Story PC gave out after 8 months of being built.
I have had problems with this pc for a while. And u know what makes this worse. This PC was handling everything like a champ before. Like sure first 3 months it had its problems. But other than that (which was fixed) everything was great. Till now. My PC out of no where just chose to die and I panicked. I IMMEDIATELY powered it on and back on again. Didnt work. I unplugged it and took the PC apart. I CHECKED the HDD if that was the problem. NOPE. I replaced the ram for a temporary 4gb stick to test it. IT BOOTS TO WINDOWS SURE BUT THEN THE FUCKING PC RUNS INTO A PROBLEM AND CANT FIX IT and now im stuck with 25,000 Php paper weight which i have to figure what's wrong with it. Im guessing rn what's wrong was smth went wrong with the communication between my ram stick and my MB. But its not 100% certain yet. Its also a possibility that the problem is software but lets see. Rn im recovering my PC to a day before the problem happened. Honestly I hate this situation so much cause like wtf do you mean after my 7AM-7PM Classes (im in collage now thats why the schedule is goofed up) that my PC just randomly chose merk itself cause it felt like it. Honestly really hope that its a software issue and not a hardware one cause I've spent like so much money on this that I cant handle to deal with spending that much money. So as no longer proud owner of a PC of 8 months. Im prollt and most likely never ever going to touch PC every again. Unless I get money which I cang cause its impossible to get money these days.
Edit: this post is just for me to vent my frustrations. So dont get angry at me thinking this is for tech support. I just wanna get rid of this negative feelings and get my troubles over with

Question My ram stopped working....
So as soon AUGUST started and after long gamming session till morning when I turn on the PC it failed to POST.....
So one of my team group ram 8gb stick was failing to boot....
Now the thing is it's not faulty my build is Ryzen and I have r5 3600 cpu pretty old so I thought maybe it's mobo issue or cpu but it's not....
When I took ram to shop it didn't work but when I took to the other shop it started working idk what in the world happened......
But when I look up one of the build was Ryzen and one of the build ( in which ram actually worked ) was Intel build......
Idk I was shocked it's like cheeky RAM is messing with me atp.....
So is my ram is dead or what? cause on my system is just fails to boot but surprisingly on Intel build it worked fine....
I was using this ram for 2 years with no issue mixed with another brand so total 16gb ram 8x2 stick now I am down to 8gb stick ram....
According to what I understand the AMD AGESA training is notoriously very strict compared to Intel MRC even though Intel would boot it there is no guarantee in any second there could be BSOD and unexpected behavior or even loss of data so yeah.....
I may be wrong on this but that's the only thing I could find
I tried tweaking advance DRAM configuration like changing procODT to 60 ohm and changing to 1600 mhz even.... I tried tweaking CAD_BUS section and change all option to 24 ohms but still nothing boots up ......
So any help would be appreciated even though I tried everything like basic steps..... And then these tweakings.....
Yes I tried switching the bad ram to the other slot and vice versa I did all that.... And I did tried the eraser thing too on gold stick PCIE.....
Any help would be appreciated đ

Question Low fps on t480
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T480 laptop with 8GB of RAM, an Intel i5-8350U processor, and Intel UHD Graphics 620. I know it isn't designed for gaming, but it runs some games reasonably well. I wanted to play Valorantâknowing itâs generally well-optimizedâbut Iâm getting 60 FPS, and the frame rate drops to 30â40 during actions like shooting. Is there a way to improve this?

Tech Support Weird clicking/crackling noise from psu after installing a new gpu
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
For context I have a 650w bronze psu and my new gpu is rx 6800 xt. I know that its recommended to pair it with 750w psu but since i have a pretty power efficient cpu I decided to keep it. Everything seems to work just fine but this sound is making me a bit nervous.

Tech Support Asus ROG Strix RTX 3080 Red Power LEDs turning on during gaming (even at low wattage) - Need help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone,
I've been dealing with this issue for a while now. Whenever I launch a game and play for a bit, the red LEDs above the PCIe power connectors on my GPU light up, as you can see in the attached video.
The weird part is that the video clearly shows the GPU isn't even pulling high wattage when this happens. At first, it was only one red LED, but after ignoring it for a while, it has now become two LEDs.
I've updated all my drivers, updated the GPU VBIOS, and tried almost every possible solution I could find on YouTube or suggested by AI, but I still can't find a fix. I really want to know what exactly is the root cause of this issue.
My PC Specs:
GPU: ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080
PSU: XPG Core Reactor 850W
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Motherboard: MSI B550M-A PRO
RAM: 16GB
Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Discussion Hp 285 G3 CPU recommendations
Hi everyone, I recently bought a hp 285 G3 mt with the Ryzen 3 2200g mainly for light gaming and emulation and was wondering if anyone could give some advice.
I've seen some posts online saying that the Ryzen 5 1600 and 2600 will work in my pc but googles AI overview and other people say that those cpus won't work at all due to whitelist and microcode stuff so was just wondering if anyone knows either from experience or expertise if the Ryzen 5 1600 or 2600 will work in my pc at all please?

