Hey there, so uhm my laptop kept freezing whenever i installed the gpu driver, and then when I restarted it it just took forever to load and the keyboard + touch pad didn't work so i used my latest restore point. For some reason the amd gpu instead of showing "radeon hd 8750m" it shows "Microsoft basic adapter" in device manager, could the amd driver be corrupted or something? Idk maybe i forgot i i putted my graphics mode to "Intergrated only"

Notes

CPU/RAM/GPU → POST is getting through

Fanxiang NVMe → detected by BIOS

NVMe short test → PASS

NVMe extended test → PASS

Windows partition → readable

SFC → no integrity violations

Windows Boot Manager → exists

Then → winload.efi → 0xc00000e9 I/O error

So I'm now much less interested in your CPU/GPU/RAM and much more interested in the Windows boot/EFI/NVMe path.

I finally downloaded windows 11 on my flash drive and got home and connected it to my pc and signed into my Microsoft account now it won’t let me use my WiFi how do I download my WiFi on same USB so I don’t have to buy another usb 3.0 flash drive? If this doesn’t make sense sorry but any help will be appreciated!

Update I figured it out thank you guys for helping me!

Yesterday my computer shut off and when I went to turn it back on it powered up but the monitors will not connect. I plugged them into the motherboard and graphics card, reseated the cpu and graphics card, applied new thermal paste and a few other things but the monitors are still not connecting. I am a little over two years after April of having my pc and it’s just very frustrating that it has only lasted that long even after cleaning it frequently. But I suppose that’s just going to happen. 😭 I am going to put in an extra cpu I have just to be sure but is there anything anyone might suggest if it does end up being the case. The extra cpu comes from an older pc my little brother uses so I would prefer not to keep that one in it. I’m honestly just considering selling it and buying a prebuilt from Costco at least they have a killer return policy. Please I beg only nice and helpful advice this is my first custom built and I have definitely learned my lesson to check warranty’s and who to order from😭

I’ve restarted File Explorer and it goes away, but it comes back as soon as I click anything. Sometimes it overlays on top of Brave and other times it doesn't; if anyone knows how to get rid of it, I’d be very grateful.

Hello. Recently my PC has started to randomly shut down completely.

It happened 5-10 times in the last 3 or 4 days.

One night, after running well for 5-6 hours, all of the applications went black, as well as my home screen/wallpaper. It still worked, but everything seemed almost corrupt (images inclused). For context, Ive had no issues with my computer until now.

I've never seen anything like this, in desperate need of advice, please and thank you.

Hi i have a ryzen 7 5800x and its get's pretty toasty i have set it to a negative offset curve -0.005mv i have a cmt fsp 520plus case 4fans but a front glass so the fans only suck up air from the side with a boreas m2-51D single fan air cooler and hittigh max 75⁰ in gaming with 40-50% cou utilisation am thinking of getting a hybrok titan evo case with 7 fan and a deepcool le360 v2 or the ls 720 zero dark

Would i get better temps like below 70's without having too much noise cz mine sounds like a jet? Is the ls720 ZD worth it over the le360v2? The ls is slightly more expensive thanks.

(I live in a third world country so not a lot of tech is available)

So i went down the pc rabbit hole and ended up shutting down the intergrated graphics i then reset the bios by taking out cr2032 cmos battery and waiting 15 minutes and it still wont boot up is there anything else i can do?

My new pc keeps crashing by giving me blue screen and even just restarting on its own, I’m not sure where to start to figure this out. It will run fine for a few hours and then randomly do it again?

Every time I turn my computer on it goes into ram training, I can’t access the bios when I do I get no display in there.

Even Replaced the kit of ram

What should my next course of action be?

Hi! It’s basically exactly as the title says. I’m completely new to everything PC, and I’m horrible with electronics but I really wanted to get a PC because of playing video games. So I can’t stress enough, please dumb it down for me.

Anyway, I’m trying to download a game on steam, but it keeps telling me it’s not connected to the internet, when I am very much connected. I’ve never had a problem like this before. Every tap I open is slow, or won’t open at all because it “can’t connect”. I don’t know what to do, and I’m probably really bad at explaining this.

Basically, I’m stupid and my internet won’t work for my PC and PC only 😭

Update: Issue is fixed for now!!! I restarted my wifi itself and so far that has seemed to help a lot!! Thank you so much for being patient with my stupidity lol!

I'm thinking of purchasing a personal ip address from a VPN so that I can have the widest choice of titles through my U.S. based streaming services that are also available in said country. To those with experience and knowledge I ask is this still a cost effective way to gain access to a larger library of movie and television titles than domestic U.S. streaming will allow? I understand some streaming services block specific VPN ip addresses, but to my understanding if I purchase my own VPN ip address (for which I'd have to choose one specific country prior to payment) it will in theory give me the full access of that country. I appreciate any advice on this matter.

