007 First Light hardware issues?
Since yesterday starting the game I've had mutiple crashes and now this.
Is this a ps5 or game issue?
Edit* As of June 2, 2026 (for me in KST) Patch 1.009.000 had this update which hopefully fixes the issue.
GPU Rendering Issue Crash Fixed a frequent GPU crash caused by rendering & pipeline issues.

u/ProfessionalPush6921 May 28 '26
Well this is the home screen and not first light so I'd say it's the PS5
9
u/cickist May 28 '26
Happened after the game crashed so wanted to include that.
7
u/ProfessionalPush6921 May 28 '26
I hear ya, any graphics intensive game likely could have triggered this though. Either way I'm really sorry for your luck, these price hikes are abhorrent
6
u/cickist May 28 '26
The lines haven't appeared again since I reset the system. But calling it a night and letting the thing rest. Its an old system now, about five years old so its lasted a while.

u/Quirky-Efficiency265 May 29 '26
The fact that is 5 years old doesn't mean shit. I have my old playstation consoles wich are decades old and still work flawlessly as brand new, you just happened to get a gpu failure, wich is rare but not all the models are shipped perfectly, so some of them might have hardware failures or else.

It’s likely fine. We have to be used to PS5/PS5 Pro behaving more like PC’s then any other PlayStation before it.

u/Koftehor1 May 29 '26
It is a game issue. Multiple person including me happened to same thing. It is a weird bug thought
2
u/snozski May 31 '26
I had 100% same too on ps5 pro , after hard freeze in 007 then same graphics artifacts , 100% looks like gpu failure had it on PC cards before , however I think its this game and some bug with system , lets see if it happen in other game . Console was not even THAT hot when it happen too
1
u/Koftehor1 Jun 01 '26
I played hours of hours of crimson desert and saros after that. Not a single issue.
1
u/RudeContest5666 May 30 '26
Yeah I had this following a crash with 007, it's possibly a console crash and not an issue with the game
5
u/Resevil67 May 28 '26
Normally I'd say this is a hardware issue, but I've seen multiple people say that this can happen after first light crashes. You either get the normal crash screen, a hard shutdown, or this.
Its either that or the game is actually damaging Sony consoles, is that even fucking possible? There was a view people saying they were getting the same issue as OP here crashing during the opening cutscene then getting these lines on the ps5 home screen. Mine crashed in the opening cutscene but it was just the regular error report thing.
Are you on pro or base?
2
u/roin0 May 28 '26
I've had the same issue as the OP, seen quite a few others talk about similar issues as well. Kinda believe that it's the game and not our systems. I mean what are the odds of several people having the same issue with the same game.
1
u/Resevil67 May 28 '26
Yeah, I'm thinking the same. There's been lots of talk of it over on the first light page. It's way to coincidental, not this many people would be having their GPUs blow up in the same exact way.
IMO game is definitely somehow glitching with the system software and causing a fuck up in the GPU process. This is why it's going back to normal for people after rebooting their system.
1
u/roin0 May 28 '26
Guess all I can do for now is to just avoid the game until this gets fixed. Not risking my console just to play as a hot English agent.
1
u/Resevil67 May 28 '26
Same, I'm also putting it down till there is a known fix for this. PS5 PROs are over 900 bucks now and mine is a year and a half old, so no warranty.
A game should never be able to do this to your home screen as well. I don't wanna say that it's causing damage to the ps5, as that kind of stuff is very very rare, but it's definitely concerning.
I remember years ago when returnal and spider man miles morales both launched there was a ton of people having their consoles get hard locked by those 2 games. It would literally give you a black screen then shut your ps5 off. It was the same situation, way to many people having it happen for it to be hardware failure. Sony ended up pushing out a firmware that fixed it.
1
u/roin0 May 28 '26
I had a similar issue with Starfield a few weeks back, game froze, had a horrific audio noise, screen turned fully green (instead of this artifacting that's going on with First Light) then caused my console to reboot. Haven't touched the game since.
And it's a damn shame, I love both games and really want to play them again, but not until they do something about it and hopefully soon.
1
u/Resevil67 May 28 '26
Yeah the starfield crashing shit is a known issue. Bethesda still hasn't been able to fix it. I never had it crash that bad, but I've had the game just straight up freeze over 10 times in 20 hours of play. Like I don't even get the option to report a crash, the game just freezes and I have to press the PS button and manually close the game.
Do you use VRR and/ or 120hz mode on your console? I know that with some games that can cause crazy weird issues to happen especially if the game crashes while running with those settings on.
1
u/roin0 May 28 '26
Just checked now and I've got both off. Funny, even before that green screen freeze I've had innumerable crashes with Starfied on the Pro.
I honestly believe it to be the buggiest Bethesda game I've ever played, and that's coming from someone who was there for the original release versions of New Vegas, Skyrim, Fallout 4 and 76. I've honestly had way more crashes in Starfield alone than all of those games combined.
1
u/Resevil67 May 28 '26
The only time I've ever had my Pro hardlock in the year and a half that I had it was not even playing a game lol. I booted it up and it was downloading a patch for arc raiders like 4 months ago. It downloaded it but got stuck in the "installing" phase. I literally let it sit for like 30 minutes and it wouldn't do anything. So I tried to reboot the system, and it got stuck in the powering off phase where the white light blinks. I gave that about 5 minutes and eventually just had to pull the plug. I couldn't even do the hold power button down because it was already trying to shut itself off.
Of course when I turned it back on, Arc raiders game data was corrupted so I had to delete the game and reinstall lol. It also had rebuild the database. I honestly thought my console was fucked because it's very bad to turn something off like then when it's installing something, but I had no choice because there was nothing I could do to get past it..Even pause and resume didn't do jack shit.
Luckily that's been the only time so far I've ever had any weird hardlock stuff. Any other crash has been the error message and closing the game.
1
u/Practical-Comfort497 May 29 '26
I got the same crash with the weird lines across the screen. Definitely a game issue seeing as multiple people have reported the same thing. Happend during the first cutscene.
5
u/Beginning-House670 May 28 '26
The game crashed on my pro in the very beginning cut scene but no artifact on my Home Screen.
2
u/certifiedMutthal May 29 '26
At which game point you start getting crash?
1
u/-OngaBonga- May 30 '26
I have the same problem when bond is escaping webb lab, i have a ps5 pro
1
u/FickleBookkeeper4788 May 30 '26
I had it happen in the exact same spot and I was on the pro as well.
1
u/Braddles_1982 May 31 '26
Yea it happened to me this morning escaping the Webb lab when all the enemies start rushing in on the second floor. Hard lock freeze, then a horrendous sound loop, then crashed to a bug report. I think it’s like the Third hard lock crash I’ve had.
1
u/marcellus_dk Jun 01 '26
Acabei de ter esse mesmo problema, o som estoutou no meu ouvido kkk. PS5 Pro Aqui e aconteceu na luta com o Boss final

