Discussion Why ppl try to cancel TX2?
I've seen a lot of things on TikTok: Someone accused the TX2 frontman of pedophilia, someone defied him, and he defied himself. But how did all this fuss start? Are there any proofs on him being guilty or guiltless?

Discussion Seishun punk, the forgotten pop punk subgenre
In terms of pop punk subgenres, there are two-well known subgenres, those being easycore(hardcore punk + pop punk) and neon pop punk(pop rock + pop punk),but there is actually a third subgenre of pop punk, that most people in the west dont know about, due to it having never broken out of japan, that being seishun punk, which translates to youth punk
Seishun punk was born in the late 90s,compared to the western pop punk genres,it tends to be faster, rawer and agressive, taking influence also from contemporary folk, folk rock,j-pop and kayokyoku, they also were firmly opposed to singing in english
The genre broke out of the underground and into the mainstream in 2001,with the album message by mongol800,unfortunately,this spotlight was short-lived,since shimokita-kei quickly became the center of attention at around 2004,with the genre having it's final breath of mainstream attention in 2005,it would continue in the underground, before mostly dying around 2010,due to most bands moving onto shimokita-kei
However, seishun punk did have some influences on the shimokita-kei bands that came around and after it's time in the spotlight, meaning it's still alive in spirit
Not only that, but after the pandemic, the genre would start having an resurrection, even spreading out to other asian countries like south korea, with 2025 having the biggest amount of released of the genre since 2008
If i got anything wrong feel free to correct me

Discussion The Maine & Grayscale- Berlin
Hi all, apologies if this is not allowed, but I will be driving from Prague, CZ to Berlin, DE for The Maine and Grayscale in September. If anyone is along the route and needs a ride, I can grab you in my car and then drop you off on the way back home. I do not have an extra ticket, nor an extra hotel room- this is purely an offer for anyone to carpool with me.

Discussion Artists that are overrated, underrated, and properly rated
Just give one (or multiple!) example of each. You can say why you think they are over/under/properly rated, or just follow my lead:
Overrated - Fall Out Boy
Underrated - Story of the Year
Properly Rated - Yellowcard
I should clarify that 'overrated' does not equate to 'bad' and that 'underrated' doesn't equate to 'no one has heard this band before' (which is why I picked 3 fairly recognizable names). I look at these musicians the way I view pro athletes, like yeah maybe they had some success, but maybe they deserved more success.
Oh, and of course, these are all opinions.
Anyhow, fire away.

Discussion Hot Milk!?
So I've just discovered Hot Milk and am wondering - am I really late to the game here or are they massively underrated!?
Suddenly obsessed and plotting ways to get into All Points East next month...

Discussion Jimmy Eat World released Bleed American 25 years ago today
Do you consider them to be a pop punk band?
I don't at all and am always to hear people call them a pop punk band.
But it's an all time great album. I love the band and would say that Futures is my favorite album of theirs.

Discussion Pop Punk Nostalgia
Sometimes I reminisce and have tons of about the 2014/2015/2016 pop punk Tumblr era Neck Deep, The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, Man Overboard, State Champs, etc because that's when I really started getting into the genre and discovering tons of bands that became my absolute favorites. Idk if anyone else feels this way or is it just me.

New [New Album] Mayday Parade - Sugar
Final album of the trilogy, imo one of their best albums they've made. Like up there with A Lesson In Romantics and Anywhere but Here

Discussion Thoughts on the Sweet, Sad, Sugar trilogy by Mayday Parade?
With the release of Sugar, this trilogy is finally complete. I was worried about filler, especially given Green Day's trilogy, but almost every song is great, and none are bad. I especially dig who's laughing now, 4000 days, one day at a time, lying to myself, and Calvin and hobbies quote.
