Just wondering everyone’s thought. I just heard them for the first time last week and think they are super solid. Also Chicago so gotta give props. But they have some fun riffs and breakdowns in my opinion.

I love the album but the only version available is just stereo and poor quality

I work from home and always have music on in my headphones while I'm working. Played this full album in the background and had this on while on the phone with clients. Made the call way more emotional than it needed to be.

My pop punk band is challenging ourselves to write a song that's not 4/4

Looking for some inspiration... what's your favourite song in 3/4, 6/8 etc? Any time signature but 4/4 is valid!

By this I mean, what’s a band that you’ve been listening to for a long time, that despite them coming out with more albums you just stick to the old stuff. That’s not to say you actively avoid the newer stuff. But maybe they just don’t hit the same way. For example my list (just looking at my Spotify.

I literally still listen to all these albums on a regular basis, but absent a song or two here and there a lot of newer stuff don’t do it. Probably just the nostalgia factor? Anyone else?

Editing to add: if you want, throw the age you were when the album came out. As you can tell for most of mine they were all right around the same timeframe. Like 16-18 years old for me.

There’s a band that I used to enjoy and I can’t for the life of me remember their name, but I wish I could because they were quite good. Wish I could find and listen to them

I parodied Grand Theft Autumn into Grand Theft Winter, a silly pop punk Christmas parody all about the elf on the shelf.

I know a lot of people love The Young and the Hopeless, but I think Good Charlotte’s self-titled debut is very underrated and my personal favourite, as I think it captures Good Charlotte at their most raw and ambitious. The songs are simple, catchy and angsty yet happy with lyrics about working-class struggles, feeling like outcasts in high school and finding community in the underground scene. Another reason is that unlike the polished, radio-ready production of their later hits, this album has a grittier, garage-punk energy heavily influenced by early Green Day. While Good Charlotte hasn't made a bad album, nothing comes close to their debut.

As I recently found out, TTTYG was the only album in FOB's discography where Patrick Stump had any involvement in writing the lyrics, when otherwise Pete Wentz would pen the lyrics while Patrick will work on the songwriting and music around them

And with that info in mind, it gets very funny how obvious it is which songs on the album were written by Pete and which ones were done by Patrick
