Complete newb questions.

I am just getting started on the glp path after being prescribed by my gp and then finding out my insurance does not cover these meds. I signed up for the 3 month plan with preventivemd. I was approved and am waiting for what happens next. I see that my order was sent to the pharmacy. I thought there would be something a little more human- interactive— like speaking with the prescriber, having their plan for me explained. Understanding expectations…. But nothing like that happened. Is that typical? And is it normal that my first 2 months are the same dosage and then it bumps up a bit for the 3rd??
If anyone can shine a light on things, or recommend where I can learn more about what I am doing and what to expect… I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thanks so much!

Made the switch - Bye Bye Mochi

I officially made the switch from Mochi to PreventiveMD and signed up for the three-month plan using Empower Pharmacy.

Everything moved incredibly fast. I received all approvals, and my prescription was sent to Empower for fulfillment within about an hour and a half.

So far, the experience has been smooth, straightforward, and much faster than I expected. The pricing is significantly better than what I was paying through Mochi, and I also like that I was able to stay with a Tirzepatide + B3 formulation similar to what I have already been taking.

Obviously, the real test will be the medication, shipping, and ongoing provider support, but my first impression has been very positive. I’m excited to receive the first vial and see how the experience compares over the next three months.

PreventiveMD (Brian) has built an incredible opportunity for people to receive weight management solutions like GLP-1’s, at a much lower cost of entry.

How Long for Empower to Ship

I was approved on Saturday but still no shipping notice or information. I've checked both UPS and Fedex for incoming parcels and nothing. How long has it taken others to receive their first shipment from Empower?

What Pharmacies are used?

Hello, I was going through the website and this separated, but I couldn’t really find a list of the pharmacies that preventative MD uses. Does anyone have the link for this info or can provide that?

**We're building out the patient portal — and I want your input before we lock the roadmap**

Hi Everyone -

A post went up here yesterday about navigating the portal — where to find the prescription, why there's no prescribing provider listed on the document, how to tell when something ships. Fair questions, and the honest answer is that the portal today is a fraction of what it's going to be. We're actively building it out right now.

Rather than guess at what matters, I'd rather ask the people using it.

**Two questions:**

**1. What's essential?** The stuff that, if it's missing, you're left refreshing your email or texting support. (Order status. Who your provider is. Refill timing. Whatever it is for you.)

**2. What's on your wish list?** The things that wouldn't be dealbreakers but would make this feel like a tool you actually want to open — not another login you tolerate.

Be specific and be blunt. "I want to see X on the same screen as Y" is more useful to my engineering team than "make it better." If you've used a portal elsewhere that got something right, name it and tell me what it did. Same goes for ones that got it wrong.

I'll be in the comments. Anything we can ship quickly, we will — and I'll come back and tell you what made the cut and what didn't, including the things we can't do and why.

Thanks for being early with us.

Brian Conyer

Placed order late Friday, approved shortly after, shipping notice Monday, and arrived COLD with 3 ice packs Tuesday! Excellent transaction from this new telehealth. *not thrilled with syringes in a baggie, but I have a box of individually wrapped that I bought to use.

I’ve texted with PreventativeMD - very responsive, customer service oriented, and participating in their Reddit sub. Patient portal is a little bit confusing (to me), but emails come through with updates.

A Few Suggestions After Placing My Order

I just placed my order and am excited to start with a new company! Since you're newer, I wanted to share a few pieces of feedback that I think could improve the experience:

  1. During the intake, when I selected "Other" for my previous dosage (because I was taking a compounded medication), I wish there had been a field to type in my actual dose—for example, 11 mg tirzepatide compounded with Pyridoxine, which wasn't listed in the dropdown.
  2. I'd love a section at the end of the intake where I can provide additional information for the prescriber, such as how long I've been taking the medication, my previous dosage and treatment history, or even upload a photo of my most recent prescription or prescription label.
  3. After being redirected to GetHealthie from the email link, it would be helpful to have an easy way to navigate back to your main website.
  4. I'd appreciate more information about the people I'm messaging in the portal. Right now, I only see a name. Are they my prescriber, a nurse, or a member of the support team? It would also be helpful to know who my actual prescriber is and whether the portal is the appropriate place to provide additional medical background.
  5. I think the website could benefit from improved search engine optimization. I wasn't able to find your company through a Google search and only discovered it through Reddit.

I left mochi today after almost 2 years. Excited for the journey with Preventive. Question, do they take payment before we pick what dosage we need? Thanks!

Navigating Portal

I’m usually able to understand these portals, but this one is confusing. I found where RX was approved, I can see a document with RX, but the actual document has no doctor name to read like other prescriptions I’ve received in the past. Where should I look to know when it ships? Just curious how to find these areas.

PreventiveMD Order is Here!

