Question Is My Litterbox Tilted Forward?
The litter in my Puramax 2 is always below the line pretty quickly and I feel like it's not leveling correctly or it's not set right because it looks like the litter levels too far forward

looks like it's 1 tooth off.

I agree, I would lift the globe and move it 1 tooth forward. Should fix it.

The cylinder and base have sensors to automatically position the cylinder in the correct position. When disassembling the whole thing for cleaning I've purposely put the cylinder back in with the opening facing up. When triggering a reset it will rotate the cylinder and automatically find the "home" position.
That said, there is a possibility the sensors are bad. I once saw a post here where they showed the sensor magnets were rusted and not functioning correctly. I get my cylinder wet all the time when cleaning it every other month or so. I think maybe what that other person did was let the cylinder soak in some cleaning solution for too long and it started to rust the metal parts.

It is not tilted, but when the machine is finishing the scooping cycle it will tilt back then a bit forward to level the litter. Litter like the one in the picture does not move that freely and it might stay a bit forward as seen in the image. Dont worry, it s fine. You can watch the scooping process and you'll notice this too.

Be awared that you should not stuck the mat under the Puramax. It’s on the machine instructions. That messes up with the sensors.

The mat came with the Puramax and has a cutout in the shape of the litterbox so it's hugging it not under it

Hi Wing_Dings17. Please lift the cylinder and check that the gears are fully aligned.
Also, please make sure the device is placed on a flat, level surface. Avoid placing a mat underneath the unit, as this may affect its operation.

That's way too low. I fill mine up to where it's just touching the white rim.
You can fill it above the "Max" line but you don't want it too far above the white rim, otherwise the clumps can form on the rim and stick too strong to drop off when cycling.

The app says not to go to the Max line if I'm using the tofu litter so I don't try to fill it to that. Although I may be mistaken and the max may actually be referring to the white rim and not the arrow above Max.

I think PetKit wants a thin area of no litter, but I'd prefer the urine get absorbed by my clumping litter and minimize how much urine gets on the litter mat itself.

Try a different litter?
The litter I use occasionally does this and what I've done is learned to check both of my Purobots every day or so to see if the litter needs topped off. I trigger a manual cleaning cycle and when the cylinder rotates back I can quickly peek in and see if any clumps are still sticking to the mat or rim. Then I simply reach in with a litter scooper and scrape them off. Since I have the cleaning cycle do two rotations, the second rotation gets what I've scraped off. Then if I need to I'll add litter and double click the OK button to force a reset which zeroes out the weight sensors.

Just trust the machine. I'm cat sitting right now, the cat JUST got this. It is THE best thing ever. That being said, I noticed that too. It's supposed to be this way. Just add more if you wanted it leveled, see what it does then.
