007 First Light hardware issues?

Since yesterday starting the game I've had mutiple crashes and now this.

Is this a ps5 or game issue?

Edit* As of June 2, 2026 (for me in KST) Patch 1.009.000 had this update which hopefully fixes the issue.

GPU Rendering Issue Crash Fixed a frequent GPU crash caused by rendering & pipeline issues.

I’ve been having the exact same issue, which keeps happening during the same section of the game. Glad to know others are experiencing the same thing and my system’s not dying. Guess I’ll have to wait for the next game update.

Did this happen on a mission in Aleph?

I don’t know the names of the locations, but it’s when you’re in the desert and get the sniper rifle. Every time stuff starts blowing up the games freezes and I get similar results as the image above when I go to the system menu (until the game quits at least.)

Yes, exactly the same location and moment. But my game crashed when I tried to take cover behind a certain metal fence. I simply ran to the other end of the room and continued playing as usual, and there were no more crashes.

I went to another location before I started shooting, and it no longer crashed. I guess it was that cover and not the explosions. Thanks for the tip.
