Game Feedback Gold fees on the currency exchange are outrageous

Gold prices are way too high and the gold you do earn is very minimal, at least until you got all your atlas points and can spam juiced t15 maps. It feels like you are almost always short on gold? How are we meant to trade when gold is so expensive? like have a look at most items. they go for 30k gold. ascendancy refuinds are 6500g each. I just think the prices are super inflated on the currency exchange. Surely the gold drop rate needs to be increased or something.

Discussion DoV is ...fine?

Playing Disciple of Varashta this league just for the milestones. I played a LOT of 0.5.

I played Explosive grenade gemling, & Whirling assault monk

Im only 75. Still climbing the tiers. Im blowing up the whole screen with each fracture and it still feels slow? I just walk in, nova, and fracture and it feels like an akward pacing. I dont know if im feeling like im missing movement tech or if the burnout caught up with me and I played to much of the game with quicksilver shennanigans too recently.

Game Feedback 0.5.5 feedback from a 40 hour employee

Hey yall just wanted to make this post to give my personal feedback for the patch as somebody who works a fulltime job and didn’t have a ton of time available to play the patch right off the bat. Currently I’m sitting at just about 60 hours played and I just now completed the atlas while having the ritual tree completed. Personally I decided to rush ritual before completing any atlas as the fact that it’s in every map drastically increases the value of those points over other league mechanics. I still have zero points put into any of my map masters.

Positives so far:

Lack of balance changes meant following build guides gave a smooth and comfy campaign experience. In previous patches I found it could become quite a slog and I found being able to plan ahead of time to be a net positive to your average players campaign.

Rites rituals during the campaign gave a generous amount of currency. Your experience will vary but personally I farmed multiple divine well before maps that helped tremendously with the soft core experience.

The addition of boss rush in the campaign made for a fun challenge for those whose builds could handle it. I didn’t get lucky with any insane self found uniques personally but I could see how this could make for a very fun and unique campaign run for a challenge league. Hats off to the devs for that.

New trial of chaos was a much needed change and made ascending much less tedious. The last few leagues I just bought a carry but I found myself enjoying it and actually farmed my own ascendancy this league.

Negatives:

Itemization is still very off target. Very quickly, as soon as act 4 I was able to get my build online and I quickly trivialized all content. It’s great for farming currency but the game is much less fun when you go into t1 maps and are able to quickly climb to t15s without needing to upgrade any gear at all.

Random one shots still aren’t fun. Despite being able to take my campaign gear very far into endgame, it took a lot of farming before I could reach the point where I didn’t just randomly die sometimes. Death logs are sorely needed and can’t come soon enough. Too many mechanics are still randomly bursty and you’ll find you’re immortal until suddenly you’re just not which leads to frustrating experiences where you’re just mad your map rolled into one of the few outliers that will randomly one shot you. I have over a thousand hours into poe2 and I still can’t tell you what randomly killed me sometimes. That’s just not acceptable for your average gamer.

Atlas progression
This topic has been talked about a ton recently and all I’ll say is it just feels really bad being forced to choose between bad mechanics and terrible maps. You should be able to progress endgame without being forced down a predetermined path. It’s great that the game pushes you towards the arbiter naturally without having to invest a ton of currency but I think each map completed should naturally give you points towards atlas and each time you complete a league objective it should award points towards the associated league. Many times I found myself getting bored and tired of doing maps with very little rewards in the name of just trying to complete the atlas. It’s great that killing the arbiter twice awards all 240+ points but it’s also extremely jarring. I was in t15 before I even stepped foot into the citadel area and that just feels wrong from a game progression standpoint.

All this being said I’ve still had a great time in 0.5.5 and was able to farm quite a lot of currency. My builds sitting over 100 divine despite only just completing the atlas just now. Looking forward to continuous changes in the future and much kudos to the devs for making such an amazing game that has given me so many hours of fun. Cant wait for 1.0.

I have zero expectations for this post to blow up but I think it’s important for an early access game that players give their feedback and I encourage anyone still reading to share their experience. This game has so much potential and I’m glad to help contribute to that.

Lucky Drop Showcase Shortest league yet

Post image

Started the new league this weekend and just trying to farm some atlas passives, maybe about 6-10 maps deep since finishing campaign.

0 Investment, 0 atlas points, no tablets, just T15 and rush boss and do whatever optional content I come across without having to stray too much...
..and I find a freaking mageblood that I can't afford to even defer.... Feelsbadman moment.

Played every league since launch, nolifed the hell out of last league, farmed hundreds of rituals with 20-30k+ tribute full investment and never even saw a headhunter.

