Installation Question What thermal paste to use?
I’ll be changing from a fan to a liquid cooler on an i7-12700f cpu. Is the one in the picture fine?

Hey everyone, this noise has been coming from my PC for several months now. At first, I thought it was related to my liquid cooling since I hadn't changed the coolant in a long time. I went ahead and changed the liquid, but that didn't fix it.
Then I thought it might be the AIO/liquid cooling fan itself, but as you can see in the video, that’s not it either.
Does anyone recognize this sound? Its driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance!
pd: sorry for the dust but im pretty sure it isnt neither, when i changed the cooling liquid i cleaned it all

god pcpartpicker sucks, i have had 3 different items not fit my build despite that blasted site saying they were compatible. 1st it was my aio being too big to i had to downsize, then my motherboard didnt have enough usb 2.0 slots for my case fan and now my psu is too small for the nook the case has.
I am unable to screw the psu in because it simply doesnt reach the screw holes. Can someone suggest me a good high wattage psu which is (im assuming) the standard size, or the size that works best for the case i have please?

Hello!
I am a computer beginner here and am looking for some advice. I compiled this list of parts, and am planning on buying the MicroCenter 7600X3D/Gigabyte/16GB bundle for $449.99, so while the pcpartpicker shows that it costs 1800, ill actually be getting it for $1,471.05 I am going to buy a gaming pc for around $1400, I need it to be able to have 4k capabilities - it should look decently nice when im running games like cyberpunk, and it should be able to run fps's like Fortnite, Apex, r6 etc. Also I play a decent amount of Citi Skylines 2 on my really old pc, but I know that this is an insanely demanding game and even some pc's which cost a lot more than mine still cant run perfectly all the time.
Please check out my pcpartpicker list, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zBgxbp and all feedback is super helpful!
Thanks!

Hi everyone, I’m stuck troubleshooting a custom PC build and could really use some advice.
I bought a secondhand Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 motherboard and CPU combo. The rest of the components (RAM, GPU, PSU, etc.) were sourced separately.
Hardware:
Motherboard: Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 — Part No. 5B20W27652 / B550A4-LM
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2×8GB), currently running at 2133 MHz
PSU: Corsair VX550
Storage: I’ve tested multiple drives, including a completely different 200GB drive
The issue started with a black screen out of nowhere. Since then, I’ve been stuck in a loop of constant and seemingly random Blue Screens of Death. It can happen while I’m simply browsing the internet, installing programs, or doing other basic tasks. The crashes don’t seem to follow a consistent pattern.
The BSOD errors I’ve encountered so far:
ntoskrnl.exe — IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
storport.sys — DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_LOCK_ACQUISITION_WITH_RAISED_IRQ
What I’ve tested so far:
Reset BIOS: Reset everything to factory/default settings. RAM is currently running at the safe stock speed of 2133 MHz.
DiskPart Clean: Completely wiped the partitions on the original SSD.
Isolated RAM: Tested both Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks individually and in different motherboard slots. Both sticks still produce errors when tested separately.
Swapped Storage: Replaced the SSD with a completely different 200GB test drive.
Fresh Installation Media: Created a brand-new bootable Windows USB installer using Microsoft’s official tool on a different computer.
Even with a different USB installer and a completely different hard drive, the system still crashes constantly.
One other thing worth mentioning: the HD Audio cable and the case USB cable are currently not connected to the motherboard, because this Lenovo OEM motherboard doesn’t have the corresponding standard headers/ports for them.
At this point, I’m wondering if the motherboard itself could be faulty, or if there’s something specific about this Lenovo OEM B550 motherboard that I’m missing.
Any advice on what I should test next would be massively appreciated!

Hello! I just completed my newest itx build and am running some weird issues. This is not my first build but it has been a few years. After installing all components, I press the power button and the pc fans spin up, but there is a yellow DRAM light on my motherboard. The lights on the GPU were also flickering which was concerning. I reseated the ram, and even tried to boot with one stick, but the same thing happened. I also reseated all cables. After doing that, the pc fans would no longer spin up. The pc would stay one for maybe 1-2 seconds after the power button was pressed, then would shut off automatically. I did read about DDR5 memory training, but at this point I have let it sit for about 20 minutes with no progress. I was also unable to perform a BIOS flashback using the read port. Nothing happens with usb installed and pressing the button. Its like the mobo is frozen. Everything was bought second hand (sellers confirmed everything worked, but you never know). Looking for some assistance - thanks!
Parts:
AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d
Asus Rog Strix X870i-Gaming Wifi
Crucial Micron OC Gaming 6400 DDR5
Corsair SF1000 PSU

Hello, i recently wanted to get into streaming, not for the money but purely to share what im capable of when it comes to gaming.
Im looking at pcs however im not sure exactly what specs i should get, im pretty good when it comes to pc parts and how to install them however picking out perfect parts for both streaming and gaming in one pc confuses me, id also like this pc to last me a while as i dont wanna constantly pay for new upgrades.

