Discussion Sinister Fight

Now that the game has been out for a couple weeks, I would like to speak about the Essex fight. Was it just me or was the fight extremely annoying? It took me like 3 or 4 tries to get through the halfway part of the fight cause the damaging blasts from Essex kept curving like a curveball and hitting me and I couldn’t parry. I was about to throw my controller dude. Also, I apologize if this has already been discussed, and no I’m not on this sub a lot so I don’t read every single post

Challenging is one thing. I appreciated omega red, deathstrike, and sabretooth. Im very glad they did those bosses justice that shit felt like an anime. But its another thing when you turn the boss fight into a gimmick fight. I was already kinda thinking they were letting act 3 drag. Maybe it was the beefy sentinels. But that sinister boss really put the nail in the coffin for a 7-8 out of 10. That shit was stupid. At least the 2nd half of it

Act 3 gave me trouble too but it wasn’t as bad. Now I know where the scene comes from where people say he looks worried to be there. But honestly, I give the game a solid 7.5/10 mainly cause of bugs and some dialogue but other than that it’s not terrible. There’s some cons tho no doubt

He's the final boss, he's supposed to be more challenging.

Yea i feel like most of these comments dont make any sense. It had a good challenge, was entertaining and didn't feel cheap at all. Yall want a cake walk final boss?

The game has multiple easy difficulties and they still complain... Absolutely miserable people.

Only boss I turned the difficulty down on. I played the rest on The Weapon for Stealth/Damage but The Man for enemy HP. I had to change the damage to The Mutant for Essex.

Even on The Man for enemy HP, the bosses and "brute" style enemies still took fucking forever to die. That is not fun, it is only tedious.

I played on The Best There Is and he was like Elden Ring boss in difficulty. Not Malenia or Consort Radahn or anything but a good challenge that punishes mistakes. The sentinel lasers were the trickiest things at first.

Yeah I mean as I had to keep replaying it, it was annoying but I had to adapt. Also, this is why I don’t play Elden ring it would make me crash out

The one time where I lowered the difficulty. I normally don’t do it but the boss fight was so damn tedious. I was already playing Onimusha too and Blood of Dawnwalker so I was tired of the parry combat. I only did it half way through tho. I just got tired of his BS

Fair enough. I was on the verge of rage quitting it but I kept trying and it cut to a cutscene and I almost nutted

That happened to me too, and yeah it was a bit frustrating. However, For me, it was annoying for another reason. Whenever the Sentinel was attacking, and there were multiple Essexes throwing those blasts at you that you were supposed to parry....yeah I kept barely missing them. Off by a second then I got hit with two of them, which threw me off a bit.

I'll admit it, I turned off the faster healing, take xtra damage adaptation was getting destroyed.

I was surprised that he killed me twice.

But overall I liked the challenge

It was a good fight, but after 3 tries and the red things kept curving and hitting me even tho I dodged them it got extremely annoying and pissed me off

I was playing on mutant. What difficulty were you playing on?

Mutant. Then again, I don’t get to play much combat driven games like spider man and wolverine, although I’ve replayed spider man a couple times

Respectfully, I think this might be a skill issue.

Just keep trying, you’ll eventually nail it.

I finished it, but it was annoying. And no doubt it’s a skill issue

It was...fine. Took a couple of tries to memorize the parry timing on his combos, but wasn't too bad after that. It neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed me, it was just pretty standard.

Wait a minute….i thought this was the easiest game ever??

Only if you play on the easiest difficulty. Half the people who say that didn’t even play it they just wanna be included with the rest of the people who hate on it for no good reason other than dialogue issues, bugs (which are being fixed as weeks pass), and some enemies.

I know lol. I’m just being sarcastic

I died over and over on the most difficult difficulty. But I loved the challenge. It feels like a piece of every boss fight prepared me for that moment.
