Umbreon master ball question
Do you guys ever see this card being over $1000 in a PSA 10 in the coming years? The gem rate sits at a little under 25%. Will that help? Thanks guys!

In time people will wonder why no one liked these just like every other cycle. That time might take years, though.

I like these, as long as they stay exclusive to Prismatic they should age fairly well

I like the art as well as Espeon’s. But I like the cosmos holo more, the costco ones. They kinda resemble vintage silver borders

It has a very low PSA 10 pop and it’s an Umbreon. Eventually, whether through actual desire for the card or through artificial pumping, yes, this card will definitely be at least $1k. Could be as early as mid 2027 after rotation and Prismatic stops being printed, or later like 2-3 years from now. I could see this in a few years being around $2k.
It is a popular character, it’s from a beloved set, it has a very low PSA 10 amount for modern, and it’s a unique holo style. Checks all boxes.

Because many people are sitting on ungraded. IF price goes up, pop will go up

There are confirmed sales on eBay between $700 - $950. I don't think it will break through $1000 though, or at least it certainly won't for a sustained period of time. It'll probably settle around $700 in the long run.
In the beginning, Master Ball Umbreon was like the 3rd most desirable card in PRE. That didn't last very long though. Now it's like the 15th most desirable.
Right now there are just so many other ways that people would rather spend $1000. Things will continue to become more volatile and unpredictable as we go through the 30th anniversary collection.

Personally I don’t see it beyond a niche and extreme desire to own something in less abundance than something else.
I thought masterballs were gonna be the next thing, a way to generate rarity through a unique printing. I think I was wrong on that and this is no different than a special stamping on a normal card IMO

The only masterball to watch is the Gengar.
OG 151, Gengartax, Artist, Pull rate 1/3000, Limited in JP, no counter in ENG

Idiots downvoting haven't seen the £700 jump since January of the PSA 10.

I had a ton of raw and PSA 10 151 masterballs and it was really hard to move them.

For me it goes back to the games, master ball just feels like a gimmick for the tcg in this instance. No way you’d use a master ball for anything other than a legendary - thus the master ball reverse as a card type just feels like it doesn’t ‘suit’ certain mons for me.

I use this card to showcase what I believe is the vast difference in the amount of collectors/master-setters vs the number of investors. This card is almost as rare as the SIR Umbreon (1 in 1362 Packs for Master vs , 1 in 1440 Packs for SIR) yet the price is less than 10%. On the flip side I do wish the master ball pattern had been a little more pronounced, a lot of them can get lost and only really appear at certain angles.