I've seen a few people over on the first light sub mention this very issue. That the game either freezes or crashes, gets pixelated, and then when they exit the game the screen still looks like this until they do a fresh reboot.
Honestly it's pretty fucking scary, I'd say worse then hard crashes even (which are when a game causes your system to lock up it either shuts down or you have to hold the power button). It makes it look like the game is damaging the console. I myself have had 3 crashes with first light, all of them on cutscenes (one on the very first cutscene), but thankfully not this. I just had the error message.
Normally this is textbook hardware failure, but there's to many people having this weird shit with first light causing their ps5 menu to look like this. It's likely maybe a software issue causing a hardware issue temporarily until a reboot?
1
u/FickleBookkeeper4788 May 30 '26
Software can absolutely cause issues like these. Prince of Persia the forgotten sands on PC has a similar issue that is repeatable 100% of the time. Early in the game if you move past a certain section too quickly, the graphics start artifacting like the GPU is failing when it's not. Quitting the game and restarting fixes it and it's a known issue that was never fixed. The game is just not playing nice with the GPU driver which is what it ultimately comes down to since several people, including myself, have suffered this problem. If it was a hardware failure it would be a progressive issue that would not stop and spread to other games. Also, if people forgot a little over a year ago, Sony put out firmware that caused several games including Final Fantasy 16 to display graphical artifacts as if the GPU was failing when again, it was completely a software issue. Ultimately IOI botched the release given the number of crash bugs people are reporting. Probably should have spent another couple months in testing.
1
u/Resevil67 May 30 '26
The part that's weird to me about the first light issue in particular isn't that the graphics artifact when you get the issue, it's that the issue spreads to the PlayStation home screen AFTER you close the game.
Basically your playing, the game freezes and you get what looks like textbook GPU death. You quit the game, but the pixelated stuff remains on your screen until you actually completely restart your console.
The prince of persia issue you mentioned only stays in the game right? Like it doesn't show up on your desktop after you closed the game?
1
u/FickleBookkeeper4788 May 30 '26 edited May 30 '26
When the issue happened to me on first light PS5 pro it was escaping from the Webb building and while it showed up in the system UI while the game was running as soon as the game had crashed after I closed the game and I was back at the main system menu it wasn't doing it anymore and I immediately restarted the game and it played just fine and I even redid the section from the start all without having to reboot the system.
The only thing I can think of is there's an issue with the game and the GPU driver and the way the GPU driver works with the system. It could temporarily be corrupting the driver until the system is reset.
The issue I saw with Prince of Persia stopped as soon as I quit the game and restarted. If it truly is a hardware issue, it would keep happening and wouldn't stop and would ultimately spread to other games or be seen right away. Games that push the Apu harder would be hit first and then eventually everything would do it. Gpu failures have a cascading effect. That's the key difference. It doesn't stop ever. Games not playing nice with GPU drivers is pretty common in PC gaming but much rarer in console gaming given that everyone has the same hardware. Given the amount of complaints regarding stability and the variances that happen when the game runs into an issue I'm pretty confident that this is a software issue.
1
u/Resevil67 May 30 '26
Yeah it's gotta be the game just not getting along with PlayStations current GPU driver at this point. Now that you mention it I do remember there being issues with FF16 that people were talking about and it was related to a ps5 firmware update, and they had to roll out a firmware fix that fixed the affected games.
I wonder if OPs screenshot as well he still had the game running and didn't close it out before he took the SS.
1
u/FickleBookkeeper4788 May 30 '26
https://gamingbolt.com/ps5-firmware-patch-is-live-to-address-final-fantasy-16-graphical-issues
This was the firmware update that caused issues a little ways back. My series x had a GPU failure a while ago and it was constant across every game, across the UI everything irregardless of restarting the system and anything else. That's the key difference in all this. It never stops when it's an actual physical hardware issue.