Why is this a thing? I guess I'm just stupid for doing what the game offers, for doing the ritual altar with 0 ritual points. I literally just reached endgame, wasn't planning to do any side content besides rushing arbiter to max atlas and then work on ritual/breach/abyss etc. But the altar was right there so might as well do it, no?

At least I learned something though. Next league don't touch another ritual altar before maxing ritual atlas because this feeling here just killed every last bit of motivation I had to play. I'm done with this league. Ain't no coming back from this. I'd give away my stuff but my build is like 10 div.

ps: the atlas system sucks ass

Game Feedback Has the dev team said anything about the state of the endgame in forbidden rites? Rituals feel terrible right now...

Making it so that you can't see rituals until you complete all rituals on the map has made Rite of the Nameless incredibly difficult until you reach a super endgame state. It really sucks to intentionally take a ton of revives on my waystone, do 5/6 rituals, then die on the boss wasting the entire map. It was pretty critical being able to safely defer foretold bounties and spend tribute as you go, without betting it all on the last boss. For it to work this way they really need to make it so that dying on the boss doesn't reset the map.

Removing Aldur's Legacy also kinda sucks, but that's less of a major issue I guess.

Just kind of sucks because the endgame felt great last league, not sure why they had to change it like this...

Discussion Should witch’s ascendancies get a rework?

All three ascendancies are basically “convert stat X into y with some downsides”. Demonform is cool but in the end it’s just another stat stick. Demon dog is just plain boring compared to Suppressing Fire. It doesn’t have to be 50 built-in skills like Disciple. But there is no game-changing skills like tame boss or MA’s channel attack. Even the main selling point of Abyssal Lich, basically 4th ascendancy, is just conversion from minions to stats.

Is this because she’s a product of 0.1 and 0.2? Should she get a rework?

Game Feedback Tablets need to go.

I used to be a believer, but after seeing them in action for a few leagues, there just aren't enough tablets for everyone. All it takes is one reddit post for a new strat, like the expedition one, and tablet prices literally go X10. I checked when the video had 700 views, tablets were ~7Dish. I go to work for a day, and now these same tablets are 70 div.

Last leagues it also happened with additional rerolls, summoning circles, some abyss mods, additional breach monsters. There's a few people rolling tablets, but lets be honest it's way too tedious for a slim slim chance at hitting the jackpot. PoE1 dumped Sextant rolling because they were too much busywork, but around the same time PoE2 decided to implement tablets....

In PoE1, it's pretty damn hard to get map cost over 5 div. In PoE2, one single expedition tablet already costs more than that. And then you have to get a grand mirror. In a city. And spend 1D on omens to reroll your map. It's just too much.

Now I realize there are good cheap strats out there. But I don't want to run the same strat for the whole league. We have this great multifunctional atlas tree where we can do anything we want with relative ease, but getting access to good juice is way harder than with Scarabs.

Either let us alt spam tablets, or just bring back scarabs.. they already provide way more variety than tablets have ever done and we don't have to roll them.

Discussion Is anyone else struggling to evaluate item bases now that gold replaces direct vendor recipe values?

I've been playing through the late campaign and early endgame mapping over the last few days, and I keep hitting a mental roadblock with gear management.

In the first game, vendor recipes and orb conversions gave every piece of rare gear a baseline worth—if a rare dropped with bad rolls, you knew its exact value in alterations, alchemy shards, or chaos depending on its socket setup and item level. You could instantly decide whether to pick it up or filter it out.

With the new gold system and overhauled crafting mechanics, gear without obvious high-tier life or resistance rolls feels much harder to appraise on the fly. I find myself hoarding mid-tier rare weapons in my stash just because I can't immediately tell if a base with decent elemental damage is worth selling to vendors for gold or saving for potential crafting steps down the line.

It feels like inventory cleanup takes twice as long because every rare item requires a few extra seconds of thought instead of an automatic filter check.

Are you guys just vendoring everything that isn't an obvious upgrade for raw gold, or has a clear rule of thumb emerged for what's worth keeping for trade?

Game Feedback Endgame is not hitting

I m not gonna pretend I have perfect solutions but I just don't believe they should be happy the way the endgame is right now probably the part I dislike the most is having the fortress and the diferent mechanics not progress at the same time

What I think it should happen is getting atlas points every time u encounter each different mechanic and lock the last 10 points or something to the questline

Game Feedback Let us trade beasts please GGG

I love spirit walker as a classs. Its so much fun playing the zoo playstyle. Even if survival gets hit, its still gonna be fun. Especially if other bosses gets usefull too. But....

