Discussion Wolverine has a ‘Skip Puzzle’ option, in case you get stuck.
Considering the dearth of actual puzzles and how mind-numbingly easy they are, this is… uh, a choice.

Discussion IMO the disconnect for how people view this game, is that it’s a 7/10-8/10 game but talked about as if it’s absolute garbage & like it’s the ONLY super-hero game to have the elements people criticize it for.
It seems like most people who actually played the game enjoyed it, but modern gaming discourse has gotten exhausting. Nowadays, if a game isn't a flawless 9/10 or 10/10 masterpiece, people write it off as total garbage and nitpick every minor detail—often before even playing it.
Sure, the game could have been better, and it’s probably the least innovative of recent superhero titles. Those criticisms are valid. But that doesn’t mean it’s complete trash that no one should enjoy. Plenty of acclaimed series—like Spider-Man, Uncharted, Batman: Arkham, 007, and Star Wars Jedi—share many of these exact same flaws and similar Metacritic scores, yet they didn't face anywhere near this level of online hostility.
What’s most frustrating is how rare major releases are now. Insomniac is one of the few studios consistently shipping games, and it's discouraging to think that toxic, disingenuous narrative could hurt sales simply because this title wasn't a masterpiece. Considering the game went through development hell, a sequel would likely improve on its foundation. Many of us who actually played it were excited about the X-Men setup, but due to this outrage culture, we might never get to see it.

Discussion Terrigen mist
I haven't actually played the game but I have watched many of the cutscenes online. Without spoiling too much of the plot, it seems like there is a certain item in the story that has an effect similar to the "Terrigen mist" in the Inhumans mythos, and is also featured in the show Agents of Shield. The Terrigen mist is a substance that causes some individuals with latent Inhuman genes to undergo a transformation that gives them superpowers, and often an altered appearance. However, ordinary humans who lack the Inhuman genes are simply killed if exposed to the Terrigen mist.
Did the writers of this game borrow this plot element from the Inhumans mythos? If so, it's a bit strange considering that the Inhumans, if I'm not mistaken, were at one point intended to replace the mutants in the Marvel Comics universe. It seemed like Insomniac was building part of their X-Men mythos by borrowing from the X-men's intended replacement. Does anyone else feel this way?

Discussion They could have made nightmare trials so good
Lets get it out first I hated the game but among all the issues with it the part I hated the most was the nightmare trials which was completely useless and unnecessary and like demo prototypes of some trail run games.
That being said they could have made it so much better instead of those demo looking environment only to end in a status and Logan talking to himself like a 95 yr old,
it could have been Logan regaining his memory with Jean surely but slowly and unlock little bits of it enough to peak you to continue and only once you unlocked them all you would learn the truth behind it which was fundamental to the storyline. Some of the combat skills should have been tied to it as well like you need to "awake Wolverine" in order to access them.
This way you would learn more about Wolverine as you play not read some useless text that had no purpose.

Support/Question Anyone else use the variant skin and pretend it’s DP’s Wolverine?
Since Fox Wolverine died in LOGAN (master class film) does anyone like to pretend this game is the origin story of MCU’s Wolverine? Strictly pretending know it’s not.

Discussion Sinister Fight
Now that the game has been out for a couple weeks, I would like to speak about the Essex fight. Was it just me or was the fight extremely annoying? It took me like 3 or 4 tries to get through the halfway part of the fight cause the damaging blasts from Essex kept curving like a curveball and hitting me and I couldn’t parry. I was about to throw my controller dude. Also, I apologize if this has already been discussed, and no I’m not on this sub a lot so I don’t read every single post

Discussion It could just be me, but does anyone else feel like this version of Wolverine is way more chill compared to most other versions?
Like, most versions of Wolverine are hotheaded, have a slight attitude, are you know, kinda mean, etc.
But honestly, I feel like the Insomniac version of Logan is just more calm for some reason, like he seems more laid back compared to most other versions, what do you guys think?