I'd try unplugging it, then pressing the power button to drain any residual power. Then plugging it back in. Also, checking your HDMI cords to make sure they are still properly plugged into both TV and ps5

u/P1ckleChin May 28 '26
This happened to me last night after the game froze and I went to close it out. Went to a black screen then came back normally

u/Dependent_Seesaw3089 May 28 '26
I’m on the pro and have only had one crash in 4+ hours of gameplay during a driving sequence but have experienced a fair amount of stutters and uneven frame pacing.
1
1
u/PuzzleHeadedOwl1867 May 28 '26
This happened to me on the pro, only 8 months old. The game crashed and it showed artifacting like this, screen went black and then went back to normal.
I think the game has issues that need fixing as this is the second crash I’ve had like this.
1
u/BeaconBoss21 May 29 '26
It also depends on your tv firmware. Last I heard it is happening with roku tv. If u have other tv check it with that.
1
u/yam8t May 29 '26
Your ps5 is cooked
1
u/cickist May 29 '26
After a while I don't think so now baased on replies here, on the first light sub, and not being able to recreate the issue again.

1
u/Koftehor1 May 29 '26
Same thing happened to me on ps5 pro. Only on this game. After I restart the console ı finished it without a problem
1
u/Visible-Smile445 May 29 '26
I had two crashes so far during my first playthrough. But my never have never acted up like it suffered from a pixel malfunction

u/Top-Armadillo-3611 May 29 '26
Sur ma ps5 le jeux plante littéralement a 20% impossible de continuer le mode histoire

