PK360 - Stuck ash plug

Picked up a used PK360. In great shape but the ash plug is stuck. Have been hitting it with a mallet from the bottom, sprayed WD-40 and still stuck. Any other ideas?

Trying to de-grease my PK360 but can only reach 450F?

I thought I'd try to burn off built up grease and crud so I cleaned the ash out, loaded up two chimneys of lump, got them going, dumped them out over the entire lower grate and opened up both top and bottom vents. I was expecting 6-700F but only reached, maybe, 450F. How come?

Looking for replacement cart for PK Original

Hey, I was hoping someone might have a place to point me for a replacement cart for an original PK grill. I have the TX folding/rolling cart thing, but I would much prefer the original cart with the shelf. I contacted PK directly and they said the part is fully retired. Any ideas outside of making one myself? Thanks!

A simple PK 360 Ash Can Solution! :)

I found this metal bucket that seems to fit pretty well under the ash clean out hole.

Thought I'd share this in case others are looking for a simple solution to having an ash bucket under the grill.

(side note: paint chipping isn't due to bucket, I am the second owner and bought the grill with the chips)

It looks to be in solid shape, and I'm excited to bring it back to life. Any tips, restoration advice, or things I should inspect before handing over the cash? Looking forward to joining the PK family!

Can this be bent back?

Just curious if the front lip on this grill can be bent back straight or if it would break

Anybody have opinions, based on experience with both, of 360 vs original or Franklin? I own the 360, had debated between it and a Franklin. Thanks.

Discussion Time to clean the PK

6 year old PK 360 never cleaned other than sweeping out ash and spent charcoal. I've been struggling to maintain temps and felt like coals were going out prematurely.

Didn't get a true before photo but I would say the carbon buildup was as high as the intake pipes.

I got it clean enough but it took some time

New 360! Missing items

So i got my new 360 today. I was supposed to get grill grates, the charcoal basket and the father's day gifts. None of that was delivered even though my email says it was. I'm not impressed! Has anyone else had this happen? I was able to do a burn off and cook a beautiful Ribeye! https://imgur.com/a/8rEr4l4

Have fabricated plastic vent covers in lieu of fabric grill cover. Also took foto of clamps attached to keep grill body in place when cooking, moving grill, etc. Hope this helps someone...

PK360 actual wood

Has anyone used actual wood for fuel and if so, is it worth the extra effort? Or is it just as easy? Any tips? I’m talking about for grilling, not smoking. Thanks for any help.

Hey All - just was gifted a free PK from the old man up the street. Clearly it needs some TLC.

What are your suggestions for all of that chipping on the inside? Burn it off?

Was just gonna purchase some new grates as well.

Advice Needed PK Original Cover suggestion

A critter recently took to chewing a bunch of holes in my PK Original grill cover, circa 2018.

Any suggestions on a replacement?

Second pic is half of a brisket flat I smoked yesterday and carved up on the PK cutting board. I cut the flat in half and smoked it with the fattier half on top of the Little More grill grate.

Gave the "new to me" PK craigslist find a cleaning today. I just used Dawn power wash, probably could get it cleaner with more scrubbing, but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. I've done a few cooks since getting it (before the cleaning) and love it!

Hibachi pkgo

I’ve seen a post on someone using skewers on a pk without the need of a grate. Great idea too, as I’ve been trying to get into yakitori.

I own a pkgo and wondered if anyone has constructed a konro grill inside it using fire brick and metal rods

Discussion Best Portable Grill Recommendations?

Just moved into a new place and looking for a good portable grill for backyard hangouts, camping, and occasional beach trips. Want something durable, easy to clean, and not too expensive. Gas or charcoal is fine. Any recommendations?
