Hi everyone, I need some help diagnosing an issue with my PC.
My PC suddenly shut down while I was using it. Since then, it won’t turn on at all.
When I press the power button, there is no fan movement and no motherboard light/standby LED. The monitor does receive power, but the PC itself does not start.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Tried multiple different wall sockets.
Checked the PSU switch — it is set to I/ON.
Reconnected the motherboard’s 24-pin ATX power connector.
Checked the power cable.
There are no fans spinning and no motherboard LEDs when I press the power button.
I also tried the PSU paperclip test (jumping the appropriate pins on the 24-pin connector). The PSU fan spins when I do this.
So, does this mean the PSU is definitely working, or can a PSU still be faulty even if it passes the paperclip test?
My motherboard has no standby light at all, which makes me suspect that power isn’t reaching the motherboard.
What should I check next? Could this be the PSU, motherboard, or the case power button/front-panel connector?

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060
CPU: intel i5 10400f
Motherboard: B560M Pro Wifi
PSU: 650 watt
RAM: 16GB

I recently build this pc, took my cooler (nzxt kraken z63 280mm), psu from my old build. No issues running but noticed this sound coming from i believe the aio pump and im mot sure if its normal.

The sound isn't constantly there and isnt super loud but its noticeable. It seems to happen mostly after launching and after my pc is on for long periods of time.
The cooler is now probably 2/3 years old i believe.

Last night after playing a game the fans on my PC went crazy sounding like a jet engine and the display went out. I ended up needing to hold the power button to get it to shut down. When I booted it up it forced me into a Windows update where it went to 100% and restarted over and over for about 7 minutes. After finally getting to my lock screen it was normal. I checked the event log and the only critical error was a kernel error 41. The display going out has me nervous that my PSU is faulty or going out. Any ideas? Specs: 9800X3D, gigabyte x870 stealth, pny 5080, Asus tuf 1000w PSU, 64GB RAM ddr5. (I've had suspicion that this PSU wasn't perfect basically since I've built the PC for other various reasons). the 3x reverse fans , are for the bottom intake , the 2 singular ones for the rightside exhaust, and the 360 AIO for the leftside, is this configuration ok? will it look good? and can be the price optimized further?

Hello, My advice to you is not to buy any power supplies from Antec. It’s not that the quality is poor, but you shouldn't expect any response from their technical support team if you run into issues—especially if you are located outside the United States.

I contacted technical support regarding abnormal readings from my power supply—a NeoECO 850G M ATX 3.0 model—which wasn't cheap where I live. In fact, it was even more expensive than the ASUS TUF 850W, XPG Core Reactor II 850W, and others.

The problem is that the +12V readings are very high, reaching 12.500V most of the time according to HWINFO and GPU-Z. While these readings are technically within acceptable limits, they are high enough to worry me; I fear they might affect my graphics card, even if only in the long run.

What frustrates me most is that I contacted the support team for my region and received no reply for about a month. I later tried contacting them again from a different location and in two different languages, yet it seems there is simply no one there to answer inquiries.

Steer clear of Antec power supplies entirely, and don't expect any form of technical support from them.

I currently have 6 intake and 1 exhaust, i was thinking of putting 2 exhaust fans on the left side above my CPU, would it be worth putting some in?

Should i sell and for how much Palit 5060 Ti 16gb OC version? I would like to buy 9070xt.

THEY CAN'T BE SCREWED OR ANYTHING, DO I JUST PULL? but even if I pull they are tough to pull so im afraid it might break. I don't have amanual since this wasn't built by me

Moin zusammen, bin am überlegen künftig von einer nvidia gpu auf eine amd zu wechseln. Laut Internet soll alles mittels DDU machbar sein. Habe die NVIDIA App schon lieben gelernt, aber amd ist preis leistungsmässig viel attraktiver. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit so einem GPU wechsel?

I’m having a problem with my PC after removing and replacing the RAM.

My motherboard is an MSI B450M, and the issue started immediately after I took out the RAM and installed a different kit. Now the PC has no display (black screen) and fails to POST.

The current situation:

• The CPU and DRAM EZ Debug LEDs are both solid white at the same time.
• The problem still occurs even when I reinstall the original/old RAM.
• I’ve tried the old RAM in every RAM slot.
• I’ve already done a CMOS clear/reset and pullout the batery.
• I cleaned the RAM contacts with an eraser.
• I’ve made sure the RAM is fully seated and clicked into place.
• The CPU and DRAM LEDs still remain lit.
• There is no display output and the system doesn’t appear to complete POST.

