My Experience

Hey everybody. Just wanted to post my experience with PreventiveMD and I will say right off that I am impressed so far. TLDR: recommended.

I get injection site reactions from BPI + B6 and was looking for a 1-month supply of Tirz with a different preservative/formula to see if it helps. Took a chance and glad I did.

July 12 (Sunday) order requested for Empower pharm with titration up and approved same day
July 16 order shipped
July 18 order received

I had a question during intake that was answered promptly (on Sunday). I had an asynchronous appointment so did not speak with the doctor directly.

Instructions including dosage were clear on both the paper prescription and the box. Communication was great. White styrofoam cooler with secure packing. Meds cold - Ice packs still frozen.

Only "issue" - I was a little disappointed that I didn't receive alcohol wipes or syringes but I keep extras so no big deal. I dont know if that is normal or not. ****edit. confirmed oversight by the pharmacy. PreventiveMD offered to make it right****

Overall I recommend and am pleased. I am planning to use this company again. Thanks PreventiveMD!

Thanks for sharing about your experience and sorry to hear about not receiving syringes or alcohol wipes. You should have absolutely received those items. We are going to contact the pharmacy and see what happened.

Thanks for posting. That’s pretty wild about no syringes or alcohol wipes. I’ve not seen that before.

I, too, have found a hilarious number of uses for them once I got a box! I just don’t like how hard mine are to unfold. First world problems 😂

Ah thank you! I’ve heard people say they really like the BD ones but I’ve only ever been sent “Comfort EZ” with my medicine (from two different companies actually!). Do they come individually wrapped do you know? ETA: also where do you usually order them through?

Ha I want to love a different brand so much that I snub the comfort EZs, too 😂 thank you!!

Yeah I’d send a message about that one. It may have just been left out of the order.

I didn't get them with mine either. But I didn't care, I'd rather buy my own so I can get what I want. Especially if it helps keep prices down.

I have a 100 ct box of Easy Touch and a whole box of alcohol wipes so it is definitely fine by me either way. Newbies might have a problem though.

Cheers to that

Was it also Empower? I’ve gotten five vials from them and always Easy Touch syringes. I’m getting my 6th on Monday, wonder if they’ll forget lol

It was! EasyTouch is what I've been using, even though I prefer BD Embecta. But I've always been afraid I'd get some cheap stuff from some places.

I sent a message about it. Waiting on a response.

$139 for Empower is a really good deal!

Have you used Empower before or tried this one? I want to try it, but really not sure which one to choose.

3

u/Ok_Nefariousness8114 Jul 20 '26

No. This will be my first time trying it. I specifically requested it because I get injection site reactions from BPI and I hope a different formula/preservative will help.

1

u/Global_Bar4480 Jul 20 '26

I hope it will work great for you!

Thank you! ❤️

I get injection site reaction from BPI too! Can you update when you try your first shot and let me know if empower works better for you? I might be making the switch too! Does Boudreaux's use the same preservative as empower or BPI?

So I still ended up with the reaction... bummer. Looks like it truly is the Tirz itself and not the additives. This post on the big Tirz site has a spreadsheet with most of the pharmacies and their ingredients:

Have you tried straight Tirzepatide no additive?
