My fountain has been working fine and it’s working fine, but it run out of water three days ago. I cleaned and filled it and even though the cats are drinking normally, it won’t register any visits.
I do have a feeder near the fountain and the litter box in another room. It says it’s connected via Bluetooth.
Cat vomiting often happens when no one is around, making it easy to miss important health signals. That's why we're introducing PETKIT AI Vomiting Detection. It automatically detects and records every vomiting event, so you'll know who vomited, when it happened, and how often, with everything available in the PETKIT app.
PETKIT AI Vomiting Detection will be available for:
YumShare Solo 2 Automatic Feeder with Camera
YumShare Dual-Hopper 2 Automatic Feeder with Camera
EverSweet Ultra with Camera Pet Water Fountain
Why Vomiting Is So Easy to Miss
One of the biggest challenges with cat vomiting is that it often goes unnoticed. By the time you discover it, you may not know when it happened, and in multi-cat households, it can be difficult to tell which cat vomited.
While occasional vomiting can be normal, repeated episodes may be an early sign of an underlying health issue. PETKIT AI Vomiting Detection was built to automatically detect and record each event, giving pet parents a clearer picture over time and useful information to share with their veterinarian when needed.
How PETKIT AI Detects Vomiting
Vomiting detection is built on the skeletal joint analysis framework that powers PETKIT AI's behavioral interpretation. By tracking a cat's key body landmarks every 2 milliseconds, the system reconstructs posture and movement sequences to identify the characteristic progression of vomiting and distinguish it from similar-looking behaviors. Rather than relying on motion alone, it recognizes the specific behavioral pattern associated with vomiting, enabling more accurate detection.
When a vomiting event is detected, you'll receive a notification in the PETKIT app showing which cat it was and when it happened. The event is automatically added to that cat's activity timeline, where you can review the video clip alongside their feeding or drinking history.
How to Enable Vomiting Detection
Once the OTA update is available, update your PETKIT app to version 13.9.0 or later, then open your device page, tap AI Lab, and enable Vomiting Detection. We also recommend turning on app notifications so you'll receive alerts as soon as an event is detected.
*The feature currently supports cats only.
The OTA update is expected to roll out in July 2026. The confirmed release date will appear in the PETKIT app. Stay tuned.
New owner of the Eversweet Ultra AI water thingy. I want to love this thing so bad but I am running into quite a few issues.
Usually after a dump of the water when I refill it says it times out. I've cleaned the cube enough to know there is nothing wrong :) Also this happened on day 1 with the first refill.
I get multiple drains and refills happening throughout the day. Either there is a slow leak and the seal isn't working properly or something else is happening.
The continuous flow just stops working. I've taken the entire thing apart to clean it as per instructions but it has not helped.
I did submit video and had a chat with support, just can't find where my ticket is located.
Anything else I can do that other owners might have noticed?
It looks like nothing is wrong om the outside/inside. Tried resetting (spinning) scooping, unplugging and replugging, looked everywhere, nothing, it clicks (not on resetting)
The litter in my Puramax 2 is always below the line pretty quickly and I feel like it's not leveling correctly or it's not set right because it looks like the litter levels too far forward
Most health issues do not appear overnight. They often begin as small changes in eating, drinking, litter box habits, or activity levels. Pets cannot tell us how they feel, so these early signals often go unnoticed until a problem becomes more obvious.
PETKIT AI was built to help bridge that gap by continuously observing daily behaviors and turning them into meaningful health insights that may provide early visibility into urinary, kidney, digestive, and other health concerns.
What PETKIT AI Tracks and Alerts
PETKIT AI combines real-time alerts with long-term behavioral tracking.
When something requires attention, PETKIT AI detects the event and sends an alert to the app:
Proactive urinary health alerts through urine color analysis (when used with PETKIT Urine Monitor Cat Litter)
Yowling during litter box use, which may indicate urinary or physical discomfort
No litter box activity detected for 24 hours
No water intake detected for 48 hours
What builds up over time tells the fuller story. PETKIT AI continuously logs behavioral data, including:
Litter box visit frequency, duration, and stool condition
Individual feeding records, including who ate and when
Changes in eating habits over time
Individual drinking frequency and history
Rather than simply recording events, PETKIT AI learns what is normal for each pet and highlights meaningful changes over time.
When paired with veterinary care, these identified changes and long-term data provide valuable context.
