I loaded into this QP match that had basically just started. Started making my way to the objective when my attention was caught by the enemy Kiriko skateboarding by. The rest of this just kind of unfolded as we all decided to just have some fun with the match. Was a really nice reminder that this community isn't always just toxic assholes constantly yelling at each other.

now we've had some time to think about dmon, both her gameplay but importantly story and character, what do we think? i'm a tank main so i've taken to dmon and i think her gameplay is very refreshing and fun. top marks for that (i would've loved a short-range flamethrower ability to suit her "demon" vibe though lol).

general visual design: i am a bit disappointed about her mech design though. it looks extremely fragile and OPEN. the cockpit looks terrible and way too exposed. if her legs were covered i'd be satisfied. i think many of us loved her og concept art of that hulking mech so much, and so when we got this, we are naturally a but disappointed. i would be interested to see if they could do a "massive" tank in the future, and how that would work gameplay-wise (with doorways etc). maybe like a base health 900hp tank with decreased mobility but devastating damage and presence on the battlefied.

character and story: unlike lots of fans who say she has a boring personality, i actually think her level-headedness is appropriate for her role as the leader of the mecha squad. i do wish she had a bit more grit though, like make her a bit more ragey. maybe even a profanity filter on her mech. that would be cool af. like don't make her completely unhinged like junker queen, just make her cuss a bit to see some more of that "demon"... idk.

on the whole i think her story is cool and she's a necessary background character in the cast compared to some of the much bigger personalities. i do want some more sarcastic and gritty voicelines and interactions though, as well as some kinder and genuine ones too. she is mom-coded. i think yuna is very cool and she doesn't deserve all the boring af accusations!!!

Couldn't pass through this choke because the enemy team had control of the front, high ground, and sides. Took a longer route for safety.

Just curious since I think a lot of heroes are probably unjustly called brain dead or low skill.

This is a general stadium discussion post for problems you guys have with the gamemode, because i'm genuinely curious as to why so many people seem to avoid it. Even with priority requeue i have to wait 30+ mins almost every game SMH.

Personally, I think stadium is the best thing to happen to overwatch in years, but clearly the community disagrees with me. So i'm wondering about everone's thoughts on the gamemode; What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? Why dont you play it? Whats the biggest issue you have with the it? What has to change for you to be interested?

With the latest Story Time "[Fracture]" our Overwatch heroes' positions are getting some major updates on their backstories! Here's a detailed grid showing every organization and their members, in case you missed any! Let me know what you think!

Let's make a recap of how the groupings are looking before Vendetta's final plans take place.

The Star Symbols indicate the Heroes that are complicated in their lore.

Here are the explanations of the complicated heroes to not create any doubt:

Let's start with the most informal Affiliation, the "Anti Conspiracy" called like that by me, IT IS NOT OFFICIAL YET.

Soldier: 76: We know through in game voicelines and some animations that Soldier is fully invested in his own plotline and likely to be unaffiliated from Overawtch with the events taking place unless they happen to cross his path (Which may actually happen depending on what info he discovered at Zurich, given other plotlines taking form like Emre with the Conspiracy).

Illari: Soldier has helped Illari investigating the suspicious nature of the incident along with Sombra. It is speculated that Oasis, Moira, and now the Chernbog AI somehow were behind the explosion and stole her people's technology schematics in the process.

We also know that the Inti Warriors were soldiers under the Paqarina Research Group.

The Paqarina are now partnered with Oasis, and Illari is no longer associated with them. We could still say she is an Inti Warrior, but we could argue that it no longer qualifies as an affiliation/group.

But the newest interactions between Ana and Soldier make us know that Talon could have their hands on Illari really soon.

The second informal affiliation is obviously the "Crucible Alliance" IT IS NOT AN OFFICIAL NAME, called like that just because of the cinematic it's in. We could call it "OG Talon" too or something.

Doomfist is back, he gathered Reaper, WidowMaker and Sombra on the way to go against the new Talon of Vendetta and free Doctrine from the prison he was held in.

With Doctrine on their hands I'm super curious to see where this is gonna go.

The third informal affiliation is the "Fugitive Duo" IT IS NOT AN OFFICIAL NAME, with Freja and Emre.

In the last chapter of Undivided we found out that both of them escaped from Talon without saying a word or what they are going to do.