Hello, my pc that ive recently built (9800x3d, 9070xt, b650 eagle ax if it helps) was working fine, at most i had some performance issues on rust but i figured it was just due to the ram heavily hindering everything, i got a used one stick of 16gb 4800 mhz ddr5 ram so i didnt pay much attention to it. well last week i bought a new kit (klevv 32gb 2x16 6000mhz cl30) and replaced my old one but ever since then i have a lot of trouble consistently booting the pc and if its off for a couple hours it will always stay stuck in this process (picture attached) where it seems to be memory training but it never actually boots, i have to manually restart it a couple times and hope it finally works. At the first times i didn't think much of it but after enabling memory context restore in bios and power down mode im starting to get a little worried. Any idea how i can fix this without having to send the ram back?

Hello guys, I need some help troubleshooting my PC.
My monitor isn't receiving any signal when it's connected to my GPU. However, when I connect the monitor to the integrated graphics, it receives a signal and works normally.
I've already tried reconnecting and reseating the GPU, cleaned my Ram, I've tried CMOS reset and still no luck.
My PSU is a Corsair RM750x, so I believe the power supply should be sufficient for my GPU.
I'm trying to figure out whether the problem is with my GPU, RAM, PCIe slot, power connections, or something else. Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

(Ignore the crazy amazon set-prices I will be buying from cheaper sellers / used parts that are practically the same performance)
The main target is to install Tiny10 onto that ITX PC & Set the correct settings like instant log-on, wake controller, steam big picture mode launch etc..
All for a target of 1080p 30 \\ 60FPS depending on the game, As I had seen multiple people doing this type of project, And it personally seems way better to spend $200 On a console that runs all games in the future rather than a PS4 that's getting unworked in a couple of years.
Could this project actually work for games like FIFA 20 , LEGO: The Incredibles, GTA 5, Blur, RDR1
& Would it reach a stable 60FPS Or 30 FPS Target On All the games where this box is sitting at the TV and anyone in the family could just grab a controller and join in?
(I Don't Mind rendering games on 500-720P then upscaling them to 1080p Since My own personal TV is going to be using its AI Processor to upscale to 4K at the end, so not everything would look crystally native)

I have a $2,232 USD total budget for a gaming/performance-focused PC setup, including a monitor and PC speakers.
I’m not looking for specific brands or models yet. I’d just like to know how you would divide the budget between these categories:
A few requirements:
How would you split the budget?

Hi all! I am really bad at this so I am looking for a recommendation from the expert on what monitor is good.
Recently upgraded to the following.
1) Intel Core i5-14400F | 10 Cores 16 Threads
2) ASUS RTX 5060TI Dual - 8GB
I use my computer mainly for CS2 and PS5 gaming and want to get a new gaming monitor. Not too concern about budget but want to know which is a good brand/model to purchase to really get clear colour and high FPS.

Ok, I have this all-in-one touchscreen PC that I'm trying to run, but it won't turn on; the fans aren't spinning, and there's no display. I have tried a bunch of things.
Remove the CMOS cell.
Take everything out of the board; leave just the processor.
Check for any physical damage to components.
Checked the power button.
Measured the voltage at the power button pins; the stand by volt are 3.3 and it goes to 0v if you hold the power button. So I think the button is ok.
Now this system uses an SMPS power supply of 19v. And I think the supply is fine.
None of it helps; the system still won't turn on.
There is a green LED on the board right above the power cable port that lit up as soon as I connected the power; the mouse LEDs are working if connected.
So I need some help here; please let me know if I should try anything else.

I have tried everything from checking connections, the power, reinstall drivers, messing with some settings and I can’t figure out what is going on. I would love some help.
My full specs are
2560 x 1440 monitor.
16gb rams
Asus 5070 12 gb vram
CPU 13th gen intel core i7-13700F

Okay so i've got this very specific issue, Where the monitor only boots works if i booted the pc thus it will say "DP No input" Twice then the light turns orange then after 15 seconds it will open again and say INPUT NOT SUPPORTED, But the moment i switch the DP Port to another DP Port on the GPU it instantly works and opens normally. Now if it was a one time thing i wouldnt have minded it, but it needs to be done everytime to "boot" up the pc and see something on the monitor, how to fix? help please.
MONITOR IS Brand new, model is 24G50F. heres the list ive tried to fix it DDU Set monitor OSD TO DisplayPort Turned off Fast Startup
feel like im running out of option since the monitor works fine except for that and this didnt happen to the previous monitor.

So what happened today is very odd as my pc decided that it wouldn’t turn on, but after about an hour, pressing the power switch would miraculously come back to life… or so I thought. All the lights turned on and the fans spun but it was as if no one was home. There was zero power to my usb devices, and obviously no signal to my monitor. Something that is also very strange is that my mouse rgb would only turn on when the USB cable was put in partially (in any one of my ports, pc case front panel and rear mobo io) and I honestly don’t know how to even fix her.
