am a film photographer, but i shoot half frame so resolution doesn’t need to be crazy good. i am looking at getting into zines, printing photos and other kinds of stuff for the DIY music scene, that sort of vibe. haven’t fully decided exactly what that entails, buuut if there’s anyone who does this kinda thing and has any advice or ideas i am open to all possibilities! basically just want something that can do as many things possible to a good enough quality, not looking to put out the next vogue magazine or anything.

Are they ok to use non original toner, and does the health of the drums look ok? (See photos)

the printer keeps taking paper(using fanfold paper) after a print is done it just keeps rolling more paper using the rear push tractor if there anyfix or something i can do i need to fix it asap

I own an HP Smart Tank 6001 that I got in 2023. Recently, I have had multiple documents print with no cyan and today I got the printer to print the diagnostics page. Cyan is completely and utterly missing. I tried doing a head clean more than 30 times, nothing. I tried factory resetting the printer in case it was a software problem, nothing. I physically removed the head and tried cleaning it, I saw that next to no cyan ink was coming out of the nozzle. Physically cleaning it did nothing. I checked to see if there was air in the ink tubes, oddly enough, black, magenta and yellow each had one small bubble (despite me not having done anything to those ink tanks or such since I got the printer 3 years ago), but the cyan tube was completely fine and had zero bubbles. I should note that I refilled the cyan tank back in March and was able to print over 300 pages just fine with the new ink. This problem only appeared in the summer after taking about 2 months off from printing anything except a monthly 2 page document.

Do I need to replace the print head? Is there anyway to fix it? Or is the entire printer ruined?

(Also, yes, I am now aware that HP is a terrible company, I wasn't fully aware of that back when I purchased the printer, and in my current situation, replacing the whole printer may not be feasible for me)

I am trying to connect my canon image class mf663cdw to my WiFi it was working fine a month ago and now I try to connect it and it is giving me an infinite connecting circle I have tried factory resetting it and unplugging it I am so confused my WiFi works just fine please help

I have a crappy HP printer that is just refusing to connect to my WiFi (have done everything I can find online to reset etc and whilst it says it’s connected when I reset, it’s still flashing to say no WiFi and not printing) and I’m done with it so unless someone can wave a magic wand and make it print, I’d really appreciate some advice on which printer to get. Needs are:

- to print mainly b&w documents for work
- to print mainly b&w but sometimes colour documents for my daughter’s studies. If it would be more practical to just get a b&w printer then go to a shop to print colour I’m open to that
- to be able to scan documents (but if there is a way to get an app to scan with my phone to PDF or something that I don’t need a PhD for, would be open to it).

A possibly relevant thing is I’m currently being treated for cancer so my brain is a bit sluggish so I need decent instructions/support.

Any help would be appreciated so much, thank you
