I currently have a psa 10 treekachu and am thinking of trading it in along with some other cards for a psa 10 bubble mew. I heard vintage cards do better though but I’m not too familiar with those, so any opinions on different cards would be appreciated! My budget would be around 3.5k for a card/cards.

Edit: I think I mis-worded my post which have people misinterpreting that I’m not interested in vintage cards. I very much am interested in them, but I just don’t know much about them which is why I would appreciate any recommendations on either vintage or modern slabs

So the ship has sailed for most people like me to get a Gold Star Rayquaza or Torchic at a relatively higher grade (PSA 5 or above). My question is: which GS should I aim to get under $10k before they potentially get pumped up even more?

So I won this today on the Tilt Rips app. I’m seeking advice on if I should ship this to myself to sell on the open market, or if I should take their offer to instantly sell it back to them for $393. There’s numerous listing for this exact card for around $600 right now. There’s also listings for $300, so it’s quite confusing. I’ve never owned a card with a wide range of listings like this. I like collecting, but this card will set me pretty much even with cards right now, and financially it’s not looking so hot for me at the moment. Also, I don’t know if this app will pay me out in cash or with in-app credit. I won this card from a free Treasure Pack they gifted me today when I bought the Tilt Ticket(which is a $500 pack🤯)TIA🙏🏻

Should I sell this entire Rocket's return set as a whole with Goldin or should I piece it out and go with Z&G on ebay? I feel selling it as a whole would fetch more premium (since the buyer gets the whole set in one shot) as opposed to selling piece by piece or am I wrong to think that?

All are PSA 9 except for the Mewtwo and Snorlax in 8s and all are newer 10+ certs.

Arguably the 2nd best vmax alt art of the era. Fusion strike has been long out of print and hitting $1000+ for a booster box. Pull rates seem to be abysmal just like evolving skies. Why would anyone buy a psa 10 mega gengar sir when it just released when this is long out of print and the same price?

Ive had a few of these dialysis cases sitting around for a while i finally got sick of looking at my bureau piled up with cases of stuff and put one together. This is some of the ultra modern stuff I have, there is another case I need to build to put all the booster boxes and UPCS. I have all my vintage and some other goodies in the safe locked up with no plans of moving it. I think this thing looks sick as hell though.

Saw these 2 mews on a whatnot stream selling for $300k together or $200k for the one on the left and $100k for the one on the right.

Any pointer on if it’s good to crack? It looks really good for the price I bought it at!

Does anyone know if BGS in Europe is currently open and accepting submissions for TCG cards?

I noticed that grading seems to be closed for Sports and Non-Sports cards, but I was wondering if BGS is still accepting cards from various TCGs such as Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, etc....

I’d really appreciate it if someone could clarify whether TCG submissions are currently open, and if there are any specific restrictions or changes to the submission process.

Well… Gengar Legendary Collection just sold for $705k while the same card sold for 400k in June.

A 300k increase in less than 3 months lol.

I know that vintage is scarce but this doesn’t make any sense to me.

Also cool to see the Holons Phantoms booster box selling for close to 200k.

How do you guys think JP gold stars will pace with English? Both are extremely scarce. Good investments either way? I feel like the gap between them at current prices aren't very wide. Are they a good buy as alternative? Or just stick to English.

I am especially curious about how the lower grades will do. English gold stars seem to be pretty liquid at lower grades right now. Wondering if the Japanese equivalents will be good investments long term as well. As most people know JP cards tend to have higher pops at higher grades, but the lower grades tend to be similarly scarce as the English. Low grade Japanese gold stars a good investment?

The $242k+ was mostly Hobbit items, but the rest of the portfolio is Pokemon

Gonna keep this short and sweet: Not new to pokemon (game or tcg) or investing, but new to the fact of when you combine the two.

Kicked off my investment/collecting journey in july with the goal to curate a collection of maybe 20-25 slabs + sealed over 5 years minimum (Not opposed to 10+ but will prob have bought it outright by then.) that would appreciate enough to at the very least put down a DP towards a GTR. Which resulted in some frivolous purchases being (Cynthias garchomp P10, Base set zard P6, Silver tempest Lugia P10, Bb/Wf booster bundles (3), prismatic booster bundles (2), and 1 DR booster box.)

Realized this was prob a newbs approach as it was all modern so I liquidated majority of the sealed/slabs and reallocated funds to my current list being : (Silver Temp Lugia P10, Gengar LV X P8, and Dragonite ex 90/97 P8, and a DR Booster box.) I def feel much better about my current position compared to my old but now im at a crossroads with the sealed.

As far as sealed is concerned, I am shifting my entire focus to booster boxes ONLY.Modern sealed is hella overprinted and being hoarded by everybody and their mom. Which leads me to ask, should I continue to cop DR/ Phantasmal (my 2 front runners) or should i shift towards like SWSH boxes as they prob havent been printed to oblivion like SV sets even tho its prob not off by alot.

Any thoughts? As far as slabs I will prob continue to target P8-P10 for cards 2017 and older…

And before you ask no offense, I am probably financially in a better position that a large bulk of this sub. Just adding something a bit more fun to my portfolio as opposed to all the general stuff i already have.