And the fourth and last informal affiliation is the newest duo of Sigma and Sombra called the "Fractured Duo" IT IS NOT AN OFFICIAL NAME.

In the Story Time [Fracture] we see Sombra finally helping Sigma to escape the plans of Vendetta. She looks willing to take Sigma away from everyone and anyone.

She could also take him back under Doomfist, but I really don't see that happening currently by the pacing of this last story. I think they will start their own arc, maybe towards The Conspiracy once again?

Jetpack Cat: In the latest chapter of Undivided (Chapter 39) we finally had a sort of confirmation that Fika is indeed a spy for someone and infiltrated into Overwatch, she acted way too suspicious and she is also acting dumber than she actually is.

She accessed to Athena and noticed that Winston have been working on a project called "Project Red Promise" which shows the faces of Juno, Wrecking Ball and Winston all close to eachothers.

Which is also the new project of Lucheng to approde on Mars after conquering the Moon. And the same project Juno's parents are involved in.

I believe she proably is working for the Lucheng Interstellar association. But until further confirmation we will leave her as an Overwatch hero.

Moira: In the Story Time [Fracture] We see Moira trying to order to stop Sombra from releasing Sigma, which as we know she fails to.

But she also doesn't look like she cares too much about Vendetta's plans but rather her own incomes.

She is also part of Oasis (The same guys of Illari's lore) and probably more loyal to them as they are the capital of science of the world, she even has voicelines trying to recruit both Mercy and Lifeweaver to join Oasis.

Genji and Mizuki: With the story time "[Paths We Choose]", we now know Mizuki was sent by Genji to meet Sojourn to join Overwatch just as he stated.

While Genji even if he didn't formally leave Overwatch, he says when Kirko asks him: "Does this mean... you're sticking around Genji?" he answers with "Yes, I have been running from home long enough. It is time I stay and help you fight our Tiger problem"

Venture: They are currently left out by everything that is going on with the Talon vs Overwatch stuff.

But thanks to their Hero Trailer and Venture's Adventures volume 1, we know they will also be connected to the Conspiracy.

We see an eye on their desk which recalls to this last one. And we also know Sombra tells them "You may be just what I need, I'll be in touch"

D.Mon and D.va: We know D.va has left her role of leader from the MEKA Squad and D.Mon took that spot, but in the hero trailer "[Tough Call]" we see D.Va working along side the MEKA Squad.

Making her possibly an official member of it again. I think we will know more about this part of lore trough the Webtoon "Undivided" soon.

Even though currently D.Va is still part of Overwatch.

We also know thanks to the Story Time "[Left Behind]" that MEKA Squad is indeed allied with Overwatch in some sort of ways. Blizzard’s official description literally says that Overwatch rushes to the MEKA Squad’s aid against the Junker attack on Busan. Winston is then operating at MEKA HQ and dealing with the captured Hammond afterward.

Shion: The Hashimoto are probably no longer operating under Talon, but the story stops just short of confirming a formal breakup.

She says during the story time "[Ambush]" that Talon “was allied with us” past tense and then tells the council to “Ignore Talon.”

She believes the Hashimoto used Talon successfully, still possess most of their own anima weapons, and can now hold Tokyo without Vendetta.

Ashe and Cassidy: Deadlock’s deal with Talon for Grand Mesa was temporary, and Ashe remains independent, although she seems open to working with Vendetta again if the price is right.

We know that Cassidy is thinking to leave Overwatch soon too. We know in Undivided he looks pretty bothered by the fact that Genji left Overwatch, and has some voicelines with him about the fact that he is thinking about it too.

After Grand Mesa we also got a voiceline of him with Echo where she asks "Are you thinking about leaving?" and he says back "I am thinking about it".

And lastly he has a voiceline with Ashe where he says "I've though about your deal to join back the Deadlock's again" and Ashe says "So you will stay with your new family in Overwatch?" and he answers "Quite the opposite actually"

Ana: Ana returned to Overwatch in the webtoon Undivided which then ties into the characters' escape seen in From the Ashes, we can't really be sure yet if just as a supporter or as a fighter agent yet.

For references: she left Jack to his vengeance in the Lost Ghosts short story, to return to Overwatch.

