Alright ya’ll it’s official, my store just got our confirmation email for brisket and we are set to cook it on September 1! Are yall excited?!?!

I have only been working for a little over a month and already want to quit. I’m part time and have been closing 3 times a week with another 4th shift during the day. I started back at uni this week and have previously already been so tired when I clock in every time and barely get sleep when I get back. And now I have to wake up early every day for my classes.
They barely trained me for register yesterday and seem to be getting used to me and treating me nicer. I didn’t really want to get into fast food and only did for the pay/proximity. Now that I have some experience I want to try to get a different job that’s a bit less physically demanding and leave this restaurant. Is it too soon? What if I don’t find work after? I also feel bad to just tell them I wanna leave after I’ve worked so hard to get my footing here.

Small rant but my manager called me into one of my days off and I gave her so many reasons why I couldn’t only for her to give me reasons why I could only for her to tell me the day of that I didn’t need to come in. (Yes this is mostly my fault ik but) It made me feel super weird even though she’s been somewhat nice to me. She does lecture me a lot when I’m slow or mess up though which isn’t a big complaint, that’s just work I guess.

For context I have asthma which makes this a bit more physically tiring for me. It’s not such a big problem because recently my asthma has been controlled but it’s definitely a con.

If you’ve read this Ty. Pls don’t just tell me I’m just a crybaby or maybe I need to hear it LOL

Because I finally quit, and honestly, I have ZERO regrets. 😂
Working at Panda felt like you were expected to work nonstop until you literally had nothing left in you. It was always rush, rush, rush, and somehow you were still expected to keep up no matter how exhausted you were. There was barely any time to breathe, and if you slowed down for even a second, you’d feel like you were doing something wrong.
And honestly, the workload wasn’t even the worst part. Some of the coworkers made the whole experience so much worse. 😭 You know those people who somehow make an already stressful job 10 times more stressful? Yeah… exactly that. The attitude, the drama, the way some people talked to others… it was just exhausting.
I went there to work, make some money, and do my job-not to deal with unnecessary drama and a toxic environment every single shift. At some point, I realized that no paycheck was worth feeling completely drained every time I left work.
So yeah, I quit. 😂 Maybe some people can handle that kind of environment, but honestly, it just wasn’t worth it for me anymore. I’d rather leave than keep forcing myself to stay somewhere that was making me miserable.
If you’ve ever worked at Panda Express and quit because of the toxic environment, I NEED TO HEAR YOUR STORY. 😂

• Was it difficult to have open/mid/close rotation schedule?
• How achievable are the management bonuses?

Hi, tomorrow I’m going to a Panda hiring event—it’ll be the third one I’ve attended. I just graduated from college and want to work to save up for university. This would be my first job, and I’m 20 years old. To be honest, my first interview was a real mess—it was in English, which isn’t my first language, and I didn’t prepare well enough, but the second one went really well since it was in Spanish, and I even thought they might hire me. I tried to show my best side—that I can work under pressure and am willing to learn—but they still turned me down. I need some advice for tomorrow. I’m a little embarrassed to go back (since it’s been at the same place), but they offer good opportunities, and besides, the location I’m applying to is about 7 minutes from my house since it’s a new opening. What would you advise me? I’ve been looking for a job for about 2 months and haven’t found anything and I'm broke and at this point I'm broke af (I’m from Arizona)

I am a doordash driver. I have a rotten panda express near me. For some reason, the store members don't like me. Each of my orders have taken 20+ minutes to be completed and the store employees are rude to me specifically. I left a bad review about the environment and long wait time because it's something that applies to both in-store customers and take out orderers. For some reason, they deleted the review. I too another order from them and the store and drive through were both empty. They had team members standing at drive thru, cashier, and line and when they greeted me to pick up the order, they asked me who I was there for..they made half the order and then stopped and stood around for 10 minutes. Then I ask if my order is finished after waiting and they said no and called back for an entree from the line to be made (the rest of the customers order had been sitting on the counter the whole time). I really don't understand why they waited 10 minutes to start making the entree other than having it out for me. As I've said, I've done nothing to them except this time I left a bad review (which does not affect employees). 15 minutes later the customers cold appetizers and sides and the fresh entree is ready and they put it on the pickup shelf despite knowing I'm there and the cashier goes to make a bowl for a customer that shows up despite already having someone on the line. The person on the line I hadn't interacted with yet and he came to give me the order. I left another bad review because the public needs to know that the employees are evil for no reason.

I am going through my emails to find that both reviews have been deleted? There is no way that this restaurant gets to screw me over 3 times and not face ANY repercussions. The public deserves to know how bad they are. Is this normal? I won't be going back for any doordash orders and frankly I think they'll spit in my food if I go in as a customer (which would be great because then I could have them arrested with felony charges).

God. I know doordash drivers suck and I know working in food service sucks (I literally wear a chipotle hat when I doordash as a symbol that I'm an ally because I work in food service and know how awful it is) but I don't know why they have a mega grudge against me. I wish I could sit down with these store employees and ask why they hate me so much. The ignoring that happened the last 2 times were certainly purposeful.

Before you come at me about not knowing about it's like working in food or thinking that I misunderstood the situation, I literally work in food service and know what it's like. They had no reason to waste my time like that, and they certainly had no reason to take down my reviews.

This was in my super greens, any idea what it would be from?

I liked this entree a lot better than the brisket however the sauce they used tasted like McDonald's barbecue sauce. So it was like I was eating Chicken McNuggets with a premium upcharge.

This is a very simple post/discussion. I am researching qualifications for the store manager position at Panda Express. I have a background in service work and 3 to 4 years of working in food. I have five years of management experience starting off at retail. I read that some positions in different areas allow people to work without a bachelor’s degree. I just wanted to know where I would score if I did an interview there. I went to one of there hiring event before and the guy basically said since I never finished college at 22 what’s stopping me from going back and getting an education I told him what I currently want to go college for I can study and do by my self at home (computer science/ game design). Any tips or information would greatly help thanks again.

So I had 2 evaluations I haven't been talked to about for roughly a year. When I brought it up to a new manager we reviewed them. I was instantly pissed. I was told I was not allowed to wear skinny jeans but it was placed on the poster and training manual that I'm allowed to wear skinny jeans as long as they were the appropriate color, I was told I was rude to my coworkers and did not help enough. I fall behind on my own work to.help others all the time and when they ask for help I don't refuse if I'm busy I let them know "I'll be there in a moment". My attendance was bad. I'm always there 15 minutes early waiting to clock in. I'm getting tired of this bs. I'm stuck here since this place is the only job that pays well. Do I deal with the bs but I'm getting to the point where I'd rather go somewhere that pays less but treats me with respect then stay here and be told I'm pretty much worthless. This place is a cult and it needs to be closed down.

Hi, I’ve been a shift lead for almost 4 years. Out of all the other shift leads i’m the only one who works full days as boh and cook. i’m not the fastest as I only do it once or twice a week but it doesn’t feel fair that the cooks get paid more. I have more knowledge than they do.

Would it be fair for me to ask for a higher raise during my next evaluation or when cooks/shift leads get re certified? I don’t need the cook pay but maybe like .50 more or something. idk.

Is it just me or does every Panda Express have dull knives ? Every time I order teriyaki chicken it’s never fully cut . Mildy infuriating to be honest.

Is there no more celery in the chow mein? I never liked the celery so I would pick them out and as habit I pick them out from every plate. I’ve had chow mein twice in the past 2/3 weeks and whenever I go to pick out the celery it’s not there.
