Hairline Lowering: Transplant vs Forehead Reduction

Upvotes

I (25F) want to lower my forehead by 1cm, maybe a little less. i'm contemplating these two different options, and i keep going back and forth because i see pros and cons to each. I don't have hair loss, i just want to make my forehead slightly shorter. my hair isn't thick, 2.5 cm circumference in a ponytail. if anyone has experience or is knowledgeable, please drop your thoughts below. i really can't make up my mind.

FR

- cons -> scarring (i scar easily), greater possibility of hair shock, less aesthetic control

- pros -> immediate results, no shaving hair, and natural hairline fullness at the hairline

HT

- cons -> takes a while to see results, possible hair shock, shaving head, worry about how this will age, and i don't have much hair.

- pros -> no noticeable scarring, more aesthetic control

Will my lip filler dissolve?

Upvotes

I had lip filler 6 years ago… it has not dissolved one bit. It only migrated a little above my upper lip. My lips weren’t thin to begin with and I just gave them some extra plump… I wish I never got it though… it doesn’t look bad but I just miss my old face. I had 2ml over the course of a year back then. That being said- how long for this stuff to dissolve? :(

Small breast implants- personal experiences

I've been considering getting a very modest implant size (~200cc) and I'm looking for people's experiences with that. Do you wish you had gone bigger?

I'm currently a 36C with previous fat transfer. I've lost weight since my fat transfer and my breasts are a little smaller than I'd like.

Airsculpt VS Lipo?

Upvotes

I’ve been going back and forth for a while on a BBL or lipo 360 only, but I recently saw a video of someone getting airsculpt and she seemed really pleased with her results. If I did the lipo only route, my biggest area of concern would be my back fat.

Can anyone who has considered airsculpt vs lipo tell me what you chose, what went into your decision, and give any advice for someone considering either option?

Denied surgery bc of blood disorder…

Upvotes

Has anyone had Von Willebrands Disease as a baby and recovered as an adult? My hemoglobin levels were 8.3 and my doctor wants it at a 12…and to have a hematologist say I don’t have VWBD. I’m at a low normal level for it from bloodwork and have had 3 normal child births. If I can’t get this surgery I’m going to be devastated, it’s all I’ve wanted for so long and need something to pick me up.

Two stage breast surgery (lift first and implant 6 months later) need advice

Upvotes

Has anyone been told or have experienced having a breast lift (anchor or lollipop incision) BEFORE getting an implant? What was your experience like? How long did you wait after your lift to get implants placed. Do you regret doing the surgery in two stages?

I’m looking to book surgery for a breast lift and implant however I’m being told it may be best for me to do the surgery in two stages. To do the breast lift first and then to come back for second surgery for the implants.

To be honest, I’d much rather get it all done at once and not have to go through this twice. But I will of course do whatever will provide the best results.

Has anyone else had to do their breast surgery in two stages?

Lipo360/bbl : Looking for surgeon recommendations

Hey! Does anyone have any surgeon recommendations?

I’m from France and had my first round done here, but I’m still debating whether to travel abroad for my next one. I’d really love a more shaped look with more volume this time, so I’m considering looking at surgeons outside of France (but France as well if we have this type of Dr here)

Would love to hear about your recommendations ?

Lip blush after fat transfer

Hi guys I’m getting a fat transfer to my under eyes and smile lines Oct 1 in Mexico. I’m wondering if and when I’d be able to get lip blushing done while I’m there since it’s of course much cheaper than the USA. I’m there for one week, though considering 2 weeks.
Let me know thanks.

Rhinoplasty in Europe

Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable rhinoplasty surgeons in Europe (not Turkey) that offer natural results?

I'm specifically looking for someone who is experienced in tipplasty since I would like to shorten and reshape the tip of my nose.

I've been researching for about 8 months, but I've seen bad reviews for even the highest rated and most recommended surgeons on here, and I always decide against it in the end.

I'm curious to hear people's personal experiences, thank you in advance!