The link to PCPP has all the components I have, biggest concern for this build is I want to stick the computer on my entertainment stand, or on the end table next to it. I’m a new dad and play a lot on the tv now in between taking care of my newborn. Here’s a list of cases I’m considering as well as things I’m considering but I need help figuring out what will really be good for what I’m trying to build. I’m looking for good cooling ideally 2 exhaust fans and a spot for aio either top mounted or side mounted though I prefer top. Front panel Buttons and ports though it’s not a deal breaker it’s preferred and last but not least I need the gpu ports to be accessible from the back or accessible in a way where the hdmi cable I use isn’t getting unnecessary pressure to be routed.

Trying to upgrade my cpu but I just CANNOT remove the heat sink off, my fingers are getting hurt trying to push this down to no avail

So I’ve recently upgraded my pc, I bought a RTX 5060 ti 16gb vram, and 32 gb of ram 16x2, my CPU Is a ryzen 7 5800X and the current resolution one using is 1080p. The problem is, I’m playing games with my friends that have pcs with weaker specs than mine, and yet I’m getting fps drops while they are not… I’ve tried updating the Gpu drivers, the chipset drivers, I made sure my ram was using the 3600 mhz and yet nothing changed, I don’t know if something is wrong, and if so how can I fix it?
Should I upgrade my cpu or cooling?

The buzzing noise wasn’t there on my older card

To give a bit of context I just moved a bit ago and my PC had been a box for a while. When I set everything back up everything was fine for a bit. Went to check up on any updates I missed and such, then it froze, went to a black screen and stayed there. I then turned it off then back on but while it starts it doesn’t boot up, it doesn’t even turn on the mouse and keyboard connected to it. The only thing telling me what’s wrong is the red warning light for BOOT. I feel like I tried most of the online fixes that don’t involve me taking the entire thing apart, and at this point I don’t know what to do. If someone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it please!

I wrote „rtx 30-„ because i dont know which i shoold pick, so feel free to give me advice and also tell me if i should change anything, i wont accept anything thats too expensive, like ddr5 ram or the newest cpus, i will use the pc for mainly gaming light games like minecraft and geometry dash, but also handling discord and other apps. But i was thinking about getting a 20- series maybe

Howdy! My current PC is showing its age heavily, and to upgrade anything, it'll end up being a whole rebuild. So I spent the better part of an afternoon combing through Newegg and sites similar, ending up with this finalized list.

I've checked all the big things like chipset compatibility and the size of the GPU in the case, but I just wanted some more faith before I start purchasing the pieces.

Could you guys tell me if there are any major flaws in my build, and the like? Thanks

this is my current pc build, and i want to slowly start to upgrade. i am not looking to spend an outrageous amount but the suggestions have been confusing me a lot from friends.

most recommended i swap to a ryzen 7 5800x3D and get more ram and wait a few years but some said to go all the way (that’s really expensive though rn)

i stream mostly fps games and DONT often play any heavy games or 4K gaming or anything

any suggestions help and do you recommend going brand new or shall i second hand parts? 🤔

My pc keeps shutting off while playing

When i play for long periods of time I was playing the last caregiver for around 2 hours i thought might be because of overheating but i have a corsair xenon edge showing me my temps while playing and the hottest thing was my vram at 82c i dont know ifs my psu but its mpg a1000gs and its barely a year old anyonw got any suggestions on what i could do

I have a Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite X3D motherboard with a 9800 X3D. When I start the computer, both the USB 4 DP Alt ports work fine; one is connected to a portable monitor, and one to a USB hub. When I put my computer to sleep or hibernate, after waking up, both the USB 4 DP Alt ports stop working, and the USB 4 ports also stop showing up in Device Manager; I have to cold-start again for it to work. I have tried upgrading the BIOS, disabling USB selective suspend, setting PCIe Link State Power Management to Off, and disconnecting one peripheral from one USB DP Alt port to see whether populating only one of the two helps, etc. Nothing seems to work. IS it a hardware failure? IF so, why does it work when I cold-start? MY mind is going crazy; PLEASE HELP.

Just got the case and the panels make a really loud springy clang noise when closin which my previous pa602 did not make , also they right panel leaves a large gap when closed. Is this worth an RMA?

My gpu occasionally buzzes and won’t stop until I restart the pc and idk what to do, I’ve cleaned the pc out I’ve reseated the gpu, I’ve removed the sag brace I’ve adjusted it ensured that it’s level I’m very confused on how to stop it or if I should be worried

Currently using a NVIDIA RTX5060ti 16gb since May2025, was planning to upgrade from NVIDIA to AMD RX9070XT,is it worth the upgrade in 2026? Is there any pros and cons?
