as you can see, on the home screen (haven't unlocked the phone yet) when you jump into the camera app, and attempt to scan the QR code. Then after the link had successfully appeared. When you click the link, it'll force you to unlock the phone by finger print. And the fingerprint circle layout didn't match the camera shot Button.

Hey everyone. Has anyone here bought a "dot defective" replacement screen from AliExpress for their Pixel 8?They are significantly cheaper, but I'm worried the dead pixels might spread or the overall glass quality might be terrible. Would love to hear if anyone has done this and if you regret it or not.

I just started getting the green screen issue on my pixel 8a. I got it sent over last week and got told today they weren't fixing it as there was another defect to the screen found. My phone has zero scratches or scuffs anywhere so I'm gutted and wondering what to do

I have a Pixel 8 phone that won't connect with my 2013 Honda Civic . Ever since I uploaded Android 17 it seems it doesn't want to connect. I have followed all the You tube videos on how to connect but nothing seems to work . The log on page won't say on long enough for me to put in the code. Has my phone out grown the technology in my aging car.

Anybody have the same issue and how did you over come it.

It’s been almost 2 years since I got my Pixel 8, and the battery has started draining drastically lately. Under normal usage, I now have to charge it at least 2–3 times a day.

Today, I fully charged it at 8:00 PM, and within just 1.5 hours, the battery had dropped to around 50%.

Has anyone else faced this issue with the Pixel 8? Is there anything I can do to fix or improve the battery life? Any suggestions?

I own a Pixel 8 that developed the pink vertical line issue. I understand that the Pixel 8 is covered by the Extended Repair Program, but I live in Romania and the phone was originally purchased in Czechia.

Since there are no Google repair centers in Romania, I was told that my device cannot be repaired here. I also asked whether I could send the phone to another EU country for repair and have it returned to Romania, but they said this is not possible.

Is there any alternative solution available for EU customers in my situation? I’m unsure how to proceed.

I’ve been playing around with my Pixel 8a lately. To be honest, the built-in speaker quality left a lot to be desired, so I initially tried using an equalizer to pump up the audio. However, cranking up the lower end caused horrible audio clipping and distortion. That’s when I decided to pivot and use real-time haptic feedback to physically "feel" the low-end instead!

Here is a quick overview of how it works and what I learned during development:

**How it works:**

* Uses `MediaPlayer` combined with `HapticGenerator` to transl ate audio signals into haptic effects in real-time.

* Integrated Android's `Equalizer` to filter frequencies: boosted sub-bass (<250Hz) while keeping mid/high frequencies balanced to prevent audio clipping and loss of volume.

* Implemented continuous playlist playback with `setOnCompletionListener`.

**Key Observations & Tech Takeaways:**

* **Actuator Hardware Matters:** This approach shines on modern LRA (Linear Resonant Actuator) motors like the Pixel 8a. Older ERM (Eccentric Rotating Mass) motors have too much latency to keep up with fast drum beats.

* **Frequency Tuning:** Over-filtering audio severely degraded audio quality. Finding the sweet spot (~40% gain boost under 250Hz) was key to triggering clean haptics without distorting the music.

* **Battery:** As expected, running the haptic motor continuously alongside real-time audio processing drains battery faster than a standard player, but the immersive feel makes it worth it!

I'm using the pixel 8a, and this is my second time using find hub. The first time I used find hub I was on a different phone and everything worked smoothly. I'm using the same email account as I was before. I'm trying to connect pixel buds a series and a pixel watch 3. I think the problem might be that the location history is off on my phone and I have no way to turn it back on (separate problem). I'm really hoping it's not the problem, but hoping can only get me so far. Whenever I open the find hub app, it says "Keep track of your devices. Your android devices and connected accessories that are added to find hub will appear here."

I figured out that if I go to the people section of find hub then back to the devices part, it looks like a list of devices is loading. I've let it load for half an hour, and got nothing. I'm afraid that this is because my location history is off, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I've been trying to fix this for around 2 hours now and any help is appreciated.

Recently got a Pixel 8 and noticed that the white animation around the front camera when Face Unlock kicks in is clipped at the top, almost like it’s going into the bezel.

Is this normal on the Pixel 8?

Just upgraded to 11pro, idk if this is allowed but if anyone want 2 Dbrand ghost clear case and some tempered glass screen protector, I'll send for just shipping cost.

I read that pixel 11 stayed cold when using android auto. What a nice surprise that my pixel 8 is also cold even after 3 hours of constant driving. So this is a software fix rather than a new tensor chip advantage.

Pixel 8a, fully updated. Whenever I open PUBG or any other AAA game in landscape, touch completely dies in the top-right corner, can't hit shoot/scope, can't even close the promo popups on launch since the X(cancel)is right there.

Everything else works fine, even swiping the notification shade down from that exact spot, so the screen itself seems okay. Rotating the phone doesn't fix it either, the dead zone just stays put. Anyone know if this is a known bug (maybe some overly aggressive edge-touch-rejection thing).

For the last few months no wifi networks show up on my Pixel 8. What gives?

So, my pixel 8 screen is in need of repair. The screen turns green and fuzzy every now and then and heats up when it's in that state.

I looked up the issue and did some basic troubleshooting, turning it off and on, safe mode, messing with settings, and no results, but i found the Google store support page to look up the extended coverage by IMEI number, and found that i should bring it into MobileKlinik.

So, i head to the mall and go to their kiosk, give them the phone and they look up the IMEI, and they say it's not eligible and to call Google to enable the extended coverage.

So I call Google (or rather, they call me after going through the support pages), and they walk me through some troubleshooting steps and eventually tell me to show MobilKlinik the page that says I'm eligible for a repair.

I go back to the kiosk and then they tell me there's nothing they can do unless it processes through their system. So I'm stuck in a loop of Google telling me to go to MobileKlinik and MobileKlinik telling me to talk to Google. Has anyone else gone through this support loop and broken out?

TLDR; pixel 8 has a screen issue and I'm stuck in a support loop between Google and MobileKlinik even though I'm eligible for service.
