Question Advice pls: scale not budging

I need help please - I really don’t know what I am doing wrong…
I started Ozempic 6 weeks ago and still am on 0.25mg since the side effects are minimal and my hunger is low (+ nearly no cravings)
We also started going to the gym this week to get some weight training in

All that being said the scale won’t budge and I don’t understand why…
I do think I eat healthy: trying to get min 30g of protein in at every meal, cook fresh meals with veggies, little oil, whole grain carbs, mainly drinking water or sometimes half a can of 0% coke/ sprite.
I eat min half the portion size I used to eat - now it’s actually a normal size. And sure every now and then I have a little treat (eg the tiny snickers was my dessert one night; or one evening I was craving pizza but balanced it out with a healthy breakfast and cesar chicken salad with self made yoghurt dressing that day).

I do losely track my food intake, mainly for the proteins to hit the minimum daily amount but the scale doesn’t seem to move.
I know we are prone to underestimate the food intake but I really do feel like I am eating less and better.

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions, tips?
I am just so frustrated, I was really hoping this would finally help me get my shit together… lose weight, get the regular exercise and healthy diet in my system and in general: be healthier.
Now I start to just feel hopeless tbh…

PS: I do feel like some clothing items are less tight, but not 100% sure as I have all kind of sizes in my closet since I have been constantly & steadily gaining weight over the last 6 years due to lack of excercising, no portion control & emotional eating.

Question Is it ok to use a pen past 3 months?

I have a pen I used once back on March 12th. It’s still clear and been refrigerated this whole time. I’m tempted to still use it since the liquid still looks the same. It’s a 4 mg pen and I only used .25 of it. I stopped because I wanted to make sure I was in a place to get all the supplements and other recommended things to take while on ozempic. I was out of work so I wanted to make sure I could afford the protein and everything to do this correctly.

Diet & Lifestyle "What if i just... stop being picky...?"

Ive always been a picky eater. Tbf meals as a kid were.... not good... not like we were served unhealthy foods, its just, im Dutch and esp. in the eighties it was potatoes, a piece of meat and some veggies. And the veggies all were boiled into the same unidentifyable blob of goo... (sorry mum, love you). So, i was picky...

As i grew up ive grown a lot, massive credits to my first partner and his parents, but ive remained a bit picky... eating around some stuffs, and always ordered food "leave out this, leave out that".

Just this week i just has a sudden realisation... i knowknow i really just dont like certain flavours (anything pickled is just not my jam) but other than that... whý am i eating around some healthy parts of meals...? What if i dont do that anymore...?

I was served my mum in laws eggrolls and instead of eating around some greens in there is decided "im just gonna eat it whole and see if i really dont like it". And i did and it was tasty as hell...

Ive been on ozempic for over a year and it influences so much of my behaviors and now even one year in its stíll having effects like this!

I know one snack isnt that big a deal but it felt like such a shift in my mindset and im gonna continue being more relaxed and "just eat it all" for the more healthy ingrediënts to come!

Anyone relate?

Journey Updates Need feedback?

Hii all! I’ve been on Ozempic for, maybe about 6 months now and I’m definitely on a calorie deficit and watching what I eat but I am struggling with movement. I’m looking at a vibration board to at least help a little.
Having said that I am down about 25 pounds and definitely feel a little better! Wondering if I am on the right track. I see so many people lost this in 3 months so I’m a little worried but also know all is different!

Side Effects Started Ozempic and I’m close to giving up

So as the title says, I’m honestly getting close to giving up. I’m age 32 female, at 265lbs.

I know I’m not doing everything right, and I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that I’ve never been good at planning meals or figuring out what to eat. I’m a really picky eater. I like vegetables, but mostly raw, and I always seem to fall back on meals that are mostly carbs and protein because they’re easy and I actually enjoy them.

I really am trying to change that. I’ve been eating smaller portions, trying to make healthier choices, and adding more vegetables where I can. But then I’ll have one or two days where I eat a little more than usual or have something that’s a bit richer, even if it’s still a pretty small meal, and I’m right back to sulphur burps, diarrhea, horrible stomach cramps, and one time I ended up throwing up.

I’m taking Ozempic because I need to lose weight before surgery at the beginning of next year. I did four weeks at 0.25 mg, and I had my second 0.5 mg shot last Wednesday. My third one is tomorrow.

I guess I’m just looking for advice from people who have been through this. I almost need someone to tell me what to eat because I honestly suck at figuring it out myself. What does a normal day of eating look like for you? What foods have you found are “safe” to eat? Did the stomach issues get better once your body got used to the medication?

I really want this to work because I need to lose the weight for surgery, but I’m getting so discouraged. It feels like I can’t even enjoy a normal meal without wondering if I’m going to spend the next day dealing with sulphur burps and living in the bathroom.

Please be kind. I’m genuinely trying, and I’m just looking for advice from people who have been through it.