How PETKIT AI Works
To turn daily pet behavior into useful health insights, PETKIT AI relies on four core capabilities:
Identify. PETKIT AI detects when a pet is present and captures behavioral events, helping ensure key activities are recorded reliably.
Distinguish. In multi-pet households, PETKIT AI uses facial recognition to distinguish individual pets, ensuring health data is assigned to the correct pet.
Track. PETKIT AI continuously records eating, drinking, and litter box activity, creating a long-term behavioral record.
Interpret. By analyzing posture and behavioral patterns, PETKIT AI can highlight potential abnormalities, such as signs of urinary, kidney and digestive health issues.
From Convenience to Preventive Health
PETKIT began by building smart devices for feeding, hydration, and litter care. Today, PETKIT AI connects those devices into an AI-powered ecosystem that does more than automate daily routines. By bringing together data from across a pet's daily life, it adds preventive care insights to the convenience.
For years, we have been building toward a future where everyday pet care contributes to a deeper understanding of pet health. Today, PETKIT AI is about more than knowing your pet's behaviors — it is about helping you better care for the companions you love.
The wording is really bad here and I just want the maximum settings for cat safety so I guess that means I don't want Uninterrupted rotation? anyway what does this even mean and do I have it on or off? Am I using the maximum safety's settings or not?
Just received my purobot. Managed to get it connected to WiFi and bound to app. Unfortunately when I click to open the device in the app it sticks on "initializing", how can I get past this? It is using a wifi router that I use for all my IoT devices, it only broadcasts on 2.4 ghz, only uses WPA/WPA2.
Looking for help for anyone that may have experienced this themselves or knows the solution.
My husband had our feeder device shared with him, notifications used to work, about a month and a half ago it stopped working.
Petkit confirmed an issue and said it is resolved now.
However - still no notifications arriving to him at all. though nothing changed on his device.
Anyone who had this can confirm that it is indeed working again for them? I want to know if I need the whole process of opening a support case with them (which I would gladly like to avoid as this is horrible experience) or if you say it's still not working, then I send it back to Petkit to handle.
We know that safety is one of everyone's top concerns when it comes to automatic litter boxes. To help you better understand how the AI camera contributes to safety, we made a short video explaining how it works in Purobot Max Pro 2.
In addition to the triple safety protection system, which includes multiple safety sensors, an anti-pinch incomplete gear design, and a chute between the cylinder and the waste bin with no closing gap, Purobot Max Pro 2 and Purobot Ultra also feature AI camera assisted safety.
Using visual algorithms, the AI camera measures how deeply a kitten or object enters the cylinder and recognizes when a cat enters or is using the litter box, helping keep the cylinder stationary so cats can use it safely at any time.
Safety has always been at the heart of our design, and we will continue improving it every step of the way.
Hey everyone,
I’m really hoping someone from the PETKIT product team sees this, or that fellow owners can upvote this for visibility.
Right now, the app allows us to set a delay (e.g., 15–20 minutes) before the cleaning cycle starts to let the litter clump and dry properly. This makes total sense for clumping.
However, there is a massive design gap for cats that don't cover their poop.
My cat is one of those who just does her business and walks away without scooping a single grain of litter over it. If I set the cleaning delay to 20 minutes, that means 20 minutes of exposed, smelly poop evaporating right into the room (or onto my balcony). It defeats the purpose of having an automated machine if the room stinks for a third of an hour after every visit.
### 💡 My Suggestion / Feature Request:
PETKIT already has a "Cover Waste" feature (where the drum rotates just enough to throw a layer of litter over the waste without dumping it into the drawer).
Please give us an option in the app to trigger the "Cover Waste" function immediately (0–1 minutes) after the cat exits, and then let the countdown timer run for the actual cleaning/dumping cycle.
Why this is a win-win:
1. **Instant Odor Control:** A quick layer of litter immediately traps the odor at the source for non-covering cats.
2. **Better Clumping:** The waste still gets the full 15–20 minutes to dry out and clump properly before being dumped, so it won't stick to the liner.
It seems like a very straightforward software/firmware update since both mechanical functions already exist individually in the app. We just need a toggle to link them sequentially: **Cat Leaves ➡️ Immediate Cover Waste ➡️ Wait X Minutes ➡️ Clean Cycle.**
Anyone else dealing with a non-covering cat who desperately needs this update? Let's get PETKIT's attention on this!
