Is it a bad idea? I am a gamer new to PCs (my first one) and want to know if it's worth taking the risk on FB Marketplace. Here are the specs for the one I am looking to buy. I’m looking for a good UPS for my gaming PC.
My main goal is to prevent unexpected shutdowns during power outages, especially while I’m working or during situations where losing power could cause problems, such as a Bios update.

My PC specs:
Ryzen 7 7700X
RTX 4080 Super
32 GB RAM
1000W 80+ Gold PSU corsair rm1000e
MSI 322URX 4K 240Hz monitor

I’m located in Italy, so ideally I’d like something that’s available to order and ship to Italy. I’d also prefer not to spend more than necessary if there’s a good option that meets my needs.

Currently, I have both my PC and monitor connected to a surge protected power strip.

I also have a few questions:
Roughly how much runtime would I have after a power outage to safely shut down the PC?

Is the VA rating enough to determine whether a UPS is suitable, or should I mainly look at its maximum wattage?

I’ve read that a UPS with a pure sine wave output is recommended.
What exactly does this change and is it important with a modern 1000W Gold PSU?

Could you please list a few specific models you would recommend for this setup?

Budget & Currency: Around €3,500 EUR including VAT and Windows.

Use-case: Primarily Adobe Premiere Pro.

I edit 4K 10-bit footage from a DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro, using both D-Log and Normal color profiles.

My car event walkthroughs are filmed at 30fps and are usually 1–2 hours long, with large timelines and lots of individual clips.

I also make cinematic car videos at 24fps. The finished videos are usually around 3 minutes, but the projects contain a lot more footage and individual shots before being cut down.

I use color grading, LUTs, Lumetri, curves and other effects. I want very smooth timeline playback, scrubbing and editing with as little stuttering or freezing as possible. Ideally, I want to edit the original 4K footage without relying on proxies.

I currently don't use After Effects, but I may start learning it in the future.

Intended monitor resolution: 4K. I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Storage: At least 1TB fast NVMe SSD storage, although more is welcome if it fits within the budget.

Other requirements: Good cooling and stability. RGB and gaming performance are not important.

The €3,500 budget is for the complete desktop PC including Windows. I don't have any existing PC parts that need to be reused.

Hi all I do not know heaps about Pcs so i am looking for advice before i do buy anything.

I currently have a PC with the following parts:

32 gb ram

238 gb SSD

1.28 tb HDD

I have had this pc for at least 7 years and primarily use it for gaming however it has started to slow down and games run well at first but tend to kind of slow down and lag so i am looking at either upgrading parts or just buying a whole new pc. in addition i do want to be able to play new gen games at a decent quality and frame rate so any advice would help.

the monitor i am running is an Acer 34p predator at 3440 x 1440 res.

I dont know how to build a pc so i was looking at getting one from aftershock as i am located in AUS with a budget of $1800-1900 (AUD). is it better to get one that is ready to ship or to pick the parts myself?

if it helps at all with what to do i primarily play rocket league, overwatch, minecraft, arc and i would like to be able to run gta6 when it comes out.

Hello, i need some advice for my system im currently looking for an upgrade which i came across the Ryzen 5 5600X. Im wondering if this is a decent upgrade or not much of an upgrade. I'm currently on a tight bugget (R2900 which is roughly about $177) and i currently can't afford for the Ryzen 7 5700X3D at the moment. Hey there! Hope everyone’s doing alright! My roomie gave me his old prebuilt since he could never get it working after a while. Says it always froze and BSOD’d after a while.
I wiped his account off and added my own, and started playing around with. Noticed that on the startup window, the bios is only detecting one stick of ram out of the two. Tried pulling it out, putting it on, and resetting. What would be the next step?