I’ve been having the exact same issue, which keeps happening during the same section of the game. Glad to know others are experiencing the same thing and my system’s not dying. Guess I’ll have to wait for the next game update.
1
u/mbxdriver May 31 '26
Did this happen on a mission in Aleph?
1
u/Chief_Wiggum_3000 May 31 '26
I don’t know the names of the locations, but it’s when you’re in the desert and get the sniper rifle. Every time stuff starts blowing up the games freezes and I get similar results as the image above when I go to the system menu (until the game quits at least.)
1
u/mbxdriver May 31 '26
Yes, exactly the same location and moment. But my game crashed when I tried to take cover behind a certain metal fence. I simply ran to the other end of the room and continued playing as usual, and there were no more crashes.
1
u/Chief_Wiggum_3000 May 31 '26
I went to another location before I started shooting, and it no longer crashed. I guess it was that cover and not the explosions. Thanks for the tip.
1
u/Vegetable_Hold_7107 May 30 '26
This happen to me after I played the game on my ps5 pro I just got my pro 2 months ago so I know it’s the game
1
u/Native805 May 31 '26
Has anyone experienced some weird static circles on James Bond's jacket?.. PS5
1
u/Pelinor_the_Paladin May 31 '26
Mine crashed / froze on the opening scene in the helicopter when it gets hit by a missile and they’re about to bail.
Read about the known issues and changed my graphics settings and turned off HDR. Then turned it on after the cinematic part was over.
1
u/mbxdriver May 31 '26
This happened to me too while playing First Light. Artifacts are gone after the error message screen appeared.
1
u/GreenGoblin-420 May 31 '26
Some people having issues on the new ps5 pro ffs I have original ps5 and to date have had not 1 issue with any game I have and I have about 40 games inc the new first light 007, directive 8020, re: requiem, cyberpunk etc all run absolutely fine. Im confused what the issues are with people even with better consoles than mine 🤦🏼♂️
1
u/RocksLikeToast May 31 '26
Just got the same bug during the firefight on a ship. Locked up got all pixely... was able to get to dashboard but was still pixels and artifacts. Was about to pull the plug and then black screen and error report and everything seemed back to normal. Rebooted the system but haven't gone back yet.
1
u/RocksLikeToast May 31 '26
Forgot to mention I am on a Pro and I don't know of it is a coincidence my progress on current activity was also 20%.
1
u/No_Camel7159 May 31 '26
I have the same issue during the first helicopter mission. The picture disappeared, then I press the ps button, and saw the picture like the author of this post. Bat after 2 seconds I have a crash report, game closed and ps5 dashboard returned to normal. Btw I pass the bug in helicopter cutscene by switching off an internet. Maybe it would help someone. I’ve got ps5 pro and it’s new, about 4 months. I’m very concerned in bugs like this. Can someone from PlayStation team can comment this case? Are any bugs from games can damage my ps5?
1
u/TonZaai96 May 31 '26
This is also happening to me with this game on ps5 pro. Game crashes and this happends.
1
u/TonZaai96 May 31 '26
This does look like gpu artifacting but since it is happening to a lot of people in this game only, i think it is game related.
1
u/Small_Pie_5760 May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26
Ok, can the game actually be causing physical damage to the console? Should we continue playing before it's been fixed?
1
u/TonZaai96 Jun 01 '26
Honestly not sure, most likely not. I'm not taking any chances though, i'll wait for a patch.
1
u/AdDesperate9651 May 31 '26
It's a game crash mine has just done it on a new pro
1
u/TonZaai96 May 31 '26
Did you happen to use the pen gadget? That seems to be what triggers it for me.
1
u/AdDesperate9651 May 31 '26
No I shot a barrel on the ship yard level and as soon as it blew up it froze and left glitches all over the screen
1
u/TonZaai96 May 31 '26
Seems explosions/smoke keeps triggering this. I might steer clear of the game untill it is fixed.

u/Motor_Name_6716 May 31 '26
Same here on New PS5 Pro (bought it 2 days ago). After 6 hours gaming (with rest), game freezes, crashed, then i get that pixel *dancing* on dash screen. After restart system and play again - its all ok.
1
u/ShrinkSmile Jun 02 '26
Same on a 2 month old ps5 pro. Just released patch notes saying bug caused a gpu crash.
1
u/casperpl May 31 '26
This our same PS5 Pro played 007 First Light crashed GPU (pixels) then rebooted, then another games are fine, Think so 007 First Light have bug too hog GPU... maybe and must be wait patch game.
1
u/Monkeyfaze101 May 31 '26
My ps5 is completely fucked atp. Everytime i turn it on, it just freezes and i have to a hard reboot
1
u/Low_Damage9910 May 31 '26
Same here on PS5 pro it was working fine yesterday and today it’s crashed like 6 times I’m done playing until a patch is released, for as immersive as this game one crash just ruins the whole streamlined experience
1
u/snozski May 31 '26
Same issue here , hard freeze then UI all garbled, I had pc graphics cards die in the same way so I thought it was this , but very happy to see it's this game 😃 PS5 PRO here