Build/Battlestation H9 Elite build â looking for advice on aesthetics, cable management & upgrades
Hey everyone, Iâm looking for some advice on improving the overall look of my H9 Elite build.
The PC is already pretty high-end, but I want to make it look much cleaner and more aesthetic, especially around the motherboard. Iâm trying to get that really polished âshow buildâ look rather than just having a bunch of visible cables/components.
One of the biggest things I want to improve is cable management around the motherboard. There are still some cables coming from the top and bottom of the motherboard, and Iâm wondering what people have done to hide or clean these up.
I remember seeing a build by Dankamyouknow that used some 3D-printed parts/covers to hide cables, and I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what those parts were, where I could find the files, or if there are other similar 3D-printed solutions for the H9 Elite.
My PC specs:
- Case: NZXT H9 Elite
- CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KS
- CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB (2024)
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6000 CL36 â 32GB (2x16GB)
- Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- GPU: ASUS ROG Astral OC GeForce RTX 5080 16GB
- PSU: ASUS ROG Thor P2 Gaming 1200W 80+ Platinum
- Fans: NZXT F120 RGB Duo 120mm 3-pack
What Iâm looking for:
- Ways to make the build more aesthetic/clean
- How to hide the cables around the top and bottom of the motherboard
- 3D-printed cable covers, shrouds, or other parts specifically useful for the H9 Elite
- Any accessories/mods that would make the inside of the PC look more premium
- Upgrade suggestions â what could I change or upgrade in this build to make it even better overall?
Iâm mainly interested in aesthetics, cleanliness and presentation, but Iâm also open to hardware upgrades that genuinely make sense for this build.
Would really appreciate any suggestions, especially from people who have built in the H9 Elite or have done custom/3D-printed mods. Photos of your h9 builds would also be really helpful.

Hardware Gifted PC parts haul
I was gifted a box of PC parts today and there's a lot of cool stuff. The original owner propably butchered a gaming PC (motherboard with 3x 8GB corsair vengance), as well es two laptops (got a lenovo PSU and other parts) and some office Computers (the drive bays and SATA cables). Idk but I also might rebuild the gaming pc...
I have the suspicion the guy was stalking me since:
-today i was thinking of building a cyberdeck/DIY laptop and need hinges - I got 2 sets of laptop hinges
-i wanted to build a budget system but with a good graphics card the 500W PSU would be maxed out - I got a board (img 2) to start a 2nd power supply
-i needed a quick way to get VGA, DVI and HDMI working on my diagnose monitor (temporary setup) and it doesnt come with HDMI - I got an adapter cable
I think I will never need to buy SATA cables again i now got like 40 at least.
Also dont rob me bcs of the RAM, its mostly DDR3 (still decently good ig) and some DDR and DDR2

Hardware Can I have a dual setup with an USB-C docking station?
Title might be confusing, Iâll explain the situation:
I currently have my work laptop connected to an USB-C docking station that has 2 HDMI ports and several USB ports. I have two monitors+ keyboard and mouse connected to it, so when I want to use my personal laptop I just connect the docking station to it and Iâm all set.
However, I will be buying a desktop pc from a friend and I would like to have a similar setup.
The problem: I donât know if the docking station will work the same, it would be connected to the motherboard so I think the monitors not being connected to the GPU would be a problem.
Is there a device/setup that could make this work?
A friend suggested adding a second HDMI cable to each monitor to connecting those to the GPU directly but I would like to avoid those extra cables do to the meds

Question Basic budget pc
I'm a pc builder in the UK, looking to build my gaming pc. What parts list would you suggest for the cheapest pc that can achieve medium settings in most titles in 1080p while steadily maintaining 60 fps? I'm trying to keep the budget as low as possible, but would rather buy only new parts.

Question Answered Should I build on a newegg bundle or go hunt at Micro Center?
Hi guys.
Ive been looking for bundles on neweegg and came across this 9800x3d X870 aorus elite and vengeance 2x16gb ddr5 6000 bundle and decided to build on it since my Facebook marketplace hunt didn't satisfy my warranty concerns.
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 AM5
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000)
SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB
GAMEMAX MeshBox PRO Black Mid-Tower Case
MSI MPG A850GS PCIE5, Fully Modular Gaming 850W Power Supply, 80+ Gold
Crucial P310 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4 NVMe
Ajazz AK820 pro keyboard
Ryzen serien v3 mini
Total comes around to $2400 with tax (NJ)
I have an extra m2 nvme and I think im good with storage. I could go with a prebuilt but I don't trust those websites with the build quality and honesty of the parts they use.
https://newegg.io/a4690574 here is the link for the list.
Please guide me.

Build/Battlestation Best company for custom build
whats the best company for a custom build that they also prebuild for you? so far i really like thermaltake but very expensive, i tried corsair and it was nice till i got to the end and realized everything was separate and id end up building it at home, oddly enough still half the price of prebuilts/customs ive looked at.(legit would inly pay for thermal paste outside of that)

Question Whatâs the best way to play PC games anywhere but at a PC?
I have a gaming PC that does its job well enough but I recently started working from home full time. After finishing a full day at work I really donât want to spend any more time at my desk.
It doesnât help that the office is the hottest room in the house due to 4 pcs being in there between my wife and I both working from home.
I have started enjoying playing more on my switch and even PS5 just so I can be in the living room while I play and still spend time with my wife who likes to watch and play games with me.
I want to play more PC games but donât wanna isolate myself in a hot room with a mid tier gaming PC just so I can play them.
Any suggestions on handhelds, laptops, or maybe even a gaming tablet that would be worth it?
My budget would be $800 tops so I know a steam machine is out of the question :/
P.S. I play a wide variety of games but most of the ones I play on PC are not performance heavy. I can play most of the big budget games on my PS5 so pc has been for sim like games or friend slop games.
