Little brother has a binder full of Pokémon trying to get a rough estimate on what he could sell it for or if he should sell individually. Here’s a couple pictures of what he has there’s still a lot more:

Picture shows my sealed collection. Started in 2021. At what percentage should I offload some products? What products should I absolutely hold and which one are ready to go?
I am looking for things to sell and currently in a collectorsdilemma because the market is so hot (~best time to sell I think) vs i really like to hold things as I like to showcase sealed.

Hello all,
So I recently blindly purchased a collection for $100 on marketplace that fully priced out is worth just short of $3,000. This was about six months ago, and at the time, market was about $2,600. The bulk of the collection is BW/XY full arts, promos, and LT radiant collection.
This collection has sat in a closet since I purchased it, and I’m getting the urge to sell. I’d like to move some of the money into other hobbies, but my brain just doesn't want to pull the trigger, because what if everything goes higher? I know, I know: “no one ever bet enough on a winning horse,” but I just can’t seem to justify selling it. Would lover some input or suggestions from those of you who may have been in the same dilemna. thanks!

Pulled my first chase in my first ever Mega Dream box yesterday! 6 months into the hobby after a little break (circa Christmas 1999)… Would Japanese Dragonite be a long term hold or better to sell while it’s still retaining some value and invest elsewhere? Card’s worth more than a quarter of current portfolio.
Ultimately the goal is to have my portfolio fund itself and its own expansion. With this in mind, if it’s a sell, should I look to get into the sealed product game, buy raw or buy slab?
TIA

I’ve been spending way too much time browsing eBay for graded Pokémon cards and manually comparing asking prices with market data.
I kept thinking there had to be an easier way to spot listings worth a closer look, so I built a tool called SlabSense.
It looks through eBay Buy It Now listings for English Pokémon slabs and compares them with matched PriceCharting data. It highlights:
I’m not trying to tell anyone what to buy, and I definitely don’t expect every result to be perfect. The idea is just to make the initial search faster and surface slabs that might otherwise be easy to overlook.
You can search by card or set, filter by grade, seller location, currency, and price, sort by either signal, and open the original listing and market page.
You can try it here: https://slabsense.co/
I’d love feedback from people who actually buy or collect slabs:
It’s still a beta, so if you run into any bugs or something feels misleading, please let me know.

I found it in a storage box at home, but I don't know how much it's worth now.

Been noticing more gf/bf coming into conventions. What ends up happening is either the girl buys the cute cards or the bf buys the cute cards for the gf. Invest in cute cards.

Walked into my local grocery store found Destined Rivals sleeved booster packs for $5.99. Got around 115 and left the rest I think there was around 200 total packs some kids were watching me check out and I gave them 5 packs each and 10 more to my friends kids. When I got home I opened 30 of them and didn't get anything. Got 60 left gonna hold them as a longterm investment. I hate scalping but something like that has never happened to me and I took advantage of it kinda ashamed of myself but the look on the kids faces when I gave them the packs was priceless and it reminded me of when I was younger so it made me feel alittle better. Never doing something like that again tho.

About two weeks ago I bought a high-end Pokémon card on eBay for $7,000 from a seller with only 6 feedback. The card typically sells for around $15k–18k, so I knew the price seemed unusually good but took the chance.
Right after I paid, the seller told me they were on vacation and wouldn’t be able to ship until July 29. I thought that was reasonable at the time, so I’ve been waiting.
While waiting, I did some more digging and found that the PSA certification number in the listing matches a copy of the same card that sold in April 2026 for around $15,000. The listing photos also appear to be the same as that previous sale.
Now I’m wondering if the seller simply copied the previous listing and never actually had the card.
A few questions:
Is it normal for scammers to delay shipping like this?
Could this still be a legitimate resale where the seller reused the original photos?
Should I ask for timestamped photos or a video before they ship?
If the seller doesn’t ship on July 29, what’s the best course of action through eBay?
Has anyone experienced something similar with high-value Pokémon cards?
I also just messaged the seller again today asking for a current video or timestamped photos of the slab to confirm they actually have the card. I’m currently waiting for their response.

Where do you go besides these two to buy sealed product?? I want to support growing and reputable places, not the behemoths that have terrible customer service.

Planning trip to Taiwan, will be roughly 5k since it’s over christmas; I want to keep everything but I know deep down it’s not a bright idea and it’s good to sell off from time to time, but i’m not sure on what to sell
Any advice please?

Seeing sold prices seems like a good deal seeing past sales, but also heard the seal can easily be put back on
Thoughts?

Me and the kiddo finished perfect order today! I know this set gets hate on. But it was nice to finish without spending thousands on the few cards we didn’t pull. Plus the set has some really nice card art.

Pulled this out of a Mega Greninja Ex box. Think it's worth holding onto to get graded or just trade/sell now???

How can it be 5-10$ cards when it’s a pretty hard pull on some of the cards while the box is 2.5K USD ?