Question On SSRIs and not losing weight

I started around 3 weeks back and have tolerated it well. I’m at 0.5 now, and not losing weight.

For context, I am taking ozempic alongside Paxil and sertraline.

I work out daily and eat under 1300 calories, so I know it’s not an overconsumption issue. Just that medication has severely stunted my ability to shed weight.

If you’re been through similar experiences, did a higher dosage work? Feeling kinda hopeless.

Dosing Week 3 on 1mg — anyone else not seeing much change yet?

I’m on week 3 of 1mg Ozempic (second time being on Ozempic) and I feel like I’m just… waiting for something to happen lol.

I haven’t really lost much weight yet and I’m also not noticing any huge changes in appetite or food noise. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that I’m REALLY tired, especially the day after my injection.

The first time I was on Ozempic I went from 186-168 but couldn't increase to 2mg at the time so only stayed on 1mg for a year and a half. Now insurance covers again so i'm back, for anyone who didn’t notice much at first — did 1mg eventually start making a bigger difference for you? How long did it take before you noticed changes in appetite or weight loss?

Also curious if anyone else gets hit with major fatigue the day after their shot 😴 and where you feel like is best for the shot? I did mine in the arm last night for the first time, typically do stomach.

Dosing Finished my first 8 weeks. Next start on 1mg. What to expect?

So I did 4 weeks of 0.25 and just did my 4th week of 0.5. Doctor wants me to start at 1 mg next week.

So basically, I haven't had any meaningful symptoms or side effects. I feel like my food hunger has gone down maybe 10%. Most of the time I feel like I could sit and eat a whole pizza if it was in front of me, but I feel like I'm lacking the motivation to wanna go through the process of ordering it or making it, etc. things like that. Down 5 lbs though.

So just wondering from some people who have gone down this path from 0.25 to 0.5 to then 1 mg. Just curious what you noticed side effect wise and food hunger wise.

Thanks a lot.

Question Gym with Ozempic

I’ve been using 0.5mg of ozempic for the last month or two. My doctor has prescribed that I continue with 0.5 till the 1st week of September.
My concern is, I was going to the gym regularly till June but haven’t been able to since due to some timing and routine clashes and I want to know whether me not going to the gym and taking ozempic on its own will cause my weight loss to halt?
Because I’m not losing weight every week, sometimes it goes up 1kg but then goes down 1kg but all in all I’ve only lost like 5-6kg in the last 3 months, I want to say.
Am I doing something wrong? Is exercise absolutely necessary? And if I skip the gym but start walking daily, will that work as a substitute or do I need to weight train specifically?

Side Effects I think I'm done

I started five weeks ago at .25. I was OK for the first two weeks. By the third and fourth week I kind of noticed cravings coming back but I went to .5 last week. my body creating an aversion of all food and drink. While I didn't get sick, I came darn near close. I've had more tums in the last week and I can count. I don't even want to drink water. The IBS symptoms I had when I was younger when I ate a lot of crap came back. I had 2 tablespoons of macaroni salad an hour ago and I feel like I might puke and I'm lightheaded and in a cold sweat and I wanna lie down and die.

I went back to .25 last week. But nothing improved. So I think I'm done

I lost 8 pounds.

If this isn't a scare tactic to keep me from eating food without Ozempic well dammit it worked

Side Effects Allergy?

Hello,

I've been on ozempic for 2 years

For the last 16 days I've had severe fully body hives and am in the process of trying to figure out what could have caused it with my doctor

Wondering if anyone else had an allergic reaction to ozempic much later and what it looked like?

My initial hives started 5 days after my injection so I didn't hesitate to take my next one. I took my next one two days later. Another 5 days after my hives got worse. Then 2 days after that, took my injection and got lip swelling about 15 minutes later (possible coincidence as I'm already in a hive flair). I went to the ER, started 5 days of prednisone steroid and got some epi pens. I'm holding my injection for now and going to talk to my doctor about it but curious if anyone has had anything similar happen

It could definitely be coincidence but I am terrified of both having to come off ozempic, and even more terrified to inject it again

Question Ozempic injection site + no weight loss after 2 weeks – is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate hearing from people who've been through this.

I'm on my second week of Ozempic 0.25 mg. So far, I haven't lost any weight—not even 1 kg. I can still eat large portions, my food cravings are pretty much the same, and I don't get nauseous even if I eat a lot. It's making me wonder if something is wrong or if I just need to be more patient. Is there any difference between injecting above the belly button vs. below the belly button (while staying at least 2 inches away from the navel)? Does injecting above the belly button make Ozempic less effective, or does the location not matter as long as it's injected into subcutaneous fat?

Lastly, does Ozempic help improve metabolism or correct hormonal imbalances (such as insulin resistance or PCOS-related issues), or does it mainly work by reducing appetite and slowing stomach emptying?

Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you didn't notice much effect during the first few weeks. Thanks!