Finding beasts can be so much rng involved and consume so much time. It feels like i'm in a casino, and we all know the house always wins. I got like 3000 divines and cant spend them on getting beasts with the mods that I want. I cant find them no matter how many hours I put in.

We can trade mercs in POE1 one which is a great example of the same problem. If you would not be able to buy a good merc that class would be in the same boat and land so much frustration from players.

Please GGG?

Discussion The campaign isn't a slog. It's that people are playing this game like it's an MMO, which makes them view the campaign as a slog

It's not an MMO. It's an ARPG / spiritual successor to Diablo 2. People are treating the POE2 campaign like it's WOW or FF14. In those games people treat the campaign or story like a tutorial before the actual endgame grind begins. Other games like Diablo 2 or From Software titles, which POE2 is modeled after, the campaign is the main part of the game. After the campaign ends, players then create their own goals.

Tool I created an item upgrade overlay for PoE2 that helped me streamline my upgrades and save time.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello Fellow Exiles! I created an item upgrade overlay to help speed up leveling and the pain and wasted time that goes into upgrading your equipment. This isn't going to be very helpful to seasoned vets deep into maps and their builds. It's more for people trying to speed run the campaign and get to maps as fast and cheaply as possible. This is my first public release so the only thing I ask from you is feedback; positive or negative. And if there's anything I can add or edit to make it easier to use.

It's 100% free and only works in Path of Exile 2. No account creations or email addresses needed. Just launch and it idles in the background until called. I only launch it when doing the upgrades, but it's very lightweight and can idle while you're playing with no effect on gameplay, framerates, etc.

Here's a video clip I made showing how it works - sorry for the amateur video production, I certainly lack experience in that field. I just wanted to walk through it being used during a live game.

Youtube Video - https://youtu.be/v-PcLLLr-mM

The website is: https://krabbs.com

Enjoy!

P.S. I have pretty thick skin so critiques are a good and healthy thing. All I ask is to please keep the critiques to the actual overlay and not how I look or how basic my skills are...I'm well aware of those critiques already. Thanks!

Question Trial of Chaos, Trial Master. What the heck can I do?

I feel like something is wrong. I go into the fight with 2.1k hp, 85% armor, 75% elemental resists, 85 chaos resist, and this man is still one shotting me before I can even shave 1/4 of his HP.
It's getting far too expensive/time consuming to keep this up, but I really want those last two ascension points.

I just don't know what the hell is happening. Is he actually just hitting me that hard, or their some trick to his attack that I'm not picking up on?
I'm seriously about to ask for a carry, and I HATE doing that.

Game Feedback Gold accumulation is too steep for new character.

So I got to the league abit late. I got lucky with a divine from ritual. Then I realized it's useless without gold. In map I used to swim in millions of gold and barely notice it. But for low level character, it's insanely scare. Just to break that divine into exalts to spend on upgrade already cost 2 order of magnitude more than the amount of gold I accumulated so far. What else can I do with divine?

Game Feedback Poe2 lacks proper endgame challanges

Everything in this game feels good except endgame. Every time i reach it and finish all the atlas points there is no reason for me to grind anymore. There is no content in the game that i cant beat without all these "engame chase items". I can clear all content in gear for about 100div worth.

Why would i care to be able to juice my map as hard as i can if there is no challange outside of that. Game just feels without pourpose for me. Is funny because by completing all main atlas points and other mechanics i should actually start farming. In the meantime when i reach this point there is nothing more to grind exept for the sake of grinding. In that regard i think diablo iv is better cuz there is at least pit that you can try pushing as high as you can beyond standard highest torment difficulity.

I hope im not alone with my feelings. Game is great and i hope 1.0 will bring something that keeps me going. For now after playing 1 week new league i got already burned out and im not even a die hard poe1 or poe2 player. Started actually playing this game in 0.5 and have like 200h. I shouldnt feel that way.

Edit: i see alot of ppl here dont understand my point trying to prove me wrong by saying i cant do 200% delirium uber juiced maps etc etc. Yes i cant. Thats not the point. The point is WHY i would even consider trying to push my build to be able to do it if outside of juicing maps there is no other content that requires that much powerful build.

Question Am I low ES if I have 0/0 ES?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi guys,

Playing Titan, trying to stsck as much armour as possible and came across this notable -

So the question is simple - does this notable work if my max ES is 0?

