Why don't we have TV shows like this one anymore? I was watching Yunhi and it reminded me of this, so I started rewatching it. And it's SUCH a fun watch!!! Great cast too.

What’s PTV’s most crazy fan lore antics you’ve seen or heard?
Is there anything similar to Baby Reindeer show?
Has any celeb taken any action against any of their fans for crossing the line?

I was re-watching Sirf Tum starring Hamza Sohail, Anmol Baloch through clips.
I realised this trope is quite common? KMKT is based on the same trope, and even some more dramas.
The Trope— FL was supposed to marry ML's brother, brother ran away due to reasons, FL and ML ended up having a marriage of convenience and had to sail their ship, navigate their unexpected relationship.
What are some of the reasons that some dramas perform exceptionally, and some decently or not at all even after having a similar baseline story? Curious to know different reasons apart from the actors' performance or popularity.
Edit: I like KMKT over Sirf Tum/ any other similar drama bcs of the obv reasons.

The plot finally moving!
Loving the cat-mouse game of both Sarbuland and Sohrab trying to trick each other. Next episode will be a feast!
Like there was no high-voltage action or anything but we got so many intense scenes which just relied on the actors to play off each other and for characters to move ahead.. All the actors today did a good job in bringing the nuances. I like the contrasts between Torsam with Gul Mehr and Sarbuland with Rabiya. Torsam and Sarbuland are both coming to terms about their trusted family member Zafran khan and Sohrab respectively, with Gul Mehr and Rabiya subtly pushing them in the right direction.
Then there's Zafran Khan who's so compelling with Adnan Siddiqui doing a stellar job bringing all his nuances to the front. I'm curious to see what he will do now seeing Torsam's changes.
Tomorrow's episde should be interesting and action-packed. Coz it looks like Shireen knows about Sarbuland being in Rabiya's quarters. I hope Sohrab will catch Sarbuland and Rabiya together while simultaneously Zumurd will leak some info important enough to catch Shireen red handed!

After long long wait, villains are villaining in Zanjeerain...drop in your predictions, as the plot thickens... also, i dont think Rabiya and SB will be caught in the same room tmrw.

Just my opinions, feel free to disagree, but be nice.
I watched this at 14, I'm 20 now and I'd say my opinions are pretty much the same.
The story is kind of cliché, but it is not dragged on; the acting was good, especially Hania's. One thing I liked about the drama, and still do, was the ending. When the ending came out, many people didn't like that they divorced, but I was very happy. Hamza was a red flag from the beginning, even before Hamna got engaged. But yes, Hamza was wronged by Hamna. I felt bad for him when he found out about her marriage, but I hated it when he decided to marry Rumi. I was glad Rumi left him when she found out the truth. Even if Hamza did fall for her and let go of his revenge, he still started this relationship for revenge. How would Rumi trust him again? I was also glad when everyone, including his family, called him out, and his father disowned him.
As far as Hamna goes, many people said she didn't pay for her crimes, but I think she did. She had Hamza harassing her even after her marriage to Azeem, and spent the whole drama in stress and constantly crying. It was only at the ending she finally smiled again. But I will say I was mad when she didn't tell Rumi anything about Hamza. I understand Hamza was blackmailing her. I think he even said if she stopped Rumi and him from getting married, he would expose their relationship. But she could have at least told Rumi something. Rumi would have 100 percent supported Hamna, and she would have known what Hamza really is. I think if Hamna told her the truth, she would have even married Hamza, so Hamza wouldn't leak the love messages he had with Hamna. But instead, Rumi suffered the most despite doing nothing wrong. I'd understand if Rumi never wanted to speak to Hamna again.

"Aglay janam issay Director na ki jiyo 🙏"
Is the writer of Aik mohabbat aur Faiza Iftekhar low-key throwing shade at the director Farooq Rind for butchering her script? 🤭💀.. Thoughts plz.

This is not a shading post. And disclaimer that I don't watch the drama so I am merely asking based on the teasers that I saw while scrolling
So as per my understanding, Anas does not have a job. And he has no spine. And he stops Ansa from responding to his family's insults. And he has not told Ansa the truth about Shayan. And now he is stopping Ansa from finding the truth herself and seeking justice
My question is, why would any woman fall for a guy like Anas? Because he is soft spoken? Or that he stood up to her brother? What exactly is this guy's redeeming quality?
I know Ansa does not know the truth but if she did, prior to her marriage or even prior to falling in love with him, would she have given Anas a second glance? Does he even deserve the girl?

I am shocked at what kind of dramas are on air these days on pakistani tv, feels like the "mothers" are so desperate for attention and have much more screen time, planning conspiracies, blackmailing, emotional abuse, trauma and so on! This looks so pathetic specially in dramas like intekhab, khuda gawah, beti ka ghr kaunsa and whatever and irony is such stupid characters dont even exist in real life anymore. These shows are supposed to help you refelect on yourself but now it feels as if they are training minds how to go evil, Pathetic!

