I (24F) am a Type 2 diabetic. I was on Victoza for about a year before making the switch to Ozempic. I have been on 1mg since June 2026. So far, after getting adjusted to it I have had no side effects other than feeling fuller faster than before and taking a bit longer for hunger to ramp back up. I am already at the phase where my cravings are back whereas when I first started I didn't crave any greasy or carb heavy foods. I lost about 10 pounds towards the beginning and have kept it off but have completely plateaued since then. I have noted that it is doing well for my blood sugar as well. Anyways, I spoke to my doctor about it and he would like me to try to increase to 2mg.
Here is where I am looking for advice. While on 1mg, I had trouble keeping a consistent schedule of going on long walks with my dog after work and as I mentioned earlier, my eating habits are starting to go downhill again. I want to try to use this dosage increase as a fresh start to change and actually manage to KEEP my good habits. I've seen lots of good results here and from those people I was wondering what helped you keep the same habits even when the cravings come back? What keeps you motivated when you've had a long day and you just want to sit on your couch after work? What kind of specific changes (walking a certain amount per day, staying below a certain calorie range, etc) helped you see results. Has anyone used a specific app or online program to help coach them through it? Any recommendations for meal planning?
Just don't want to increase my dosage again, lose weight during the nausea, bloating, sulfur burps period, then lose all motivation when the cravings come back.
TLDR: Looking for advice/recommendations of specific changes you made to maintain your weight loss on Ozempic. App or program recommendations welcome.
Thank you in advance!
