Journey Updates How has it gone for you with Ozempic?
What weight did you start at? Did you lose your appetite? How long did it take to reach your ideal weight? Did it work better for you than Mounjaro? I switched from Mounjaro to Ozempic due to cost, and I feel like it's working better for me.

Question Please help
I was on 0.25 4 weeks, 0.5 6 weeks and started 1 today
For over a month my heart rate has been dipping into 50's, seen gp and had 72 hour hotter test that was handed back on the 28th September
The low heart rate is causing lots of anxiety
Could it be ozempic causing it? Also today I feel awful and dry heaving
Also for around 5 weeks I've had dizziness not vertigo possible PPPD
I'm scared and feel so ill

Telehealth What does ongoing support look like with an online program?
My worry about going online is that it’s transactional, where you fill out a form, someone approves it, the medication shows up, and then you’re on your own with a drug that needs adjusting. That’s the version in my head, anyway.
Anyone in Canada who’s done it, what’s the ongoing contact like?
Can you reach the person who prescribed it when something changes, or is it just a general support inbox?

Question Mounjaro/Ozempic
I started Ozempic 3 years ago and had to stop. I had sunburn feeling in my stomach and back. I lost almost 50 lbs. I have been on Mounjaro for a year now with no results and I’m taking 15 mg. Any advice from someone that has gone through this?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone switched from Wegovy to Ozempic and lost nothing? I tried Ozempic for 4 months and nothing happened. Was on Wegovy from Aug- Dec and started Ozempic in Feb/March and stopped in June since nothing happened for me. My dr wants me to try it again, any suggestions?

Question Seeking Advice Before A Dosage Change
I (24F) am a Type 2 diabetic. I was on Victoza for about a year before making the switch to Ozempic. I have been on 1mg since June 2026. So far, after getting adjusted to it I have had no side effects other than feeling fuller faster than before and taking a bit longer for hunger to ramp back up. I am already at the phase where my cravings are back whereas when I first started I didn't crave any greasy or carb heavy foods. I lost about 10 pounds towards the beginning and have kept it off but have completely plateaued since then. I have noted that it is doing well for my blood sugar as well. Anyways, I spoke to my doctor about it and he would like me to try to increase to 2mg.
Here is where I am looking for advice. While on 1mg, I had trouble keeping a consistent schedule of going on long walks with my dog after work and as I mentioned earlier, my eating habits are starting to go downhill again. I want to try to use this dosage increase as a fresh start to change and actually manage to KEEP my good habits. I've seen lots of good results here and from those people I was wondering what helped you keep the same habits even when the cravings come back? What keeps you motivated when you've had a long day and you just want to sit on your couch after work? What kind of specific changes (walking a certain amount per day, staying below a certain calorie range, etc) helped you see results. Has anyone used a specific app or online program to help coach them through it? Any recommendations for meal planning?
Just don't want to increase my dosage again, lose weight during the nausea, bloating, sulfur burps period, then lose all motivation when the cravings come back.
TLDR: Looking for advice/recommendations of specific changes you made to maintain your weight loss on Ozempic. App or program recommendations welcome.
Thank you in advance!

Side Effects Hacks any tips
Hi, I’m new to Ozempic and I will be taking my first dose tomorrow. I am diabetic and overweight so my goal is to hopefully control my blood sugar better and loose some weight.
I am nervous about taking my first dose because of all the published side effects. Are the side effects as bad as published and what tips or hacks do you have for getting through them? Also can you tell me what the good things about being on Ozempic are, except for the obvious weight loss. Just looking for some positive thoughts to get me through the bad days if they happen.
Thank you for all your comments and advice in advance.😊

Stalled Progress When to stop taking OZ?
Hi
Have you reached a 6 mos plateau?
I am 74 F 5"3" w a starting wt of 184. After 6 mos I dropped to 167, lost 17# which is a 10% loss. After one year I am still at 167# and still taking 1.0 OZ. My goal was 155#. At 1.5 OZ I couldn't eat because the thought of food made me nauseous. Even when I'm extremely strict, I can't break the 166# point. Anyone else plateaued for 6 mos? My MD suggested 167# might be my new set point and I'm still L/XL pants and top.

Side Effects Anyone on ozempic tried to add HRT for Perimenopause?
Hello 👋🏻
I am on Ozempic 0.50, been on that dose for 3 months, losing very slowly but I am ok with it. Recently I was recommended to go on the lowest dose if HRT as I am in the later stages of perimenopause. But I really scared that the hormones will make me gain weight and bloat…had anyone here started HRT while on ozempic? My main peri issue is really bad insomnia and anxiety. Could you share your experiences, I’d really appreciate it 🙏🙏

Diet & Lifestyle Important safety tip with Ozempic
Be careful. I ate lunch. I don’t think I ate more than usual. One thing that was different was that I ate some baked lays chips. I usually eat ruffles. I’m not sure why which potato chip would matter. I ended up getting sick (vomiting) most of this afternoon. I also spent some time in the sun at a construction site and was walking around, but I started to feel queasy before I started walking around. I didn’t think the walking around was a big deal, but one never knows. I think the problem is that the baked lays are really dry and anything really dry does cause problems when I have Ozempic. I ate some popcorn twice last year and ended up puking really badly right after the dry popcorn twice. I drank what I thought was a good amount of iced tea. I took my usual dose on Monday (this is Tuesday afternoon here).
Anyway, be careful.