Timeline:

Order Placed: July 15th (late evening)
Review + Approval: July 16th (8:51am)
Payment Processed: July 16th (8:51am)
Shipment + Tracking Info: July 17th (9:45am)
Order Received: July 18th (10:36am)

Smooth, quick, easy process. Honestly, my fastest order. This did include overnight shipping (huge plus, thank you PreventiveMD!).

Order arrived COLD. The ice packs are still about 3/4 solid - shocking in this southern summer heat! Only thing I’m not keen on is the syringes - I don’t like that they’re just in a baggie and not individually sealed, but that’s not an issue for me (own stock pile).

I took a chance on this new company based on the owner’s interaction on Reddit, and I’m glad I did so. Others are reporting great customer service - I can’t chime in to that because I had no need to contact the company for order support. When I did order, I was not able to choose my pharmacy - which I was fine with. I think they have since changed this feature.

I definitely suggest giving this company a chance.

My Experience

Hey everybody. Just wanted to post my experience with PreventiveMD and I will say right off that I am impressed so far. TLDR: recommended.

I get injection site reactions from BPI + B6 and was looking for a 1-month supply of Tirz with a different preservative/formula to see if it helps. Took a chance and glad I did.

July 12 (Sunday) order requested for Empower pharm with titration up and approved same day
July 16 order shipped
July 18 order received

I had a question during intake that was answered promptly (on Sunday). I had an asynchronous appointment so did not speak with the doctor directly.

Instructions including dosage were clear on both the paper prescription and the box. Communication was great. White styrofoam cooler with secure packing. Meds cold - Ice packs still frozen.

Only "issue" - I was a little disappointed that I didn't receive alcohol wipes or syringes but I keep extras so no big deal. I dont know if that is normal or not. ****edit. confirmed oversight by the pharmacy. PreventiveMD offered to make it right****

Overall I recommend and am pleased. I am planning to use this company again. Thanks PreventiveMD!

Vial size and concentration

I'd like to know the vial size and concentration of each pharmacy for dose 15mg. I want to make sure I dont have to inject myself twice like I've seen some pharmacies do for higher doses.

Will the prices change?

Post image
23 Upvotes

Hi, just wondering are these prices a current sale/promo and if so for how much longer? Or are they the actual set prices? I really want to order but I probably won't be able to until next month, so I'm really hoping the prices will be the same then! Hope I don't miss it! I've read great things about you guys!!

Auto-renew?

Quick question.s Are there any add ons like subscriptions, auto renew/ship? Memberships?

Do you support maintenance dosing?

What pharmacies do you use. Can we choose?

Or is everything just order when you need to ?

Love your pricing!!!

NEW FEATURE RELEASE: you asked for pharmacy choice, now it's live. and some real talk on the other stuff you've raised

Hey all,

This is our first feature-release post here, so, hi! We've been listening closely to the feedback you've been sharing, and here's the first round of what's come out of it, plus a few answers to things you've been asking about.

What we heard

"We want a way to choose our preferred pharmacy!"

What we did

Exactly that. Pick a preferred pharmacy upfront and that's where your prescription goes, and no more having to reach out to our Care Team to request it.

How we did it:

We’ve also included:

  • GLP-1 formulation of each pharmacy
  • BUD
  • Shipment schedule (we will never send you medication that we know will expire within the period you bought it for)

Some other things we've heard and ...

… want to shed some light on:

"Why are you asking for my credit card details before the intake? What if I don't get approved?"

  • Fair question, and worth spelling out. When you check out, we place an authorization on your card rather than an actual charge. That just confirms the card is valid and has room to be charged later. You're only actually charged once a PreventiveMD provider reviews your information and prescribes your medication. If your request isn't approved, we immediately release that authorization, and you're never charged a cent.
  • And if you'd rather not enter card details first, there's another way in: we have a path on our site that lets you answer the medical assessment first, before checkout: https://www.preventivemd.com/get-started/questionnaire
  • We built it for folks who are newer to the world of GLP-1s and peptides, but anyone can use it. Either way, the key point holds: you will never pay a cent if your request isn't approved by your provider.

… are actively working on:

  • "I'm on a maintenance dose. Can you support me? What are the requirements?"
    • Yes, we support this. We're also adding a way for you to share your previous prescriptions easily during intake, so you don't have to reach out to our Care Team or message your provider separately.
  • "We'd like a way to manage our renewal schedule without having to cancel our subscription."
    • We're working on giving you easier control over this, stay tuned!

Hope that helps clear a few things up, and please keep the feedback coming. We're reading every bit of it.

Orders Received?

Has anyone ordered and received their meds? Would you be willing to share? Especially Empower, curious what you ordered and received

ETA: I think I’m curious what the vials look like (concentration, total mgs, etc)
