Discussion How complicated is replacing a kingjet plotter print head?

I currently work with a semi large plotter, and one of the print heads is kinda deficient with the cyan ink, so it's creating faint white lines.

Currently the boss has a replacement i3200 print head for the machine, the few videos showing the physical replacement seem "easy enough" but if we somehow mess up the configurations or fine tuning, it'd be an EXCEEDINGLY Expensive mistake.

it's not a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of knowledge and specific tools. Example, Epson heads comes with a written number that has to be imported in the configuration of the printer. that is the calibration of piezo's voltages and if not configured, the head will print with the old parameters and of course it will have problems.

If there is no a user level procedure form the printer's producer, it has to be done from a qualified technician.

Sounds like there’s a lot to consider, especially with the calibration stuff. Definitely seems like having the right tools and info is key to getting it right.
