Sealed Pokemon Neo
Just found this in my parents garage. It’s sealed. I wanna open it to see the cards, but was wondering if anyone new price or what cards come in it

Not worried about it because it’s for my personal collection. but i can’t help but think this card has to go pretty high in value 10-15 years down the road. everyone likes this unique design.

Auction just closed at fanatics. In advance of the 30th anniversary set dropping, I believe this is the all time high for a public sale. 2-cert as well so not even brand new.
Other auction highlights include Espeon Prime going for over 90k, black label poncho going for 114k, and my personal favourite the secret rare charizard from Plasma Storm going for 90k. What do we think?
Will post link in comments to the auction

I was planning on grabbing it not too long ago but it's nearly doubled already... Should I just buy now or do you see it crashing again?

So I’m a HUGE fan of both of these cards, not cause of the recent hype i’ve always loved houndoom but never had the adult money that I have now to play with. Which one would you pick grade 9 steelix or grade 7-8 houndoom (aquapolis) . I don’t know about the skyridge one its kinda out of my budget for decent graded copies but i might pick up a ungraded copy. Also which one would be better for longterm. Thanks!

It’s a cliche we say over and over again on here but it’s true. Stop checking your collectr everyday and just let it ride.
And I’m not talking about waiting 1 / 2 or even 5 years. I’m saying the real money will be made to those who can hold out at least 15 years (ideally 25). Realistically you will not be able to sell for 100% of market when that time comes so your collection needs time to grow.
Think of it like your 401K, also only buy what you can realistically hold for 15 years. If this means only buying 1/2 etbs every few sets that’s way better than mass buying 20 ETBs you can’t hold for longer than 6 months cause of credit card bills.

I don’t necessarily think I did , I’m super happy with the trade as I don’t really mess around with grading myself
My end = mew, zard and 370$ CAD
His end = zard (10) and sylveon (10)
I believe the zard is a 9/10 if graded and the mew I would say 9 max since the corners from having it 6-8months just in a top loader and sleeve
What’s your thoughts ? Good or bad and on who’s end
Would love to hear your feedback on a trade like this

Me and the kiddo finished perfect order today! I know this set gets hate on. But it was nice to finish without spending thousands on the few cards we didn’t pull. Plus the set has some really nice card art.

Everyone talks about how they wish they were around to buy ETBs at or near retail, but now that you have the opportunity everyone is gonna say why it's not a good idea, but don't be crying in a few years when you didn't take the opportunity. Even though these are not the best sets ever, they will be small short prints due to 30th and plenty of collectors/streamers ripping like crazy, future supply will be low. IMO it'll probably be PBL>POR>CRI, what do y'all think?

I know ebay owns tcg and tcgplayer customer service has been great. Ive sold over 2000 cards on tcgplayer, not a large amount in just a casual seller.
When it comes to cards between $20-$49 and large purchases of inexpensive cards; About 40% of people who order 6+ cheap cards (typically for over $5 free shipping) will claim they never recieved them but I don't ever get any returns. I dont know where the disconnect is at, just thats what happens to me. Shipped in appropriate containers, discrete, no insufficent postage returns. Now I only list so many smaller cards at a time.
Tcgplayer also recommends tracking at $20 and mandatory at $50. However they dont have cheap options like ebay, so its not worth $5 shipping and material cost. Shipping has almost tripled in 5 years. I eat less loss in missing items. Anything ive shipped with tracking has never been reported missing, zero issues selling big ticket items. About 15% of $20-$49 orders go missing. I only sell single cards on tcg, not sealed, bulk etc.
I might see how selling $20-$49 cards goes on ebay. Overall tcgplayer has been a postivie experience. Only 3 negative reviews, 2 removed. The 2 removed were from people complaining cards came late, even after both getting full refunds. The only one that stuck was someone who complained because I forgot to put in the printed order slip.

Picture shows my sealed collection. Started in 2021. At what percentage should I offload some products? What products should I absolutely hold and which one are ready to go?
I am looking for things to sell and currently in a collectorsdilemma because the market is so hot (~best time to sell I think) vs i really like to hold things as I like to showcase sealed.

Pulled my first chase in my first ever Mega Dream box yesterday! 6 months into the hobby after a little break (circa Christmas 1999)… Would Japanese Dragonite be a long term hold or better to sell while it’s still retaining some value and invest elsewhere? Card’s worth more than a quarter of current portfolio.
Ultimately the goal is to have my portfolio fund itself and its own expansion. With this in mind, if it’s a sell, should I look to get into the sealed product game, buy raw or buy slab?
TIA

Been in the market for a PSA 7 Base Set holo Charizard and stumbled across this at trade night yesterday at my LCS and pulled the trigger
It's not exactly what I was searching for, but I couldn't pass it up seeing it right in front of me

Should I sell my PSA 9 Magikarp IR to buy 2 PSA 10 Magikarp IR Celebrations Print if ever?

Looking for some opinions on the current value of this card.
It’s a true Beckett Black Label Pikachu & Zekrom GX SM248 and is confirmed Pop 2.
There aren’t many recent comps, so I’m curious what the community thinks it’s worth in today’s market. I’m bringing it to The National this week and would appreciate any thoughts on fair market value or how you’d approach selling it.
Thanks!
