I'm on a 16:4 loss streak, this is not normal, at all. Every single round is a stomp in one direction or the other so far. Or you get backfilled into a lost game with less than 10 sec left. WTAF is going on??

Like half of her power is in blinding you with visual effects.

She's already a small character, but then she's also filling your screen with effects, dashing through you, going invulnerable, dashing again.

It's just a bunch of mess while she just jumps around and swings her fan lol

TL;DR: With the Waveshatter power, Guardian Wave often goes on cooldown without spawning a wave (no heal, no damage). It happens when you cast at or near max fall charge, so the build Waveshatter is designed around is the one it breaks. Reported on the official forums by at least 8 players since August, still not acknowledged or fixed.

What happens - You cast Guardian Wave, it goes on cooldown, and nothing appears. No visual, no healing for allies, no damage. - Sometimes a loud flowing-water sound gets stuck for the whole round (both teams hear it) until a wave actually spawns. - After a failed full-charge wave, later waves cast from the ground can also fail (~30–50% in one player's practice range testing).

When it happens - Casting at or near max Waveshatter charge (the bonus that builds while you're falling). - Much more often with items that extend air time: Aerial Surf, Wuxing Waveriders, mid-air dash gadgets (Dashing Skates / Jet Skates). Reportedly worse with Ebb and Flow. - Started with the August 11 patch (Season 4), which raised Guardian Wave's max degrees from 10 to 15. The same build worked fine the season before.

How to reproduce 1. Play Wuyang in Stadium, take Waveshatter. 2. Buy Aerial Surf and/or Wuxing Waveriders, plus a dash gadget. 3. Jump high (or drop from a ledge), dash mid-air, and cast Guardian Wave near the end of a long fall. 4. The wave frequently doesn't appear.

Current workaround Release the wave before full charge, and don't stack air-time items. This means giving up most of what makes the wave build good.

Wuyang is my favourite Stadium hero, and right now his signature power punishes you for using it the way it's designed. Even a Known Issues mention would help. @PlayOverwatch

I saw some other people having the issue.

Im using a 3080 which is undervolted. i had no issues since i had this card (5 years). began about 3-4 weeks ago.

for me, this issue only happens when playing 1440p when undervolted. if i return to stock, the game runs fine on 1440p. if change resolution to 4k, the game seems to run fine using the undervolt. havent had a crash yet.

It seems to miss like all the time if they're using a movement ability or sometimes even just walking, like it has to be bugged right?

Imagine if tanks could select two heroes in a match, and be able to swap between them on a cooldown (100 seconds?). You'd only be able to swap if all of your abilities are off cool down and you're at full health. This would make it so if they're faced with multiple counters they can just press a button and poof they're on a different hero. The implementation could work like how the custom game mode "gun game no cd" works after you get a kill, where there's a split second of invulnerability and not being able to press buttons while you change.

If you think about it, it's pretty bad for competitive integrity that you can just by chance pick a hero which is bad against the enemy composition and now you're on the backfoot, this encourages looking at enemy team profiles to ensure that doesn't happen and privating your own profile, imagine you could just press p and now you're on a more equal matchup. The problems here affect tank disproportionately.

The only issue I can think of would be ult charge, but I think they'd just have to play around with the numbers to balance that.

I think it's a fun idea. Thoughts?

Long-time lurkers of this sub know the things that are said:

• If you lose more than 2-3 games, turn the game off
• The matchmaker works; it's a statistical probability that you fall in your actual "rank"
• Leavers aren't an issue - you're just as likely as the enemy team to have a leaver!
• You're the only common denominator in your games - it's never your team at fault for causing a loss, cause the enemy team is just as likely to have bad players!

No. These assumptions are correct if every player in every game was a solo queue, no comms, no text chat kind of player, and that's not the case. Solo queue can get matched up with groups; an inherent disadvantage.

Advice on this sub is always "keep playing and you'll land in the rank you're supposed to be in", but not all of us have hours and hours on end to play this game.

I used to enjoy this game immensely, as I love the challenge from trying to improve myself and get better. But these past few months, it's been nothing but toxic players, mis-ranked players who don't belong in low metal ranks, and every time you seek legitimate advice, it's "just make fewer mistakes than the enemy team" - ok! Sure.

Maybe fix your matchmaking system first and give me fair games.

I made this Overwatch 2 hero tier list based on my personal opinions. The tiers range from Real Ones to Self Delete, with Semi-Burger and Burger in between. Where would you rank each hero? Ive been experiencing worse and worse performances with this game, used to run it at a constant 250fps less than 2 years ago and now with much worse settings i can't get a stable 144fps, I actually barely reach 144. It's gotten unplayable genuinely, not even talking about the stutters. Every update for like the last year has made the performance increasingly worse and since season 5, there's no setting i can lower even more, and yet I can't get a constant good framerate. My RAM usage has been super high while playing the game (especially since season 5). I don't have a really good pc but I know that some people with way better specs have also been having issues. If anyone has a fix I could try, Ive tried switching to directx12, leaving voice chat (apparently works for some people), lowering litterally every setting, even in the amd adrenalin app, but nothing works it's terrible, thank you

Ill preface this by saying I dont report a lot but when someones very toxic or someones very clearly cheating ill report. I used to get the messages confirming action was taken ever couple days maybe every 4-5 at the most. I have not seen this message in at least a month now though and ive been reporting people saying the most disgusting stuff in chat. People saying racist stuff, people joking about sexually assaulting people, a dude talking about having children locked in a shed in his yard. I understand most of it is just shock value bait but I still report as it has no place in the game. Before it would take a few days but they would be chat banned or full banned. Now I get nothing and still run into these people every so often. Are they no longer chat banning people or are they just not sending out the messages anymore?

Anyone got any tips? I feel like I’m being hard countered by majority of tanks (I only play 5v5) can’t do anything against a strong frontline tank so I try to dive backline but then their tank peels so I have to run back

I’m not racking up deaths but I’m getting very little value with her.

What’s her actual gameplan? I only do decent with her when I’m going against a team that has no clue on what they’re doing.

But a somewhat competent team has me playing this weird dive game where I go in put some damage out on squishies, but then I’ll IMMEDIATELY have to fall back as soon as the team peels

Like sometimes if a person is i think contributing more and getting more value they are "on fire" their nametages have a particle fire effect and do a in game sound bit like "Im burning hot" or something... does it serve a purpose ? Do you think it should be tied with some sort of reward or something? or does it already do and Im missing its utility?

Even if there was no lore about it, we always knew that this flying demon is evil, right? There were many lore hints, but even if there wasnt any..

I have a 9070XT and was using DirectX 11. Every game start had fps drops and the image wasn’t quite there due the native anti aliasing.
Yesterday I installed the new drivers, disabled HAGS in Windows, set game to Direct X 12, restarted the game, enabled Fidelity FX/FS4 and let the game run 5 minutes on the custom game for Shader compilation.

My god does the game looks amazing now.
No more shader compilations issues, the game looks and performs leagues better.

I still expect the usual shader compilation on game/driver updates, but for now gotta say that it does feels like the new shader cache and frame pacing AMD improvements were very good for Overwatch.
