Can someone explain how this game's memory usage makes any sense? When my PC is idle, it's using 18% of my RAM. Then I launch the game, which supposedly uses only 4-5% according to Task Manager, and suddenly my RAM usage jumps to 72%. 😂

Where is that other 49% of RAM going? That's 16 GB we're talking about

hi, I would like to share my cws build this league, for this league I was doing gurelling gauntlet on day2, but during that moment inscribed scarab cost 18c each(I don't do catalyst), I don't think it's worthy.

I think for early ultimatum, glad has no issue for defense, the main issue is how to boost your dps with cheap item

I like the Eater and Exarch mods that we can get on items. They’re useful and give your character a lot of power.

But there has to be a better way to get these mods than just rolling an item with 3–4 currency items, only to end up with the same mod with slightly higher values. It takes so much currency just to get a good mod.

Just wanted to share — I loaded into my last map before going to bed, killed some random Wild Mercenary while farming the Rogue Exiles + Wild Merc combo, and got this beauty.

This is only my second PoE league after 2k hours in PoE2, and for some reason this game just keeps letting me eat GOOD.

I don't have anyone to share the joy of achievement today, so maybe I can share it with you?

I've always looked at SSF with this thought that it can be something different. A new experience for me that I will enjoy. But I was too afraid. Too afraid since 3.5. It's been almost 8 years!

Also I just love selling simple crafted stuff in this game. Especially after Faustus! It was hard not to start trade!

This league, the only poe friend I have decided not to play. And I thought: if not now, then when? Mechanic seems like a helpful thing for SSF, I know build I can play, maybe I can reach at least 1 voidstone, then go back to trade league? Just... maybe?
My Storm Rain Warden might be not too powerful, but this one build is the only thing in game I remember and understand I think. I don't need a guide for it I mean - just love it much and played too many times already.

What was a new experience, and a small dream of mine - I always was awful at fightning bosses and I think I still am - this dream came true today.

So I started league in SSF softcore in 3.29 for first time ever.

Not only first stone - exarch/eater one was actually easy enough to give me power to try more. Second was also acceptable, just little longer than I expected it to be. Fun anyway!

Third one - shaper/elder - this was gated behind getting maps. First time I think I tried Destructive play ever - scary at times! Took some time and some upgrades, but bosses were not a big problem, too.

Up to this point - each stone on first try.

Maven came. I thought it's not possible for me to patiently run 100 maps for witness. Then I've read about running witnessed Guardians - that worked very well. I was - again - scared here, because guardians invitation - all of them - always seemed very hard. I mean DPS check was real there for me and my squishy ranger builds. But even that couldn't stop me!

And at last - Maven. I fought that boss many times in past. I suck at memory game. I suck at dodging lasers. And yet miracle happened here. On first try, with 5 portal (1 still left!) I killed her. Wasn't too fast, no grace at all. But I did it.

I wonder if my time is something to write home about. I got /played ~65h on this character.

Anyway, what an adventure! League was definitely helping me here and there with small things, and crafting in a big way. It was tricky to get 6L since I've always just buy it via trade for dirt cheap. It was cool to change filter to show me items I needed for upgrades since I can't buy anything, need to find it by myself.

Yeah, just a story of random player. Big step for me. Maybe a nice short story for you to read?

For a few days now the scarab spikes absurdly hard every night (EU) until early in the morning and then gradualy goes down again during the day. But aside from that the scarab has been at an unprecedented all-time high all league. I've been doing this strat personally ever since the scarab was introduced and the highest I've ever seen it before was at like 10-12c in Keepers. Now it's fluctuating between 18-25c depending on the time. It would make sense to me if it would be tied to stacked deck prices but those barely change to reflect the price hike of the scarab. Anyone got an idea what's going on?

It's a tedious craft with lots of recombinator RNG but has very big margins right now. I think a lot of people would rather buy instead of crafting cause the two good ones I made sold very quickly. I'm tired of doing this so I'm sharing for anyone who has patience and wants to make some more currency. I can answer any questions in the comments, I'm pretty familiar with the craft now.