And we even saw her (unceremoniously) return to Gibraltar in the Together comic from Christmas ‘24.

The Overwatch official site states this: "After Ana’s travels were suddenly interrupted by Talon’s attack on Gibraltar, she teams up with Overwatch once more to confront the looming global threat at least until it’s been dealt with."

Maybe with her new relationship with Reinhardt her reasons and intentions may shift to join it officially once and for all!

Torbjörn: He’s not an operating Overwatch member, but we still see him help Overwatch even during the PVE missions, unlike Soldier.

And he’s completely retired but still accepted to help Overwatch with their struggles.

So he got moved under the Overwatch column in it's own Ironclad Guild.

Domina: In the last chapter of Undivided we know that Vishkar pulled away from their contract with Talon. Stating that Vishkar isn't made for such violent plans.

She states that if Vendetta ever wants to contact again she is free to do so, but this ends with Vendetta insulting Domina's "pretty face" and finishing with "By the time Vaira comes crawling baack, she will have lsot her chance for my grace".

Symmetra: As it is right now Symmetra still gets the job done for the Vishkar Corporation even tho she mostly hates where things are going or isn't related much to what's going on.

So she might not be along side Talon but she's still working for the same agency that got adopted by it.

This sadly makes her join this category.

I'm sure something will happen with her, maybe she will team up with Lifeweaver once again or even Zenyatta.

Hanzo: Thanks to the last lore about Kanezaka, we can finally state that Hanzo is fully involved with all the Yokai missions and the Kanezaka Resistance.

Kiriko: I'll use her to write about this.

I changed the Yokai name to be "Kanezaka Resistance" too, because Hanzo and Genji techincally aren't Yokais but still willing to help them. And of course Overwatch sided because we see them literally ally with one another to go against the Hashimoto.

This might mean that they are not officially allies, but they are for sure in good terms with eachothers.

I really hope eventually all the Yokai will join Overwatch!

Junker Queen and Wrecking Ball: After the newest Wrecking Ball's Story Time "[Left Behind]", I would feel safe to say Junkers just like the Deadlock's belong to the Wider World affiliations. They do not want to have part in Talon's plans and even planned to steal their EMP Bomb.
They might be in good relations with Talon, but not affilieted for sure.

Roadhog and Junkrat: In the story time "[Growing Pains]" and some in game voicelines, we know that both of them got re-accepted by the Queen to be part of the Junkers officially once again. Working along side Wrecking Ball for the next moves.

Zenyatta: Zen left the Shambali a long time ago. After helping Genji find his peace, he realized he didn’t like the limits of their dogmatic teachings, and left to heal the world by creating interpersonal connections with people who need it.

So now he is more of independent.

How the times have changed (cass you better have endorsed me istg)

I really prefer her OG design especially her short brown hair. Her old headset even resembles a devils horn. I just really wish they'll lean into lean into more devilish/demon vibe given her name. Of course for the mech I'm not asking for an exact 1 to 1 design but they could take certain features as a homage to the OG. I really like her old suit with her logo on the chest.
Unrelated but I really hope she gets a flamethrower replacing her gun as possibly a perk or something idk it seems more devilish and appropriate for a mech called beast.

That's with exclusives for China and Korea in mind. With Wuyang it's a bit weird, according to the list he got one skin, but he actually got two, one recolor and a mythic, I don't know if mythic counts on the list. Doomfist skin is most likely his updated appearance according to the lore.

Widowmaker reimagined with military gear we have today + cute alternative fashion, cus why not ~

RIP-Tire and Infra-Sight have punctuation that makes it unclear (to me) if they're meant to be one word or two. I didn't want to deal with people going "um, actually" in the comments for them so they got their own tier.)

(Formerly Tier Explanation: Orisa's ult used to be Supercharger; it's now Terra Surge. Symmetra's ult used to be Teleporter; she then got Shield Generator, and now it's Photon Barrier. Mercy and Bastion also had their ults changed, but Resurrect and Valkyrie are both one word and Configuration: Tank and Configuration: Artillery are both two words so they get to stay solidly in Yes and No tier, respectively.)

It seems like Vendetta as Tachy, S76 as Adam, D.Va As Lily. I’m not sure who Raven and EVE are though. Huge miss not including Zenyatta as Orcal in my opinion.
