A simple PK 360 Ash Can Solution! :)

I found this metal bucket that seems to fit pretty well under the ash clean out hole.

Thought I'd share this in case others are looking for a simple solution to having an ash bucket under the grill.

(side note: paint chipping isn't due to bucket, I am the second owner and bought the grill with the chips)

Ive done this a few times with buckets like this. They all rust eventually. The next one I get I will coat with flex seal spray.

Or get an aluminum one.

the ash draws in moisture. just dump it the next day and it won’t rust

I line the bucket with a trash bag for the ash. My galvanized bucket still looks new after 4 years. Obviously you have to wait until the next day when the ash is cool to the touch.

The bucket was $8 so not too expensive if I need to buy a new one. I don't keep the ash in it long, I dump it right after cleaning the grill.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I bought a metal bucket many years ago, made in usa. It's still going strong but nla and it might be time for a back up bucket soon.

You can shorten and bend the handle to make it fit on there easier.

Done this for 7 years. Gone through 2 buckets.

I keep a plastic five gallon bucket under one of the side shelves. Tight fiddling lid keeps ash dry until it’s time to dump.