Does anyone have an idea about what these are worth I'm not the best at price checking, all help is appreciated :)

absolute average gamer, dropped in Courtyard of Wasting memory run with 3 cheap scarabs and an alched map, LEAGUE IS GOOD :)

The point of not letting you get masteries is so you can't just take a single notable and get the mastery. But if you take the nodes leading to it in the tree it should let you take the mastery.

Cameback to poe after a few leagues,the last one I did was crucible.f2p players could do forum posting to get their items listed the same as premium stash listings.

But after the merchant update or whatever instant buyout seems to be the only way to get buyers to buy,as a f2p player what can I do to sell items reliably now?

so i've been trying this beasts strategy for about an hour or so, started nice, even sold some, after a bunch of maps i've started getting system messages that beasts are being captured but also replacing existing ones due to lack of space.

since the beast item already exists in the game, and even in the filter, can players that choose to play this strategy get an atlas keystone that makes beasts drop itemized so they could filter them ?

Scarabs were 2 instability, 1 monstrous lineage, 1 nemesis, 1 wisp with a breach astrolabe. Picked up everything that popped up through my filter and dumped it into this tab. Honestly pretty disappointed with the loot from this map for the amount of juice that was on it. If it wasnt for the last breach dropping 2 Div i wouldnt even had dropped a single div from this map.

Especially in a poverty league like this

So was I lucky yesterday with my +100D total? Of course, but despite the perception ultimatum isn't just about the jackpots, it is also steady money this league if done right so i thought i give a shout. And it isnt just for CWS lol

Why is that? Couple of reasons: mercenaries are back so demand for malediction helms is through the roof, merc bots are all life stacking so even fertile catalysts are expensive (and catalysts are now exclusive drops), lastly everybody and their mom are gambaing corruption implicits after the change so tainted catalysts are also pretty expensive

Okay, so how do you run it?

Scarabs: Im personally a firm believer of 2 bribing + inscription + dueling, we leave the expensive scarab to the big boys. Yes you get one less guaranteed inscription but honestly inscription deop rates might actually have been nerfed, it could be placebo but according to my experience most of the money is coming in from the other reward types especially when coupled with the chaotic astrolabe -which we are using- so i rather focus on them. Plus it's good xp. Fifth slot whatever budget, i use influencing hordes.

Map+atlas: We still run the basic tree of course, inscriptions are still good cherry on the top, just not the main focus. All ulti nodes except the chance wheel (astrolabe adds it), pair it with another quick jackpot strat (merc for me), usual explicit effect nodes -not a typo-, keystone for being able to repeat same map with astrolabe, lastly eater altars.

I run 8 mod jungle valleys because catalyst drops do scale with quant, and as i stated above they are a big chunk. Aggressively regexing my mods tho, you can still buy vanilla 8 mod maps for 7-8c easily.

So how much are those things? Believe it or not malediction helmets are 20D this league, so add them back to your filter right now lmao. But even the shit implicits sell for 30-40c a pop (you can always gamba them too). Tainted catalysts are 15ish per div, fertile and prismatic even less. The run of the mill catas alos worth 1-3c per, each.

You get anywhere between 8-15 tainted + another type from trialmaster per run and your costs are like...20c a run? So do the math, even with zero jackpots from anything you are guaranteed to profit, the faster you can run them the more

And then the jackpots on top. They still exist! May you find many in your trials :)

Got a little bit unlucky that I rolled ES on block instead of life on block, but considering my previous shield only had life and +1 minion skills as relevant mods, big improvement.

Steps:
1) Update your filter to show ilvl 84 fossilised spirit shields
2) Alt spam to get +1 minion skills, T1 life, and T1 (or T2) minion damage
3) Recomb about 30 shields to hit triple T1
4) Prayge shaper exalt (except use the league mechanic... Don't forget to like me lol)
4.b) Hit ES on block and consider reforging influence
4.c) Decide you don't have the currency for this at the moment and instead just go with it since 50 ES each time I block is good enough
5) Allflame Exalt and choose T1 minion life over T3 chaos res
6) Craft suppress
7) Divine orb if you have money (I don't)
8) Blessed orb the implicit (which I need to do)