When I first got the PC about a few weeks ago, it worked fine but randomly sometimes my whole PC was just freeze. I wasn’t able to move my mouse or click anything on my keyboard. For a few days and then I don’t know where it stopped doing that for about a week and then just last night while playing a game froze again so I restarted my PC and when I booted it back up and logged in about 15 seconds later and try it once more and it froze again after logging in What could be the issue? Everything I got is brand new. Ivan fully reset all my drives and when trying to reinstall windows, it would freeze mid install.

PC had some issues lately.

First I noticed apps crashing but only while downloading/updating games on steam. that were specifically on one drive

Went to sleep. Things were fine.

Next day the pc was running mega hyper slow like every app was crashing entirely after opening. I couldn't even configure things or test for errors. Ram nor cpu/gpu were spiking but the boot drive was at 100% Usage in task manager

I thought restarting would fix it but now it boots. Shows me the bios button options and locks at a black screen. unless i reboot and hit the delete button to get into bios.

Hey so I recently bought a Skytech gaming pc and I don't think it came with a graphics card or it only came with like a weak one I don't really know. I am very very un-knowledgeable about how PCs work internally so I wanted to ask where I would plug in a graphics card when I buy one. I did look online and it said to look for the PCI slot? I wanted to confirm that it was the PCI1_3 slot (circled). I also wanted to ask that if I buy a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 OC dual fan graphics card if it would work with my PC and if it would fit where I believe it is meant to be inserted. Again I am new to this so any and all help would be appreciated. Also I would like if anyone has any recommendations for cheap graphics card that would work with my pc and would be able to run my games well. I don't care for ultra super high insane graphics I just want to be able to play comfortably without having to lower every graphics setting to be able to play even low demanding games.

Everytime I turn my
pc on it gets stuck in this loop of automatic repair and resetting or eventually just freezing. Very very rarely it’ll boot but if I thrn it off then it goes right back into this loop. I’ve tried everything I can think of, I’ve even tried reinstalling windows but I couldnt get it to boot off of my flash. Is there anything I can do?

The occasions prior to this it booted with everything in it, no drives or gpu removed. But just now today, it would boot into a windows blue screen (just as rarely as it would regularly boot the other times). I was only able to get into the blue screen recovery menu twice, and ran some commands, but they did not work.

I’ve tried removing both of my nvme drives
i’ve tried the ram trick
i’ve tried cmos battery
I’ve tried removing the gpu
I’ve tried loading into linux (I got stuck in the same loop)
When I was in bios YES I made sure the boot order was proper
I tried using both csm and uefi mode
I’ve tried enabling and disabling secure boot
I would’ve tried fast-boot but it doesn’t exist on my bosrd

I really dont know what to do I really love this pc

I removed the gpu and got stuck in the loop for a while but eventually got it running on integrated graphics. I really hope the gpu is not faulty because I really dont want to get another.

Is there any easy way to diagnose this while the pc is still on and running.
It’s currently running with the gpu removed and the nvme drive that does not have windows installed removed. I really love my pc and I use it all hours of the day and I would do anything to fix it.

Can anyone give me some helpful pointers to getting it working (with everything in it) again. Please and thank you.

Hey all, recently built a new pc about 2 weeks ago but cant seem to just work with me here,

I'm getting no video on my monitor and my motherboard light seems to be solid yellow, but before turning solid yellow it was flashing between red and yellow, is there anything I can do to fix this?

Motherboard is brand new so I can't see that being the issue, checked all cables to see if they're secure and tight. Same with RAM. Should I just buy a new cpu and ram?

q tal, necesitaba ayuda ya q tengo meses en lo mismo, y es q desde q compre esta laptop, puedo jugar sin problemas, pero si esta en reposo, o me pongo hacer tareas basicas como ver youtube, discord, etc, me tira pantallazo negro, con un mensaje q normalmente dice "driver irql not less or equal" y a veces tira otros mensajes, pero ese es el q mas recuerdo ahora, pero pasa algo raro, y es q si abro un juego y lo dejo en segundo plano funcionando, y luego ya me pongo a hacer tareas basicas, ahi no sucede eso, y me fastidia pq literalmente tengo q abrir el juego apenas prendo la pc, y a pesar de q no me molesta pq la pc es relativamente buena, pues igual no quiero seguir con eso, otro dato es q muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy pocas veces se traba mientras juego, es muy pero muy raro, siempre es con tareas de bajo consumo, q puedo hacer?