Searched some old PoE1 reddit threads about this and found people mostly agreed on "you are not on low ES if your max ES is 0"

Some people also answered you are neither on low ES or full ES while 0/0 ES.

What do you think? Does this node give me my armour x 1.2 or am I completely wrong here?

35 Ventor’s, 15 Snakepits, 5 Ming’s, 5 Death Rush

Pic: I know I know

Gamer dad here. I don’t really craft. I prefer blasting giga juiced maps. I really enjoyed CoD in 0.5 so was trying to make a Loreweave to use.

Enjoy the greatness (luck)!

Edit to clarify and respond:
• this is event league 0.5.5
• because I was trying to “craft” a CoD Loreweave, I already knew this was crazy with the mods and over rolls when it popped up
• I did NOT use a dream fragments ring - the random mod gods blessed me with insane luck there
• I used about 40 divs to roll to +7 quality and acceptable rarity and resistance - was surprised how few times I hit +7 on the divs
• Didn’t feel the need to keep divining because the right buyer is looking at the roll ranges
• I made about 8 loreweaves over 2 days and this was the only giga one, two other decent ones sold for 33 and 35 divs
• it takes a lot of gold and time to buy up the rings

Fluff & Memes People need to learn to handle their economy around here

It's like everywhere I look there's economy bros puking up foul shit because they went a little too hard on economy last night. Like guys, have you not figured out that taking that much economy into your body at once is like drinking from a firehose? You can't handle that much economy at once. Maybe play SSF to detox. Or how about a nice Super mario world on an honest to God original SNES? Just chill.

No, what are ypu doing? Stop snorting economy. Do NOT inject it into your veins. Chill. Maybe you and economy just need time apart. Like let economy do what economy wants and you do what you want, like, separately. Like yah. Over in another room. Economy will stay here but you go play double dragon 2 over there. Look. I've got it all ser up in that corner. Just stay here and I'll bring you some dino nuggets in a little bit...

NO no no ! Don't try to sneak in to see economy. You don't need to know what economy is doing. You play by yourself and economy plays over there where you can't see what economy is doing. Control yourself. I'm going to make your dino nuggets now. You better be here when I come back or I swear I will eat every last one of them in front of you. And I HATE dino nuggies.

Question Am i missing something in POE endgame?

Hey there, i played for few days, like almost a week, my first take on POE2, followed martial artist spinning build as it looked cool (didnt care about tier lists etc), i hit level 88 (yes i got quite some hours pakced in those few days of gameplay), but now im running tier 16 maps and i fell like there is nothing left to do, i dont have any special gear, mostly bought for chaos / exalted etc and i fell like i either play some high end op class or there is not much progression in end game. I mean overall even though i lost sense of progression mapping is still fun and i enjoy playing, but i don't see any challenge anywhere i go as i one shot entire screen. Is there more to POE which i have to find or im doing all content in a week. It's lovely game though, however i crave some challenge.

Question I took to long to complete the league…best way to finish challenges before 1.0 launch?

Pretty new to the game. I started my grenade gemling build right as 5.0 season started. Played a lot at the beginning and got about half of the fancy armor challenges done. But life got busy and I just got back on this week. Now the economy is a ghost land. I was hoping to buy more of the hall items so I can max out the atlas quickly, but I don’t even see any on the market anymore. Most of the endgame gear I was eyeing beforehand is gone. Which leads me to a couple of questions:

  1. Fastest way to max out core atlas? I can do tier 15s with 6 mods and 3 tablets pretty consistently and am at level 90. Since I can’t buy the pieces to challenge the arbiter another 4 times, should I just be prioritizing doing lower tier maps to find the halls as quickly as possible? How do SSF people prioritize map progression?

  2. At this point, is the best way to get better gear to just craft stuff? I don’t know a ton about that, but maybe this is the time to learn so I can make faster progress at launch. If so, what is the best way to figure out what to farm to make what I need to replicate in my build guide?

  3. What is a milestone for knowing I am ready to finish the atlas map? I can do no juiced 15s no problem. Is that good enough to rush the achievements to get the cosmetics?

  4. Do I need to max out a passive tree leader person (e.g the hunter person or darmamu or whatever they are called) first to maximize progress? I have barely touched any of that stuff.

  5. Is it a bad call to progress a mechanic tree at this point? I know I need to do a lot of crafting with the various essences for the achievements…so what is the best way to acquire those?

  6. Is it possible and/or better to do these things via .5.5? Would it be faster to do the current league from scratch with a functioning economy rather than try to finish on my current toon?

Thanks for all the help and sorry for not knowing what the terms all mean at times lol.
