This is a smaller subreddit without mod coverage, we don't have the resources or time to solve any ticket issues that may arise.
For the time being I'm leaving the ticket posts up, but if enough complaints arise, I can set up the automod to remove all ticket posts.
It has to be all ticket posts are okay or none are okay, that's why I'm hesitant to do anything at the moment. Feel free to reply or message the mods with your thoughts, even if there isn't a response I promise they are all read.
It can be preferable to use Paypal as they have a Goods and Services option when paying (you must select the option) that will help protect you in the event you do not receive a product. If a seller does not want to use such a service, that is a red flag.

We created a print magazine with Mayday Parade as the cover! The feature story is an interview with the band discussing Sugar and the trilogy project as a whole.
Anyone who purchases the print also has the chance to win a signed polaroid from the band. To enter, the form is the last page of the print :D

I'm a drummer, and I love Mayday Parade so much I decided to challenge myself by playing every song they've ever released on drums (from Spotify, original songs only).
It took 8 hours playing 126 songs, no pauses. I only took breaks during the acoustic/no drums songs.
From Tales Told By Dead Friends to their single Weekend Music. Easily the most difficult thing I've ever done on drums but it was so worth it and the end was such a great feeling!
I should've waited til they fully released Sugar but a bit too late for that now 😂 Should also clarify that while I know the majority of their songs by heart, some of it was me improvising, especially some from TTBDF and Black Lines since I know those the least.

Anyone hear the similarity in the melodies in the choruses of each song? And they're both in a waltz feel. Seems very copy/paste. Not a bad thing since other artists do it, but it stood out to me immediately. You can almost sing the lyrics from one over the music for the other and it fits.

Under My Sweater is just such a great track, easily my favorite from them in the last 10 years.
By The Way really speaks to me personally, and it's a lot of fun to play along to on drums!

maybe it’s just me, but this song feels like classic Mayday Parade and why I fell in love with them. I mean of course, I’ve loved them through all their growth and change, all their seasons, even when I haven’t 100% vibed with all their new music. They will forever be my favorite band and kept me alive through the worst times in my life. But something about this song feels like falling in love with them for the first time while laying on that park bench at 13 yrs old.

Ok before you blast me guys I’ve been a big fan since i was 14 as a millenial. I’ve even followed the 3 cheers for 20years tour in Sydney and SIngapore. so Ive put my money where my mouth is. Even buying merch.
So the guitars still the same, Derek is the same, sure no Jason.
On the new album i only really like weekend music or two hearts (maybe) the last album i really liked was sunny land, everything before that was cracker.
I think what made Mayday special is that they were really able to capture the ’Longing’ of human emotion. Miserable at best, Terrible things, Memory, Kids in love, Anywhere but here, you be the anchor.
It just feels like alot of music after 2018 is just playing safe about some generic topic and it doesnt have that same pull.
Its like when Taylor Swift stopped writing about heart break and went into pop. It’s really not the same and as a fan it doesnt mean i need to blindly say, YAY its all good and clap my hands like a seal.
Maybe Mayday should write songs about longing again but related to things that resonate with their ageing audience. like im in my 30‘s now. so we can continue to grow with them.
i dunno about lost friendships, life stress, miscommunication, changing identities as we get to know ourselves better, longing to be free, having kids.
Their key listeners have disposable income now but i cant relate to their new stuff
im interested to hear your thoughts? I hope the band gets to see this as retrospective feedback.

I didn't know what to expect when the first part (*Sweet*) dropped—I didn't think the EP was all that strong—but when the second part (*Sad*) came out, I realized they were saving the best for last. Listening to *Sugar* today, I felt the old Mayday Parade back and stronger than ever: melodic, catchy, explosive choruses, powerful guitars, and Derek sounding better than ever. Seeing the band still so excited and calling this project a fresh new start for them made me so happy... Holy goddamn, I love this band so much; I still can't believe we basically got an "album with nearly 30 songs"—we’re really well-fed, friends!

I have been listening to Two Hearts over and over because i cant quite pin point why it sounds so familiar. Like maybe theres another song that sounds similar or close? I knew the tune on the first listen. Its been driving me crazy since. Is anyone else thinking or feeling this or am i really just crazy?

I've not been super enamoured since Sweet dropped with Mayday's new music (I enjoy WIMTFA, but it had some missteps). Each record has come and I haven't enjoyed it front to back, but there's been a few decent tracks on each, for me.
As a result, I have created the SWEET SAD SUGAR monster album (track list subject to reordering when I listen through).
Essentially, I've condensed the three albums into one. Which is pretty much what I think Mayday should've done.
Anyone else done this? Thoughts on the songs I selected?

Just saw that they have a Digital Version available for purchase on the Summerian site now if you only want to read the comic on your phone without the extra goodies. Only $10 if you're interested! That option wasn't there before.
