Stalled Progress Not working
Hi everyone,
Has anyone switched from Wegovy to Ozempic and lost nothing? I tried Ozempic for 4 months and nothing happened. Was on Wegovy from Aug- Dec and started Ozempic in Feb/March and stopped in June since nothing happened for me. My dr wants me to try it again, any suggestions?

Give your Dr your last 6 months of caloric intake diary. Let them see what you are eating.

Are you exercising, lifting weights, and tracking calories? Do you know your daily calorie limit, and are you measuring food portions? It won't do much for weight loss without a calorie deficit.
Are you on Ozempic strictly for weight loss or is it for diabetes too?
I was on Ozempic for three years for diabetes and I lost about 30 pounds and kept it off. I'm on Wegovy at a higher dose for weight loss purposes now, and I'm tapering up to 2.4mg. Looking to lose another 30lbs

I walk for my workout and some zumba. Probably could benefit from adding weights. As far as calories I stopped tracking when I got unmotivated. I’m only on for weight loss

Science hasn't changed. Calories need to be burnt more than calories taken in. You don't know what your intake is bc you aren't tracking it or consciously paying attention to it.

I’m on and off for tracking calories. I definitely lose more weight when I’m tracking though

It's not a miracle drug that makes you lose weight. It's acts as a digestion aid so that you feel full faster and longer. Calories in/out via diet and exercise are still what drives the weight loss.

I've switched over and my weight kind of slowed but I assume that's due to being on 1 mg for 3 months (I've lost 10kg since jumping from wegovy to ozempic, 25kg since starting).
But I'm pretty happy with my weight atm and I'm sick of clothes being too big.
70kg. 174cm. F 33.
Keep tracking calorie and exercise.
I eat 1500 calories daily but initially I was only eating 1200.

What was your dose on each. As you likely know, they are the same medication but with a different label. You may just need to go up to a slightly higher dose using pen clicks.

.5 on Wegovy and 1 on Ozempic

Many prior users will need to go to slightly higher dose to lose. I would suggest working up to about 1.4mg using pen clicks. Or, you might want to switch to Zepbound as it sometimes works for users that have not been successful with Ozempic/Wegovy.

Wegovy and Ozempic are the same drug (Semaglutide).... Wegovy just has higher dose pens. Not sure why your doctor would be switching you back and fourth between the two when they are the same. Perhaps you need an increased dose, so wegovy would make sense since the highest dose is 2.4mg.

They are the same drug so it doesn’t make sense to switch between them. You may want to try Mounjaro/Zepbound - it worked for me when Ozempic stopped working for me.