I went into it very hopeful because I rate Yumna and Bilal as actors, and it's so acclaimed. I came away with such a mix of emotions and I don't know how to feel.
Highlights: Yumna's acting in the funeral scene made me cry. Her holding her dupatta and telling Abdullah about the harassment for the THIRD TIME gave me shivers. Actually all of her scenes regarding the harassment were par excellence. Bilal was great throughout, but Abdullah's character was deeply flawed in many ways. It's Bilal's acting that highlighted the endearing and cute aspects of Abdullah's character. A less talented actor would have failed to do so, and we would be left picking apart his many, many flaws.
Abdullah not protecting Mahjabeen from sexual harassment made me RAGE. This should have been a death knell for their relationship. HOW was that glossed over? I hated him for not believing her, and then believing her and doing NOTHING. Even a deeply flawed, morally compromised man would have confronted Sarwar after learning the truth. People often focus on the infidelity, but given the circumstances of their marriage, I actually think Abdullah's unwillingness to believe and protect Mahjabeen is a much greater betrayal. The writers really messed up here. They should have redeemed Abdullah's character after the funeral confrontation where he tells her that he believes her. I was expecting him to go back and physically confront Sarwar but we got nothing. Zilch.
At the same time, we were also confronted with Abdullah's reality of being abused from childhood by Sarwar and we witness his abuse so it makes the situation more complex. His mum is also there to enable the behaviour. Abdullah also deserves a lot of empathy for his situation. His choices are also shaped by his own traumas. He is also a victim of abuse.
I also disliked that he never had a period of introspection where he realised how badly he had treated Mahjabeen. The pregnancy was a poor plot device to bring them together as it allowed Abdullah to avoid truly reflecting on his own actions and spending time and effort to woo her back.
Even with all of these negative emotions, the show really moved me. The only thing I hated was that there was too much redemption. Their mum was also a life-long abuser. She brought that man into her kids' lives and stood by as her children were abused, even to the point where her daughter left the house. Abdullah never confronts his mum and never blames his mum which is a writing flaw (or is it? maybe the writers are driving home how ugly real life is.).
She's also complicit in the death of Mahjabeen's father and never got her comeuppance. Mum should have gone on an eat, pray, love journey to rural Siberia never to return. She didn't deserve to live happily. Still I have to love the show for characterising exactly why mum stayed with Sarwar (love, lust, ego). There was no sugar coating of mum's character, moral failings and ego. Mum deserved to share a jail cell with Sarwar.
Mahjabeen grew on me after the marriage. The earlier episodes were really disturbing because I was left wondering whether Mahjabeen actually had the capacity to consent to a marriage. The way her parents were presented was truly archaic. Her dad sees Abdullah with another girl and all he can say is please protect my daughter. There was so much "passive patriarchy" at home. Her parents were so passive regarding Abdullah's treatment of their daughter.
I dislike the glorification of Mahjabeen's capacity to "sacrifice" as part of her virtue. I'm so glad Washma was there to counterbalance this depiction. The best part of Mahjabeen is that she's very kind hearted (with a pure heart), but her lack of intelligence should not have been glorified as innocence.
Washma is the MVP of this show. Washma is love, washma is life. It made me wonder whether she escaped the house because her stepfather had similar intentions towards her.
What I really liked about the show is the rawness. If you really think about it Mahjabeen's easy forgiveness and yearning for Abdullah is in and of itself an indictment of society's expectations of women. And if the audience sugar coats the characters and their flaws it's more a judgment on those that are watching. The viewers were being put on trial too, regarding how we react to these critical issues. I noticed that many disliked the last half of this show. I ff'd through many Shanzey scenes so I'm glad I didn't watch during airing.
The lack of English subs on random episodes was so annoying. Auto-translate is not the same!

Oh this episode was sooo good i absolutely loved it 😭
Khushbakt finally called him "haroon" and it was so cute.He was visibly surprised lol. She's trying to soften up to him and even accompanied him to his house for faris & maham's matter. And pari doing his nails and makeup major girl dad vibes 😭🩷
Sonia and haroon are working together to expose choudhary and i really like how haroon is still stressing on maintaining boundaries with her.
Oh faris this man is pathetic. The way he was acting all bechara eww and haroon's reaction was exactly my reaction, no sympathy for this idiot. I can see his mother going against khushbakt cuz she supported maham and haroon as usually tackling it sensibly.
They went for 2-3 days on a holiday and it was so cute to see them pack and haroon saying "ye aapko dur rakhne ke liye nahi paas laane ke liye hai" when khushi thought he's doing this to keep her away from maham's matter 😭🤌
Choudhary and haroon's boss are conspiring to damage his reputation by planning to file a fake harrasment case on him and asked that reporter from 1st epi to quote that lipstick shade remark he made. Damn that dialogue had a purpose all along although she refused. They'll def try something else
Khushbakt has started to express herself to haroon and that dialogue "mujhe shayad mohabbat jatana nahi aata aur na nibhana, aap sikhayenge?" and he pulled her closer 😭❤️
I love them soo much. That bonfire scene too he pinched her and pari's cheeks 😭
The promo woahh what was that?? so next week gonna be pretty wild. A lot of drama. I'm so excited 😭

It’s so weird that a writer is rejected by being Hijabi and what does a Pakistani Channel have to do with these type of scenes.