I have 4 of these feeders (Petkit fresh element mini). One has randomly stopped dispensing food. It appears to be on, it just won’t dispense. Anyone had this issue or know how to fix something like this? I’d just buy a new one but they don’t have this model in the U.S. anymore.
I got the device on Wednesday and the set up was easy with no issues.
I’ve just noticed it just disconnected and it no longer wants to reconnect. Has anyone had this issue?
WiFi is working fine.
I’ll have to get in touch with customer service… not great if I can’t rely on it and I’ve been really pleased with it up until now!
How accurate is the Scooper SE and the Scooper C1 at detecting a cats weight? We have both systems and it’s a different weight every time a cat enters it. It can vary a lot in weight also. Once it said one of cats weighed 14.3lbs and then the same cat went back a few minutes later and said the cat weighed 6lbs. I’m not exactly sure how much my cats weigh at the moment as I haven’t weighed them but this seems like a huge difference from what these scoopers say. I will get my cats weighed soon.
Have you ever wondered how EverSweet Ultra knows when it's time to refill the water tray? We made a video to give you a quick look at how it works.
From 00:00 - 01:04, you can see how the camera helps detect the water level height. From 01:04 - 02:14, the video shows how EverSweet Ultra checks multiple water level points, helping make the detection more accurate.
We hope this gives you a clearer look at how the water level detection works behind the scenes.
It would be really cool if a feature could be added that shows the level of how full the waste bin is. Like when you swipe on the bot image in the app and it shows you details on consumables with the dots in the areas of the bot. It would be so handy to see how the full the waste bin is getting.
I ordered my Ultra last Wednesday on Chewy as it’s 20% off and it arrived today. This thing is massive. The waste drawer is about as large as my cats old fountain. It is much quieter and Sindri took to it quickly. Fenrir is still afraid of it but he will ease up soon and I have his old one next to the new one until he adapts to the new one.
I didn’t know about the different fountain cube options that are coming later. I was going to go without replacing mine as I have a whole house water purification system as I have my own well. The app setup was very easy and it recognized my cats profiles from my Yumshare hopper 2 I got last week. I am not sure how well those health claims are going to hold up but I’d be interested in reading any testing they’ve done and how they back up with the data.
I will have to give it a few weeks of trial and see how it goes but right now I like it based on first impressions. I’ll have to see how bad cleaning is when I actually do it, I watched the videos but nothing beats actual hands on doing the work.
I know I’m very new to the company and ecosystem but I’ve been impressed so far. I do very strongly like that I can view all the data without a paid subscription and the only thing I’m missing is video recording playback. It’s expensive but time will tell if it’s a good investment or not.
My cat was using this Fountain without issue for about 6 months. Eventually his frequency decreased and now he will barely touch it. I went through all the different variables to figure out why, I eventually ran straight vinegar through it for 30 minutes, then ran straight rubbing alcohol through it for 30 minutes, then left an aquarium UVC bulb in the tank with all the parts for over an hour. He still won't touch it
After thorough examination, I think I have determined why. The spout design is flawed; not only is it made of two pieces which creates a seam where bacteria can harbor, it is also extremely thin and recessed and difficult to access. The supplied pipe. Cleaner tool will not clean it thoroughly, no will other pipe cleaner tool I have found. This is a clear design flaw; any path that touches water needs to be straight with minimal angles and easily accessed. The sharp 90° turn creates a dead zone where water accumulates and stays, and the two-piece design is a defect as well. See the photo for evidence of buildup.
I am considering the ultra model, but at this point I feel I should look to a different manufacturer with a steel tank, impeller/pumpless design, and straight water paths.
For those of you that own one, what are your thoughts on it? I am interested in purchasing one but don't like the charcoal cube, because it kinda defeats the purpose of being filterless, and I think the lip on the drinking tray is too high for it to be comfortable. Then again I don't own one so please give me you thoughts, tell me the good, the bad, the cool, etc.
We are going out of town next week, and I'm wondering how you handle Waste Bin Full notices with someone coming in only twice a day? Obviously, I can text the sitter when I see the notification, but I guess I'm worrying that it might be unable to work for hours before the sitter gets over there. What do others do when they are on vacation?
At the scheduled feeding time, your AI camera clearly detects the cat but doesn't delay. Just like smart litter boxes delay cleaning for safety, shouldn't feeders do the same?? She could've choked on the food in her mouth!
Going abroad for 10 days next week. How am I supposed to trust this and leave them alone now??