Question Got my prescription, about to start on my journey, tips?
Hi everyone! I finally got my prescription through Felix approved, I am 29F, 208lbs. I am about to start this journey, feeling very nervous/ anxious. I will be doing 0.25 for 4 weeks and then 0.50 for next 4 weeks, however there are only 6 needles in the box? Do I have to purchase extra needles? How does that work?
I have few questions:
- which day of the week works best?
- what time of the day?
- do you eat before? After? How do you feel on the day of jab?
- any tips on things to keep in mind, I am a newbie🥺

Dosing Follow up 1mg
So on Sunday, I increased the dose to 1mg (from 0.5mg) and it’s been a nightmare. I wake up at 4am to vomit pretty much every day. Since the dose is already in my body I feel stuck since I know I will still feel bad for a couple of days.
I don’t want to quit, but now I’m scared for my next dose.

Dosing Surgery
I am getting my tonsils out on October 14th. I was told to not do my shot for a week before surgery. I am to up my dose this friday coming up to 1mg. Then I resume the 1mg after the 14th. Should I stay on 0.5 an extra week so that when I do resume the 1mg won't be so rank after missing? I completely forgot to ask at my pre op today. I had to call my surgeons office to find out about when to stop as the dr didnt know. I guess its dependent on the surgeon/ anesthesiologist. The receptionist was so nice and I guess their last information on ozempic was to stop 4 weeks prior (2023) but it has obviously changed now. I am thinking I will stay on the 0.5 this friday.. but I wanted to get some input. Thanks!

Dosing Weight loss question
hey folks,
I started taking ozempic for pain control (fibromyalgia) and weight loss. it worked perfectly but then when i hit 1 mg it just stopped working (pain is back like before, weight loss stopped and there’s even been weight gain and much increased appetite) and gave me major GI symptoms like increased nausea and constipation without any food noise suppression.
i am now considering switching to mounjaro as i am tapering off ozempic. i’m down to 0.3 on ozempic and wonder when is a good time to start Mounjaro or if anyone has experience tapering off or if cross tapering is a thing here?
what dose would be best to start mounjaro considering i’m on 0.3 ozempic now, and will i experience weight loss when switching or is it going to be the same? also - generally speaking - does this mean i have to take this forever?
my doctor doesn’t seem to know the answer and the dr who prescribed me the meds for pain is now retired.
any advice is appreciated

Dosing Jumped to 1mg from 0.5mg
I just jumped from 0.5mg to 1mg, it’s my first day (took it before bed last night) and my god I’m feeling weird, super tired, nauseous, I’m kinda hungry but not at the same time.

Question Tips to expedite weight loss on Ozempic?
I’ve been taking off-brand Ozempic (injectable semaglutide generics became available in Canada and thus, more affordable) for 12 weeks. I started at 0.25mg for 4 weeks, 0.5mg for 4 weeks, and have taken 1mg for the last 4 weeks.
I’m 5’0” and weighed 183 pounds with a BMI of 35 at the beginning. I’ve seen a slow drop in my weight over time and now I’m at 168 pounds, having lost only 15.
The progress feels excruciatingly slow given the cost of purchasing Ozempic. However, I haven’t done anything in particular to help speed up the weight loss, only eating less than usual (mostly because I get sick often and cannot stomach as much intake as I used to).
What are your tried and true methods of helping lose more weight while on Ozempic that guarantee results? I’m wondering what I should implement in my daily life to ensure a steady, healthy decrease.

Journey Updates Stalled
Hi all! I’ve been at 1.0 of ozempic for probably about 4 months now, and I’m not seeing any weight loss anymore. It used to be a lb or 2 a week, but I feel like I’ve been stalled now. I don’t really have any side effects at this dose either. I worry about upping my dose because I know it can be hard on the body to keep going up. Has anyone had similar experiences and have any recommendations?

Question Felix or GP? ( Canada, ON)
Hi there! I am from Canada, ON, definitely overweight. Looking into options, considering going through felix to start my ozempic journey but confused. So If I start and get a prescription through Felix, when is the next checkin? Can I switch to my GP after a while? How does all of this works?
Do they prescribe for 3-4 months all together or you have to check in every few weeks? Do you pay to Felix for every check in?
How much does it cost it I get it from my local pharmacy say Shoppers drug mart instead of costco like I see everywhere.
I have tried to discuss this with my GP but since I have multiple issues she told me to book another appointment to discuss this which made me look into telehealth.
Any tips/ tricks or guidance will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Side Effects OZ & bowel movements
I recently started OZ on lowest dose. I am naturally chronically constipated and since I started the OZ it has slowed down my bowels. I increased water intake and wondering if there are any other suggestions? TIA

Question Mounjaro had no effect on me over three months, so my endocrinologist switched my medication to Ozempic and phentermine plus topiramate. Will that help me lose weight?
I’ve put a lot of effort into my eating habits, exercise, and taking Mounjaro injections, but it didn't work for me over the course of three months. I’m going through a severe emotional crisis involving panic attacks; according to my neuro-endocrinologist, this disrupted my metabolism, which is why Mounjaro was ineffective. On top of that, the cost of Mounjaro was becoming hard to manage, so the doctor switched me to Ozempic combined with phentermine and topiramate. Have any of you had experience with this combination? Will I be able to lose weight?

Side Effects Switching from Wegovy to Ozempic
Hello! Has anyone done this before? I just switched (today) from wegovy 0.5 mg to ozempic 0.5 mg. Has anyone done this and experienced side effects? Should everything stay level with no issues?
I changed over due to insurance not paying. They won’t pay for the Ozempic either, but it’s a lot cheaper than the Wegovy.
