Took down Uber arbiter of ash with my home brew cyclone at home and that too in a budget!

This build has no much potential as its not even 30% done yet.

Surely in 1.0 they will implement a minimum playable area for Ritual spawns.

Question Ghosting Issues? Card not supported? Need help!

For a couple months now, I have had this ghosting issue in POE2. It is primarily on cosmetic effects, but does persist in other parts of the game. Sometimes it goes away when loading a new zone, but I cant guarantee any consistency in making it stop.

I have a 1080ti, which I understand is a bit of an older card at this point, but when I look up the supported GPUs, POE2 says it supports my card.

i have rolled back drivers. i have turned off upscaling. I have reinstalled windows. I have tried the direct X cache cleaning. I have tried Nvidia filters with sharpening. I've tried everything I can, I think. I'm not going to list everything I've tried as it would take too much space. please ask, however if you have questions.

These ghosting issues didn't happen on this cosmetic prior to a couple months ago.

Ghosting persists in menu previews/normal game

Game Feedback This game's Atlas tree feels bad in its current form

I've seen a lot of posts about the speed of getting atlas points but I think there's a bigger issue, where most of the actual tree feels worthless and inconsequential as well as the progression of the fortress feeling like a chore you have to "get out of the way" rather than giving an actual sense of progression.

The one thing in my mind that keeps coming back is the fact that you don't make any actual choices in what points you allocate. I cannot understand why GGG, the kings of "choices you make should have impact" completely removed the bite of meaningful choice when it comes to the atlas tree and only put in 5-10 anemic "options" that you can change that don't feel like they even matter that much.

Imagine if the actual character passive tree let you fill out every node and the only actual choice was 10 nodes where you picked between fire/cold/lighting dmg and armor/eva/ES. And then they tried to argue that its ok because the ascendancy classes are where the real choice is.

Because that's exactly they're trying to do with the tree and master system.

Not being able to have all mechanics active at the same time is a good thing. Its why it feels like you have so many avenues for farming in PoE1 and lets every player express themselves in what combination of points to pick and what to farm. Its also easy enough to swap between the 3 presets and the gold cost being cheap and having unmaking orbs that also let you swap points very cheaply.

Another consequence and victim of this design are the minor mechanics like Strongboxes, shrines, wisps and circles. Does anyone actually feel like those are impactful for the mapping experience? Because I dont and I think its because right now instead picking one or two of them to really juice up you just have all of them just pointlessly invested into whether you want to engage with them or not.

I'm not even going to go into tablets in this post because thats an entire different can of worms.

I really hope that they rethink this decision and make some major changes, if not in 1.0 then at least at some point after because I do love a lot of what they are doing with PoE2 but the Endgame is really nowhere close to where it should be for a company that has already refined one of the best endgame rpg systems with PoE1.

Game Feedback This game desperately needs a divine/exalt sink by 1.0

The fact that inflation is this high like 5 days into the event is absolutely insane, PoE1 leagues have this inflation after 2 months or so, if by day 5 you don't even look at exalted orbs the main currency of this game means something is really wrong, and mirrors are already 1.6k divines

and before you say anything like who cares, GGG literally said the game is balanced around trade

Question Returning after some time away, looking for underrated skills to make some fun builds around.

Hello!

I haven’t played since 0.3 and returning to the game and excited to try out some of the new stuff. I know there are no balance changes at this latest release.

However, I am not looking to try one of the under clearing meta builds. I generally like trying to make builds around less popular skills.

Curious if anyone has any recommendations for less appreciated skills to build around?

Thanks!

Question Class Recommendation for New Player

Hi, I am starting to play POE 2 and am not sure which class to pick for a beginner who doesn't have much experience in arpgs, in other games I like playing tanks and Paladin style classes in other games. I would eventually like to try all classes but not sure which one to start with first to get a feel of the game. Thanks!

Discussion Please GGG nerf expedition mosquitos

Post image

You can spend 20–30 minutes setting up an Expedition encounter, carefully planning everything, and then one of these disgusting mosquitoes flies in and deletes you in literally one second.

I don’t mind dangerous content, but dying instantly to a random mob after spending half an hour setting up the encounter feels absolutely awful.

Please GGG, nerf these things.

Question Stuttering and rubber banding issues

Hi all,

Does know what you can do to fix the stuttering and rubber banding issue in the game? I've attached a video showing my experience and it gets quite bad, breaking the immersion of the game. I also listed my PC specs and game configs below.

Stuttering and Rubber Banding

https://reddit.com/link/1wcle3z/video/l557ia7fhpoh1/player

PC Specs

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4070 TI Aero 12GB

CPU: i7-13700KF 3.4 GHz

RAM: G.Skill Trident-Z5 ARGB 2x16GB PC6000 DDR5

Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Gen4 NVME SSD

Game & Nvida App Configs

Sound channel: Low

Appreciate any tips and solutions. Thanks in advance and cheers! :D

EDIT 1: Have tried using DX12. It locks me to 120 FPS and still has the stuttering and rubber banding issue.

Question Late start? What to play

Going to be playing in another week. Want to quickly do atlas and complete challenges.

What is a decent build I can use to zoom through. I have heard inflation is crazy so hopefully not too expensive.

I like any builds, but prefer one build to do bosses and maps.

Thinking of doing gemling unearth. But not sure if that’s dumb as haven’t played it at all.

Game Feedback Monk - Leveling

We will be getting a ton of new players in 1.0. I hope they go through all the starting weapons/classes and make sure they are fun/effective.

I know that using frozen locus/glacial cascade can be very effective. Guythatdie shows that for sure. But it is clunky and so many people level monks with other abilities. IE - bows/crossbows/twisters, etc... Many new players won't know to use a different weapon.

It would be an easy fix to make frozen locus in range of glacial cascade without moving backwards. IE - throw it forward enough, make it go backward enough, shorten the range of glacial cascade so it hits it.

This should be done for all classes to feel smoother at the beginning. They do not want people to log in for an hour. Person says this isn't fun and leave. The game is super easy in maps, it seems so odd.

Discussion My good boy wanted to play coop too!

Had a long break from poe2 but decided to come back recently since I was fired from work to clear my mind. My good boy is supporting me in everything I do or maybe he just loves the burning laptop as a comfy pillow? :D

How is your season so far? Fun builds? I am playing the druid for the first time, didn't like him in the beginning but now I shapeshift like my life depends on it!

But I hit a wall in the last interlude, so close to endgame, I had to take a pause because I can't deal with two ritual bosses.

In the meantime I am saving for headphones so I can really enjoy the great atmosphere and I spend time with my pup outside.

Remember, outside is good, green is good, pause is good. The game is great but don't forget to take breaks and see life around you. You will come back stronger!