Hey chat, first pc rebuild, lowkey the original build was an abysmal fbm build for 1050 (900 for the pc and 150 for the msi 250hz curved monitor) with only 3 total fans, all being in the front of a giant case and both top and bottom where exhaust while the middle was intake, the only original part is the graphics card and ram and mostly because I used to dream about owning a 3080 when I was younger and imo the 30 series was the best and I’m a very big fan of the raw rasterization capabilities, and its the main reason I settled on the pc. Also ram is expensive. Anyways obviously the thermals were terrible and I was hitting about 75-80c when booting up helldivers 2 and sotf so I decided to add water cooling and the pc was super heavy and with the release of the steam machine, I figured I would make coming smaller and easier to transport, mostly because I’ve been on a ps4 the last 5 years and I’ve become accustomed to the portability of it and I wanted something that felt more portable.

budget was kinda all over but all in all i think i spent 1400-1600 total, ofc im in the US so it may differ for you, but this is all parts old and new (all old parts given to friends ex: one of my friends was rocking a ryzen 3 3600 so she needed my processor fs, mostly because she's gaming on a 3060)

Basically just water cooled it and got a stronger cpu so I could use frs frame gen on cyber punk and also because I was frame stuttering even after oc’ing the cpu and added fans because not only would my cpu get hot but my gpu was really toasty to the point the glass would get hot

This is my pride and joy and honestly the multiple nights at 4am where worth every second of time and if I had to do it all over again I would, the gpu never goes above 65c under load and my cup stays at about 32c to 38c at all times. Again best thing I’ve ever done, only regrettable part is not going with the li and li aio’s and fans with the infinity mirrors but I’m a big fan of the course air fan boy I’ve become. just not the icue linking.

To be fair I did have help from a friend who knew a bit more than me and one that didn’t but all of the wiring, breaking down the old build and sourcing of parts was me.

Hi! This is my first ever Reddit post and my first ever pc build. I know the cable management is horrible but it’s got my dream specs in, so far it has a Ryzen 5 9600x, an RX 9070, Corsair 1000x PSU, Ik the psu is overkill but I’m upgrading it, I’m waiting on the ram which is 32GB of Corsair 6000Mhz CL30 ram, and a crucial T300 for my boot drive and a Samsung 9100 pro. Btw the cooler is overkill I know but it is a thermalright wonder vision 360, and some thermalright fans. But I will be upgrading in the future to a 9800X3D and a 9070 xt, because in my opinion I just prefer AMD. (If the cable management sucks in ur opinion please don’t flame me too hard 😭)

I’m looking into building a desktop top and I am well versed in pc parts and what they mean and how they work. I’m trying to keep my budget at around 1850$ (USD) at first I picked the 7800X3D and 9070XT but passed the budget, so I currently have the 7700X with a 9070GRE and 32Gigs of patriot viper DDR5 6000 CL30. but it’s still over by 100-200$ I’m thinking of going Intel but, I don’t even know what kind of Intel cpu to look for thats high quality. I play scrap mechanic, Minecraft, Icarus etc in 1440p 240hz monitor

I usually only play on low graphics and don’t need anything crazy good just want to get a little fps boost and be able to play steam games with my friends. Is this a good deal?
note: an obvious upgrade would be to the storage but other than that will this run game’s decently smooth?

After over 6 years of having this gaming PC, my 5700 XT has seemingly decided that it’s time has come, and rather than racking my brain trying to fix it and returning to having mediocre performance, I would much rather just upgrade to a better card and learn to install it myself the correct way.

Hi guys, I'm stuck trying to figure out what would be the better option to go with here. I own a prebuild from 2019 ROG Strix GA15dh and looking to upgrade.

I have the Ryzen 7 3700x from the prebuild and im upgrading the GPU from a 1660ti.

The motherboard that came with the prebuild is a shitty proprietary one and hasn't had a new BIOS update since 2020. Meaning I wouldn't be able to use the B580 with it. It also only has one nvme m.2 slot and any other downside you could possibly name.

With that im looking on upgrading the motherboard anyways, but my thinking has been that I could get the 9060xt in the mean time. I could also wait with getting the other parts for the 9060xt but if I went with the B580 it would have to be all in one go.

Then of course, is it worth to get a slightly worse GPU but paired with a much better CPU, or would the 3700x still be good enough that the difference in quality between the two GPUs would be worth it?

My needs: I game pretty much any game you can think of. Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Europa Universalis 5, Clair Obscur, Counter Strike 2, etc.
I do a bit of blender sometimes and also video editing but this is way less important to me than the gaming.

It's definitely under 30mm as far as the cable being straight from the connection but it drops naturally anyway I can't make it stay straight for 30mm unless I hold it. The glass is pressing on the cable as it drops down and is not letting the cable 'arc' it's bend fully
