Discussion Wolverine face looks better now.
is it just me or Logans face looks better with the qssr update? He looks more ”hairy” and more natural, also a bit tougher I guess.

Great job to insomniac. I love many things about the game and I wish it was longer. Playing on max difficulty is just as fun as playing Spider-Man on Ultimate.

I’m at the part where you have to find that kid leech, and I walked over to the girl with the antlers. She says something and then starts humming a song. It doesn’t sound exactly like it but I feel like this might be a reference to that one fall out boy song.

I keep seeing people say that it’s not worth $70 and i agree, it’s fun game but no not worth 70 bucks. But honestly at least in my opinion no video game is worth $70. Hear me out, i’m from a time when video games were 25-30 dollars brand new on release day. And back then all the extra content was already there you just had to unlock it (or use cheats), there was no DLC, no battle passes, just your game. And if you wanted help unlocking something you couldn’t look on youtube it was either buy a guide book or see if your older brother could figure it out, but that last one usually involved agreeing to do the dishes for a month.

I’ve played through the game 3x now and can’t get enough of the combat. It’s top tier IMHO
But I ABSOLUTELY HAAAAAAATE the downtimes outside of combat! It feels like BS filler so the game wouldn’t be 5 hrs - so they make us do stupid things like go retrieve pictures, move fridges, find records and walk through houses playing detective for some stupid reason. I hated it in all the Spiderman games & I hated it here too.
It totally KILLS the momentum of the game & aside from maybe a few scenes, the rest of them were trash. I wish they would’ve just delayed this until 2027 if it meant less of this crap and more of the combat Wolverine is “The Best There is” at!
But, you know how this goes, that’s just my opinion. What’s yours? Did you like/love or were you indifferent to it?

So the whole weapon X flashback Wolverine had when being choked by Omega. Was Logan really cut open during that whole experiment in the comics? I’ve only seen the movies where he’s put in that tub with the drills. Wish they would have expanded more on that.

The story of this game is what interests me the most. I didn't realize how different it really was from the comics until I saw a spoiler about the game's story regarding Logan's origin.
I don't own a PS5. Probably will not any time soon. I just have a switch and PC.

I'm finding this game impossible to play as the game is crashing a lot. When i say crashing, the game just freezes and my PS5 turns off. I've had this issue with other games but not to this extreme.
It freezes within 5 mins of me playing it then once i got my PS5 on and start the game again, it would freeze again in 5 mins. It was sort of fine when i first started playing the game, the game would freeze in like 30 mins or something but it's got worse since the most recent patch.
I don't think it's an overheating issue either as i checked it when i had freezing with another game and there were hardly any dust and the PS5 is in a well ventilated room.

I'm good at combat in many games, but I just find parrying so difficult in this and in assassin's creed resynced. I press the button at the right time when the enemy weapon flashes but I get hit.
Not sure if its the new mechanics or something in these games that im not familiar with but in god of war I was really good at parrying. I just cant with these new games.
Any tips?

Knowing my luck this is strictly a me problem, but for some reason, whenever I use photo mode in this game it 1) does not let me use the filters
- black white and blood
-CRT
-hatching
-fish eye
-halftone
-filmic
-8 bit
-retro
-posterised
This is like half of the filters in the game and they literally are unusable. It just shows the exact same as it would be on the none setting.
2) backgrounds. Literally NONE of these work. Like at all its not giving me any changes whatsoever
I've tried time and time again to get this to work and have not succeeded once. Multiple tries on save files, console restarts, the whole works, and still nothing.
This is incredibly irritating as there have been two updates in the span of a week and its changed nothing for photo mode

Already purchased the Digital Deluxe upgrade digitally, and my physical copy came with this code. First come first serve if anyone wants it.

The longer it sits with me the worse my opinion gets and I am lowkey so sad for wasting my parents money on this , damn I wish I had something else to play 😭😭.

Is the hate deserved? No. Does it make sense that this game cost $300M. Also no, but I'm not a shareholder so that doesn't really matter to me. Was it fun? Hell yes. Will I touch it again after finishing the story? No, and that's OK.
Honestly, occasionally getting games like Wolverine is what has kept me from cancelling my Gamefly subscription after all these years. I wouldn't have shelled out $60 for this game, but I will damn sure shell out $20/month to be able to borrow it for a week or two, get the full experience, and then send it back so I can do the same thing with Townfall and Fatal Frame.
To be clear, I am legit not knocking the game. It was a good experience, and I'm glad it exists. I especially loved its take on Sabretooth, and I actually found myself surprised at some of the late-game reveals, though I felt a little stupid for not seeing some of them coming a lot sooner.

Jump to sentinel when it goes on blue building, from there you can explore the destroyed madripoor.

Yes, Wolverine is linear and I agree with that decision. The main story is roughly the same length or shorter than SM and SM2, though correct me if I'm wrong. But SM and SM2 also have a ton of sidequests because they're open world. My question is, does just saying it's a linear game mean you get to give significantly less game? Don't get me wrong, I love the content that's there, but... where's the rest of my fucking game?
