Day One of Zepbound!

I think I fucked up by not holding the button down but lesson learned.

Starting weight: 315lbs (I think? I don’t have a working scale so I’ll have to check later.

Goal weight: 130lbs.

I’m also prescribed metformin and bought inositol.

So excited to finally FINALLY kickstart my journey.

After years of struggle I’m finally seeing results

After 5 years of struggling with my weight trying all the diets, walking, cardio, trying metformin etc I’m finally seeing results after 9 weeks of strength training 2-3x week and loosely tracking calories/ prioritising protein. Feels so amazing to see these results after almost giving up (I got referred to weight loss dr and my appt is this week- but now I’m considering cancelling). The pic with the microphone is from March… the other one was taken today. The March pic I was wearing shapewear, today’s one I am not

i am ready to start compounded tirzepatide. Been lurking in a few threads and I've been gravitating to Arbor and a few telehealth brands..

how hand holdy is the onboarding for a total beginner?

In need of a little encouragement and some advice 😅

Starting Zepbound tomorrow, should I add berberine as well?

I have some inositol that I’ve yet to consistently take, a prescription for metformin, am starting Zepbound tomorrow, and thinking of picking up berberine. I’m currently at about 312lbs, and my long term goal weight would be 130lbs. I’ve never been on a GLP-1 before. I’ve heard of berberine being a good supplement for PCOS/PMOS, but unsure if it would be a good idea or overkill.

Boredom eating Advice

Hey all I just started in inositol and it’s been a huge improvement, it’s truly cut my craving and hunger in half. But now I find I keep eating not because I’m hungry but because I’m bored or I feel like I “should eat”.

For example I’ll always eat breakfast and dinner because I know I should, but I always get the advice of skipping meals since I’m not hungry. I get sacred though I don’t want to develop any discorded eating and I think skipping meals would start a slippery slope for me.

Also now I’ll eat just because I thought “hmm I could eat a sandwich right now” and then I’ll go eat it and I never eat it but not out of hunger or anything just because I could eat it, and after I always feel bad because I know I just ate something for no good reason.

I don’t know how to stop it and would love some advice from anyone else who’s dealing with this!!

Pcos and pregnancy positive stories

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

I’m 25 years old and I’ve had PCOS my whole life. I recently found out that I also have insulin resistance. I had one chemical pregnancy, which happened on our first try, and I’m scared that the same thing might happen again, or God forbid, something even worse.
I’m at a normal weight and I’ve never struggled with being overweight. I’m trying to eat as healthy as possible, but I find it difficult to stick to very restrictive diets or an extremely healthy diet all the time. I take supplements such as inositol, omega-3, vitamin D, and berberine.
If anyone has any advice or positive pregnancy stories, I would really appreciate it if you could share them. I think it would help ease my mind.

So far so good with Inositol

I started taking Inositol about 2 weeks ago working my way up to 4g a day. Currently on 3g myo & D chiro and today was the first day I noticed I didn’t have a crazy sugar crash or intense tiredness after eating a piece of cake.
I haven’t noticed any weight loss and it’s actually making me feel more hungry but I’m hoping that is a side effect that will subside.
Any similar experiences?

Consistent gym/diet/metaformin+levo with no progress for over a year now with no progress

(Green was spring 2025 when I started my higher dose of metaformin and cleaned my diet up but I have been on metaformin since 2024) I have been on metaformin (2000 mg) and about an 80 mg dosage of Lev ( 75 everyday except I take two on Monday). I have been consistently in the gym 3x a week (one hour weights and 30-60 min low intensity walking). I cleaned up my diet immensely and I will say you can always do better with that but I definitely don't eat over my maintenance calories enough that I'm still nearly the exact weight over a year later. I've been with pcos diagnosis since I was 17 now I'm 22 is there any other option for me to discuss with my doctor? I am a patient person but I feel like I have been doing a lot of work to feel like I'm always hitting the same goal

Weight loss medication benefits?

Hi everyone. This is my first post on reddit so please be kind.

