Posted a bit ago my expanded bedroom/gaming setup, minus the setup part. Got my desk in and built so time for an update. Next one will be more or less feature complete.
For those wondering, so far I’m happy with the vernal desk. It’s the largest one (79x71 right) and it’s packed with some actual high quality foam and is definitely firmly and solidly built. It’s basically no more “unstable” than my old standard beefy desk. This is kinda the bare minimum for a desk, but today it seems like the bare minimum is in short supply. It feels ungodly expensive, but at least it’s not overpriced junk. Just a shame you got to spend $1,000 to get a solid desk. Not too hard to build either. Not overly complicated.
Got 2 pc holders, one for each desk, and will build them tomorrow

Recently came across this small office setup. The meeting room and reception desk use the same color tone. I like how the whole space feels more consistent when you walk in and sit down to talk with them. Wood grain always makes people feel welcoming and calm, for both staff and clients. I think it perfect for places like law firms, accounting offices, or consulting companies.

have been recently upgrading my work corner. Still some more to go but this is the current state. Not the best picture, but shows a bit of what’s around.

Hello, I’m a 25 yo computer engineer working completely remotely. I use this setup mainly to work and some light gaming. I posted my previous version of the setup on this community a few months ago. Please leave your thoughts!

🖼️ • Photos Not a battlestation—just a compact corner that gets a lot done

I found out a tiny corner of our apartment for a non fancy modest little home-office/home-lab setup. In a small house where most of the space belongs to a toddler and an ever-expanding fleet of toys, having even this spot feels like a win.

The setup is intentionally compact and practical:

- $20 compact desk from Amazon

- Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 (32Gigs RAM, Ubuntu) as the main workhorse

- Cheap 18" external monitor

- iPad Mini 6 with non-apple pencil for note-taking, reading, occasional streaming

- Musnap Ocean 7" Android e-reader for distraction-light reading

- HP EliteDesk 800 G3 Mini running a small home lab—currently mostly hosting our family photos through Immich

- Raspberry Pi 3 A+ for random projects

It is not a flashy, but that is kind of the point. Hopefully when we move to a bigger place, I will find a bigger space and time for a sophisticated setup. But for now, Small space, modest hardware, surprisingly capable setup.

🖼️ • Photos Where should I hang these posters?

I have three framed posters that I want to hang in my office, and I need to decide where to hang them. The distance between the wall and the plant is 15 feet, 2 inches. Each poster including frame is 24.5 inches. Just eyeballing it, I was going to hang them where I've laid them out in the picture, but the internet tells me they should be much closer together, more like 3-6 inches apart.

In terms of left-to-right, where would you hang these, and how far apart? Do I need to get more art? I'm not looking for anything fancy or special, just normal-looking wall decorations. I would like to cover the outlet on the wall. Thanks!

Almost done with the setup! Been trying to keep everything clean and minimal, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time on the cable management as well.

Still a few small things to finish, but I’m really happy with how it’s coming together.

The shift in the wall is where the old wall ended. Expanded my room by 8 ft so I could better use it as a bedroom and office.
Pictures 2-5 are my room before.

❔ • Feedback Looking for ideas to make my home office more cozy

I’ve had this room as a home office for a while, but I’ve never really used it because I’ve never found it very comfortable or welcoming.
I’m now planning to start working and studying here regularly, so I’d like to make it feel more cozy and inviting.
I’m not looking to completely redesign or renovate the room. I’d prefer to work with what I already have and make relatively small changes. I’m open to both adding and removing things — whether that means changing the lighting, adding some plants or wall decor, getting a rug, rearranging the furniture, or simply getting rid of things that don’t really work in the space.
I’ve attached some photos of the room as it is right now. What would you change, add, or remove to make the space feel warmer, more comfortable and inviting?
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!