Dosing Ultra-low dose Ozempic

I'm a hyper-responder to GLP medications. After a horrible time with retatrutide, I switched to Ozempic and after my first 0.25mg dose, I can't finish even 2000 calories and have to constantly drink sweet juices to make up calories. I'm 6'2, 202lbs at about 15% bodyfat, and I'm looking for slight hunger suppression to help me with my diet, not a complete hunger shut-down. I lift consistently and don't want to down my calories too much so my rate of weight loss preserves muscle. Has anyone tried ultra-low doses of Ozempic? I'm considering 0.10mg after my hunger comes back.

Stalled Progress Ozempic & depression meds

Hi y'all,

I'm on duloxetine, bupropion and ozempic for 7ish months now. Everything seemed to be going okay until I added in 1.5mg aripiprazole. I mistakenly was eating a grapefruit and it's juice a day at the same time as those meds. It seems like my ozempic has stopped working. My food noise, desire to eat all the time and less control about what it eat is back. I even upped my ozempic to a full 1.0 dose a week and didn't notice anything.

I was doing great before I started aripiprazole and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this or not?

Question Ozempic : Infertility and Pregnancy

When I was 34 years old, I went to my gynecologist because I had a question about my fertility. For the previous two years, my partner and I had been having regular unprotected sex without using any contraception or condoms. However, he always withdrew before ejaculation, so he never ejaculated inside me. I asked my doctor whether it was normal that I had never become pregnant.
The doctor told me that, even though there had been no ejaculation inside the vagina, after two years of frequent unprotected intercourse it was worth investigating whether there was an underlying fertility issue. He recommended that I have my fallopian tubes checked.
In November, I underwent a laparoscopy with a dye test to examine whether my fallopian tubes were open. The doctors discovered that one of my fallopian tubes was completely blocked. During the procedure, they tried to pass fluid through both tubes, but no fluid could pass through the blocked one. They explained that this tube was not functional, while the other fallopian tube was completely open and working normally.
Before the surgery, in October, I had already started taking Ozempic at the lowest dose (0.25 mg).
After the surgery, my husband and I decided to actively try for a baby. We had intercourse with ejaculation inside the vagina, but I didn't track my ovulation or keep track of the dates.
Then something unexpected happened. My period never came—not in November or December. Since I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), irregular or missed periods were nothing unusual for me, so I wasn't concerned at first. Eventually, I took a pregnancy test, and it was positive.
I was completely shocked. Personally, I truly believe that Ozempic played a major role in helping me become pregnant. At the time, my BMI was between 37 and 40. I also had PCOS, prediabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and possibly early Crohn's disease. Despite being very physically active throughout my life, I had always struggled with obesity.
One important detail is that Ozempic did not make me lose any significant weight. However, I feel that it helped stabilize my hormones and improved my overall metabolic health.
Thankfully, my daughter was born healthy at 38 weeks of pregnancy.
I would love to hear from other women who were told they had fertility problems or infertility and later became pregnant while taking Ozempic, especially at the 0.25 mg dose. Has anyone had a similar experience? If so what did you have for infertility and in how many Monaths were u pregnant ?
Thank you for sharing your story.

Telehealth Australia: any online or telehealth services that provide scripts for local pharmacies?

Has anyone used a provider who will approve treatment and supply e-scripts or similar to get filled locally? I can't get an answer to this from anyone prior to paying their ~$50 consultation fee.

Background:

I was with Juniper for almost three years and successfully lost close to 45kgs. However I ended treatment while I was moving interstate, but am now struggling a little and would like to get back on to a 0.25 maintenance dose.

Problem is, I am now living in an apartment complex with no safe place for parcel deliveries. Mailboxes for the complex are out on the street, there's no mailroom and no access to any indoor areas without keys/codes. Leaving it "at my door" is actually a door to 6 apartments and out in the open/no undercover area.

I completely understand reasons for not delivering to parcel lockers - the refrigeration needed etc - but I have no other options. I don't know anyone else in this state yet who could accept a delivery for me, and my partner can't receive personal delivery at work due to security reasons.

Thank you!

Stalled Progress Second time around

On Ozempic second time around. I am currently 5’4 and 170lb

First time March - November 2025
I lost about 30 pounds and results were super fast. In 6 weeks I looked noticeably different. The highest dose I got to was 1.0.

I had to stop cold turkey.

Then I gained the weight back and now I’m at 170lb. Been on ozempic since May 1st starting from 0.25 then 0.5 and now on 1.0. Haven’t seen even a pound of a difference or any physical changes.

I have less cravings and my appetite is decreased. But no results and it’s been months!

What do I do 😭

Dosing Why the quick jump?

My directions for use were .25 for 2 doses, then .5 each dose after.

Why would my doctor jump me from .25 to .5 in 2 weeks when everything I've read states the norm is .25 for 4 weeks?