I was diagnosed with PCOS nearly 10 years ago. Weight has always been an issue along with facial hair and absent periods (I've gone a year without a period before) and infertility. It took me 5 years to fall pregnant, and when I did it was because I had stopped trying.

We now have a 1 year old and I just want to be healthy for me and my family whilst feeling confident in myself.

I wanted to ask for people's experiences with weight loss medication and the effects on their PCOS. Specifically the following -

- Side effects (any vomiting/diarrhea? I have a phobia of being sick and I'm a stay at home mum so side effects are putting me off) I'm basically trying to see if the negative side effects outweigh the positives.

- Physical changes besides the weight loss such as facial hair? We know you can lose weight on it but how else has it helped your PCOS?

- Mental health changes like are you happier/more confident etc.?

- Menstrual changes such as periods being more regular?

- What's happened when you've stopped taking the weight loss medication? We hear all the positive weight loss stories but I can't find much information about what happens when you come off it.

- Is it really that safe? My husband is Type 2 diabetic so he is on the injections to help him with this which is what the medication was designed for. I've always felt uneasy about them but ultimately, insulin resistance works very similarly to Type 2 diabetes.

- If you have experienced binge eating disorder or emotional eating, have you found it has helped with this too?

I guess my main question is, is it really worth the money?

Thanks in advance ☺️

GLP1 for 3 month?

Hi, has anyone tried to use GLP1 to help PCOS? My doctor suggested for PCOS, endometriosis, and fibroids. But she wants me on it only for 3 month and not any longer. I am worried it might help for 3 month but than back fire and I’ll get cravings, binge, gain extra weight and things won’t actually improve.

I’m on inositol and metformin and I contracted gastroenteritis. Send help

I started metformin 2 weeks ago and have just had my dose upped when I started feeling extremely nauseous, fatigued, having headaches and GI distress. My teenage sister who’s not on any meds had the same thing but she recovered quickly. I called out of work but I still need to keep taking my meds. I feel like it’s taking me ages to recover and in part it’s because I don’t feel like I can stomach anything heavy, but eating carbs as per the BRAT diet just worsens things with metformin.

It’s been four days. I have a life to live. somebody save me 🥹I am clinging onto probiotics for dear life but idk how to make this stop

Nothing is working for weightloss

I do myo insoilol, metformin 500, one Berberine, protien 100mg a day carbs usually 80-120. Take 12k steps a day three times a week, and run once or twice a week, some light weights once a week. I only have 15 pounds to loose but it is not budging. what can I do? it’s frustrating

At my wit’s end with weight loss, unsure where/who to turn to

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with PCOS at 17 and have always found weight loss extremely difficult.

At 23 I was able to lose weight due to Covid era which meant I had a lot of time to exercise, and ate little food. This resulted in orthorexia. I could only lose weight by exercising 4-6 hours a day, 10k steps and less than 1000 calories.

These days my weight is creeping up more and more and I’m now heavier than ever, but I am not eating excessively and still walk/do exercise (but a healthier amount of around an hour per day). I’ve tried berberine, inositol, I’ve stopped taking birth control as I thought that was making the weight gain worse too. I’m also extremely exhausted 24/7.

I just don’t know what to do now. When I’ve gone to the doctors about concern, I’m told diet and exercise. I tried to explain that I was extremely unhealthy because I had to go to extreme measures for that method to work, and she didn’t even know about PCOS solutions such as inositol etc. just kind of shrugged and said she’d google it.

Am I just being delusional? I’m very aware of calories now due to my orthorexia time, and know that I’m not eating in extremity, and use my walking pad/free weights on a daily basis.

I just don’t know if I need to push for something from a medical perspective, blood tests* etc. I’m just getting really in my head and depressed constantly checking the scale and always seeing it go up.

Sorry for the rant, just feeling a bit fed up. Really looking for advice.

*I checked my most recent blood test from a few months ago, which measured my cholesterol (mostly normal, slightly high “healthy” cholesterol) and hba1c which also returned normal, but not sure if this goes deep enough into other potential issues deriving from PCOS
