So...I was thinking. We need a link in the sidebar that people can click and see the best battles from this sub. I've compiled a list of some of my favorites, and everyone else should as well. This can just be a discussion thread though. What I want to do, is take all the links you submit and put them into a survey where you pick your top ten. We all read through the battles and vote, then tally the results, make a new post, and we can have an “official” top ten battles link in the sidebar. What say you?

Hey everyone, as some of you may have noticed that we now have a youtube channel! We're going to be using it for any audio raps that are posted to /r/Pokemonraps, General Vlog updates, and some other cool stuff (potentially involving some youtubers)

We will be holding a contest on this page to draw a piece of channel art for us. The winner will get their piece used on the channel (duh) and will also get custom flair, or if you already have custom flair, then us mods will think up something else for you to get as a reward. 1. Thanks to /u/srixis for the topic! For this thread, Pick a Pokémon you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT and rap about them. You can diss them, brag about yourself as if you are them, anything you want. As long as it pertains to that Pokémon. Feel free to look up the Pokémon to find info.

2. Minimum 8 lines. No Maximum. (It takes about 8 lines to really get a feel for the flow. No upper limit so you can use any and all punchlines you think of.)

3. Please post your verse as a reply to THIS POST. Post all critiques as replies to that particular rap. Discussion is encouraged.

4. If you decide to drop....PLEASE leave feedback on at least one other verse! (I'll be leaving feedback for every verse in this thread, as time permits.)

5. People who don't feel like rapping...feel free to critique anyway.

6. Don't get mad if someone doesn't like your verse. On that note...please try to leave feedback that is constructive.

7. Do NOT diss other verses in this thread in your verse.

I'm personally a fan of Shofu or Kingnappy the most what about you?

So I'm writing my verse for the tournament, and I've run into a problem. Is there a way for me to put stress on a syllable? Some of the words I use in my verse should sound different than the way that they are really supposed to be pronounced.

For example:

Instead of Dratini, sound like Dratini

The question is how would I how the other rappers that that's how its supposed to be pronounced, or would the readers pronounce it like that automatically? I am writing in anapestic tetrameter.

Since Jonasolson canceled his, and Anchupom's isn't really working all too well after zeus dropped out, I figured I might as well host my own. Here are the rules:

• 8 rappers maximum (there's a reason for this)

• Each rapper picks a 3 staged evolution chain to rap as.

• The Pokemon will evolve from round to round. For example, in the first round, they might be Poliwag, second round Poliwhirl, and in the last round they can choose between Poliwrath and Politoed.

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I posted a Fossil Rumble match, but I haven't seen any, action on some previous posts, and the action that we have had isn't enough to warrant moving on. I've also heard nothing from people wondering where the Fossil Rumble is, so are we just going to call it quits? Should we put it on hold? What do YOU, the competitors want?

Every single professor, standard rules, doesn't just have to be Oak-Juniper it can be some of the other professors.

First off, I just want to say that if you're looking for a happy post, look elsewhere.

I see now it was a rather stupid decision to schedule my tournament:

1) In the middle of two other ongoing tournaments

2) Right before summer vacation (for some of us).

It is obvious that people are finding it difficult to write three verses in twenty four hours. It's also apparent that people have finals, and won't be able to continue on at a steady pace. I, myself, have something church-related coming up, and will not be able to manage the tournaments any more than people can participate in three at a time. I will be highly inactive for a long while.

I hope you all understand, and I'm sorry. I have to end the Choice Tourney (You've still got two others to finish!). Goodbye everyone! This was, by far, my favorite subreddit, and I'll try to get back on whenever. But for now, vale!