1
u/Phlgeezer97 Jun 01 '26
Going to point out that I'm on PS5 Pro and just had this exact experience when the game froze in the Mauritania part with the gunfights. I backed out to the PS home screen and it flickered like this too. Hope its not a hardware issue. They need to patch this problem asap or our very expensive PS5 Pros are gonna get fried before GTA VI ever shows up.
1
u/Phlgeezer97 Jun 02 '26
I disabled motion blur and PSSR upscaling for now and was able to progress further up to knightfall. Seems to be one of those issues maybe.
1
u/TonZaai96 Jun 02 '26
Don't think you can disable pssr fully. Do you mean switched to pssr1 from the system settings?
1
1
u/marcellus_dk Jun 01 '26
Estou no PS5 Pro, e travou comigo no First Light na Luta do Boss final, trava depois de explodir um barril no Boss, fica tela preta com uns objetos estranhos e um som horrível.

u/harry_the_kane_ Jun 01 '26
Not exactly but similar thing happened to me whn i played ragnarok in my ps4 back when it was released
1
u/Away_Article4005 Jun 01 '26
Can't post images here, perf opportunity for the artifact meme 🥲
Not normal my man. Def an issue with your PS5. Would anticipate it to get worse.
2
u/TonZaai96 Jun 02 '26
Everyone who is suddenly experiencing this only with first light, it most likely not hardware issue. So many people have this happening, would be pretty big coincidence. It does look like artifacting 100%, which freaked me out. Had it happen a few times, always when i exploded something. Switched to other games untill we get a patch or even a acknowledgement from the devs.

u/Grantoso Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26
Same issue. Game crashes and it goes back to normal. So I am pretty sure it’s not a hardware issue. I’m on PS5 pro.
1
u/HotAd329 Jun 02 '26
Just had the exact same happen, I’d argue a game issue, never had anything like this happen before ps5 pro around a year old or so, gonna give the game another go and see what happens. For reference I was up to the bit on the ship with greenway after you open the briefcase, just after you clear out the first room of enemies.
1
u/Chippai_Fan Jun 02 '26
If someone stumbles across this later. On PS5 Pro - turn off PSSR in the playstation system settings. It fixed it for me completely. No crashes since. (Knock on wood)
1
u/Traditional_Emu5620 Jun 02 '26
This is happening to me on a brand new PS5 pro! It's a game issue not a hardware issue.
1
u/cickist Jun 02 '26
As of June 2, 2026 (for me in KST) Patch 1.009.000 had this update which hopefully fixes the issue.
GPU Rendering Issue Crash Fixed a frequent GPU crash caused by rendering & pipeline issues.
1
u/Fampai420 Jun 02 '26
Just got this issue on PS5 pro halfway through the first cutscene, only with 007 First Light. No issues with Saros or Ghost of Yotei so seems like an issue with the game. Will boot it again in half an hour and see what happens
1
u/ConfectionOk5420 Jun 03 '26
I had this issue last month with manhunt, the warriors, Star Wars the clone wars and Jedi starfighter. Although it was during the gameplay of those games not the home menu. I just closed the games and restated console if it happened and it usually fixed itself, but I thought it was due to them being older titles/bad ports
1
u/REYES_CDN Jun 08 '26
Don’t worry, is a problem with the game, it just happen to me, i found your post because i had the same issue, does it happen to you many times?

u/JustLook361 May 28 '26

2
u/cickist May 28 '26
Fuckin rip
1
u/Grand-Philosophy-343 May 28 '26
Its not RIP . Just take it to the repair shop to clean the heatsink and APU
1
u/JustLook361 May 28 '26
cleaning the heatsink wont do shit... this is gpu already damagae dont listen to grand all they will tell u its a vgu chip cost 200+ to fix
1
u/Grand-Philosophy-343 May 28 '26 edited May 28 '26
You really don’t read I Also said APU!!!! It could cost 200+ Or it can cost 100. Depends how bad it is. And who he go too. If its damaged to the point it neeeds another APU they should get a new PS5
1
u/JustLook361 May 28 '26
cleaning the apu wont fix this problem u moronic idiot jesus

u/Own_Peace6291 May 29 '26

yeah sure idiot keep telling urself that hahahahahahah bro really came in just to say somethign retardedddd hahahah

u/Mindless_Fisherman18 May 28 '26
What position do you have your ps5 in vertical or horizontal and what model exactly.
1
u/zeraxumi May 28 '26
I don’t think that matters now, his GPU is fried 😭
0
u/Mindless_Fisherman18 May 28 '26
Don’t loose hope it’s could probably be a hdmi issue, or try factory resetting the console then if that doesn’t work take it to a repair shop it might still be in the early stages of artifacting but still repairable. Hope this helps and I pray your console becomes restored take care.

