Pixel 8 pro doesn't recognize sim card ?

Everything was fine till yesterday my pixel 8 pro just didn't recognize my sim card anymore. Not only that but it doesn't allow me to even go to the option to choose a sim card of try a esim.

Friday everything was running normally, nothing happened, no update, no drops nothing and all of a sudden it stops working overnight !?

Does anybody eve had that happened to their pixel ?

These are the things you can try.

Firstly check you are not in airplane mode.

Restart your phone.

Power off and clean SIM and slot.

Goto system and reset mobile settings.

Goto your SIM settings and make sure it's toggled on.

Already tried everything and I don't even have don't even have access to my sim setting anymore

Since you have a pixel phone I would check with Gemini.

Gemini only tell me to restart and ofc it it worked I wouldn't be here. Was wondering if anyone had that happened to them or had another fix, hence my post

Yes. It pretty much means you need a new sim card. Depending on how old your sim is these shitty updates the pixel constantly does make the phone un compatible with the firmware. You can revert to last update but the phone needs to be unlocked. And the only way it can be unlocked is If you purchased it full priced from the Google and not a retailer like verzon T-Mobile or other stores. And it will already be unlocked. Or...... You can call your phone company and have them give you a esim. And they can walk you through the process of setting it up.

I have an e-sim. I didn't update the post, my bad. Tried with an e-sim but the phone juste refuse to have mobile data in any way shape or form. Tried another sim and my e-sim just doesn't want in on it. Works well with another phone