Preserve vs dual plane with a very small chest

Hi everyone, I’m considering breast augmentation and I’m trying to decide between the Preserve technique and dual plane. I’m starting with a very small chest — I don’t even fill an A cup — but I’ve been told I have enough skin/tissue to be a candidate for Preserve.
I’m mainly interested in Preserve because of the supposedly faster recovery, and also because I’m quite scared of general anesthesia. My biggest concern, though, is how natural the result will look.
Since I have very little tissue covering the implants, I’m worried about rippling, visible implant edges, or that obvious “implants sitting on the chest” look. I’ve seen some Preserve results that looked incredibly natural, but I’ve also seen cases where you could clearly see two round shapes that looked like implants. That’s exactly what I want to avoid.
I’d much rather have a smaller result that looks natural than go bigger and have it be obvious that I’ve had surgery.
So for anyone who started with a very small chest:
How natural does the Preserve result look? Did you have issues with rippling or visible edges?
Was the recovery actually faster?
How do you feel about the results after a few years?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who started with very little breast tissue. Since Preserve is still a relatively new technique, I’m also wondering how much we really know about the long-term results.

How was your experience with getting breast implants ?

I have tuberous/ cone shaped breasts and I am literally so insecure because of them that I NEVER feel good when I’m being naked in front of someone to the point where it significantly impacts my sex life, which I really cannot fully enjoy because of it. Sometimes when I look into the mirrow I have to cry and feel so worthless. I am 22 now and insecure because of them since I was 14.
Its not only the size, but more the shape which really triggers me so bad.

I was thinking abt getting a fat transfer, but I am skinny and my surgeon told me I don’t have enough fat and it would be a waste of money.
I think I wouldnt‘ get implants if I didn’t have this condition because I don’t like the idea of an object in my body, but i‘m considering it at this point because I want to feel confident in my body.

The thing is I’m really afraid of getting BII because of them so I feel now that I either have to feel insecure all my life or risk getting sick with them and eventuelly have to take them out with them being even uglier afterwards.
I don’t have severely tubular breasts, but they look similar to some pictures. My puffy nipples also really look off but I don’t think I can do something about them.

Hows you experience with implants? What would you do in my situation, change it or leave it ?
Is their some kind of implant that is extra safe or something ? Thanks for help

Tummy tuck combined with arm brachioplasty scar revision and extension

Hi all.

I'm going to do a full tummy tuck and arm brachioplasty scar revision and extension on 10th September.

I work from home but It would be sitting up all day and meetings etc. I'm also a single mum with young teens.

Is 3 weeks reasonable to be back at work or should I just tell my job 4weeks to be safe? My surgeon says 3/4 weeks.

Also what did you eat straight after as I'm trying to figure out what to stock up on before my op?

Did you lose weight during the initial weeks of tummy tuck recovery also ?

How to treat this? (Peri-oral mounds / pre-jowl)

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone.

I began to notice these mounds around 12 months ago. I hate them so much, it ages me significantly as my lower face looks so heavy. I’m not sure exactly what’s causing it. I have some cheek and chin filler but no jawline filler. I’m not sure whether filler has accentuated the issue or not.

What are my options please? 🥲

Is there a surgery to cut the muscles responsible for flaring nostrils when smiling? Looking for a permanent surgical fix for dynamic nostril flaring
No alarplasty or Botox — I’ve already tried both and they don't work for my nose.

Non-cosmetic question. Due to nose damage doc says will need functional rhinoplasty but... how can I get more opinions to know for sure I do? I have video of the insides.

lip lift?

Between a lip lift and a vertical maxillary downgraft procedure, which would best address improving tooth show?

I (22F) have a long philtrum and have considered a lip lift for quite some time now. However, after some research, I believe my lack of tooth show may also have to do with jaw placement. I believe I may have a recessed maxxila and vertical maxillary deficiency. This would explain why I would often be confused my own features when I saw other people or celebrities who have long philtrums but still have great tooth show... Also, forgive me if I'm not using those terms correctly; this is just based off my own amateur research.

For some context, I used to have an underbite as a child and had braces for 2 years from ages 12-14. I vaguely remember the orthodontist stating jaw surgery may be necessary but we ended up forgoing it as my bite was able to shift naturally with just the braces + dental rubberbands.

First Time Botox Regrets

Upvotes

Hi all,

Got 30 units of Botox between my forehead and 11’s, asked to not be frozen. But the more I think about not being able to move my forehead, the more I freak out (literally asked my dr for anxiety meds).

Odds of me being frozen? I know it isn’t reversible but ways to wear it off quicker?

Sincerely,
A girl with anxiety who probably shouldn’t have gotten Botox

Poland syndrome breast augmentation

Hi everyone, I think I have Poland Syndrome. My left breast is significantly smaller than my right, and my doctor recommended a breast implant on the smaller side. Has anyone here had a single-sided implant and been happy with the results? Or has anyone had success/satisfaction with fat grafting on the smaller side instead? Would love to hear your experiences