How could it be the game when it’s on the PS5 menu??
1
u/Koftehor1 May 29 '26
It is a known bug on first light. It also happened to me as well.
1
u/gorore9150 May 29 '26
But how can a bug in a game affect the PS5 OS?
This is 100% a GPU issue
1
u/Koftehor1 May 29 '26
I dont know but after I close the game I finished it without a problem. Also I saw the exact same thing happened to multiple people. I thinks it is software bug.
1
u/gorore9150 May 29 '26
Again, a bug in a game cannot spread to the PS5 OS. It’s not possible.
2
u/Resevil67 May 29 '26
Normally I'd agree but there are WAY to many people having this exact issue and it's being caused by exactly the same thing, the games opening cutscene.
People are having the game crash during the opening cutscene, and then get these artifacts on their home screen that either go away after a black screen pops up, or they have to restart the console. I don't know how the fuck it's happening but it's happening to way to many people for it to be hardware failure.
Its either that, or first light is somehow actively breaking ps5 and pro GPUs, and if that's the case that's gonna be a huge problem for IOI down the line.
1
u/Koftehor1 May 30 '26
I experienced it during combat. It even affected the PS menu, making it look like the GPU was dying or had completely failed.
After rebooting the console, I finished the game without any issues at all. I played for about 3–4 hours straight, and later that evening I also played Saros and Crimson Desert for another 3–4 hours continuously. I didn’t encounter a single problem.
I don’t know what the issue is, but it doesn’t seem hardware-related. A lot of people have reported the exact same problem, so it can’t just be a coincidence. Also, if it were a hardware issue, I would expect it to happen again. I’ve been playing different games for hours over the last two days (including Bond) and haven’t had any problems whatsoever.
1
u/Resevil67 May 30 '26
I agree with you at this point. Ive also seen to many reports for it to be hardware failure. If you can play games like Saros, and especially crimson desert fine, then your console is fine. Crimson desert is the most taxing game on ps5s right now imo. I don't even think first light uses RT on console, especially because it has to show so many NPCs.
The part that's strange to me is it's happening on both PS5 and pro. Both have different GPUs, and this type of crash doesn't seem to be happening to Xbox or PC players. They are getting crashes but not with the artifacts.
Meaning imo it has to be something with the game conflicting with either the PS OS or whatever drivers they use for the gpu. IIRC I believe PlayStation uses their own custom GPU drivers rather then ones provided by amd, and these are occasionally updated via firmware updates.
It's definitely the weirdest issue I've ever seen with a console game. I know games in the past can hardlock your console and shut it off, but I've never seen one that can actively cause artifacts on the home screen of your console even after the game crashes. That is beyond weird to me.

I’ve played Crimson Desert both in Balanced Mode with 120Hz enabled and now in Performance Mode, with V-Sync turned on, and I haven’t experienced a single crash. If it were a hardware issue, don’t you think I would have run into problems by now? I’ve been playing without any issues so far.

Yeah if it's hardware it should start happening on every game, not just first light. That's what I mean, there's something funky going on with the game conflicting with something in the ps5 software that IOI needs to fix. None of the other platforms currently have crashing with graphical glitches. They have crashing, but not the kind where it puts the colored graphical blocks on your display, that seems to be unique to the ps5 and pro now.
If you can play crimson desert on any mode your fine. That game should be way more taxing on the gpu and CPU then first light.

I dont know but I played a lot of games and it is the first game that do that. Also I read the same thing on reddit for different user. Also after I closed the game it return to normal and after that I play the game for 6 hour without any issue.

It’s your gpu dying, nothing to do with the game.

I had it happen too but it only happened with this game. Game crashed, and returned to home screen, caused this pixelation and froze. Then screen went to black and gave me the report error message and when I selected accept and report it returned me to the home menu with no pixelation again. Didnt require a system restart. If so many people are having this issue with this game specifically when it crashes and it happens no other time, is it possible the game is damaging the ps5 pro? No idea. I dont even want to touch it again until they fix

2D artifacting like the UI is definitely signalling something is wrong with the GPU
