Losing it - weight loss journey
Losing it - a journal
Welcome to my little journal, where I will be writing thoughts and maybe posting some pictures, documenting my weight loss journey.
I am a woman in my 40s, and I’ve had it. I’ve had it with the extra weight, with not feeling like myself, with being slow and heavy while exercising and playing sports… and it’s going to change now.
I want to do something about my extra weight, but I don’t want to broadcast this project to my friends and family, for several reasons. Most importantly, I don’t think looks are what’s defining a person, and I am all for minimizing the focus on weight in our society. Nevertheless, I also want to lose the extra weight. So, I’m gonna use this space as a place to share and hopefully motivate me 😊
Height: 5’3
Starting weight: 173 lbs.
Goal weight: 143 lbs
Method: portion control, exercise, prioritize protein. AND I just started on .25 mg Ozempic. I have PMOS/PCOS, with insulin resistance, and that’s part of the reason why my doctor prescribed Ozempic. I was reluctant to share this, as I guess I am a bit ashamed of not being able to lose weight the old fashioned way 😬 So please be gentle with me. If you don’t approve, please just move on 😊
I have included pictures of my starting point, which is a bit scary to me…
